Origin of the Surname 'Warren'
The first known person with the surname 'Warren', was a Danish Knight in the Norman Army. The introduction of the name on English soil was by one of his descendants, William Warren, a Norman Baron. He accompanied William the Conqueror on his expedition into England in 1066. All English-speaking Warrens are thought to be descended from him.
