The Rorschach Writers Guild is a student governed club focused on building creative writing skills. Through brainstorming, abstract inspiration and vocabulary exercises, members will write their own short stories based on images provided by club members through the use of random imagery members will develop creative writing skills while operating within a structured environment and time-frame. These stories are read by the authors every third week, thus, strengthening public speaking skills and formal presentation skills. Stories are critiqued by Rorschach members and will offer constructive feedback,based on grammar, theme and plot construction.
The Guild:
~ Will read and discuss published short stories that involves critical thinking, introduces readers to new authors and inspires creativity
~ Will seek Local authors of fiction for advice and guest speaking
~ Will organize field trips that explore literature in the community by attending literary festivals, book signings and poetry readings
~ Will always be open to any Art Institue Student |
