April 11, 1754- William Huff to John Barker, 313 acres on the branch of Pigieon Creek. (NOTE: Pigieon Creek runs into the Roanke River and is located on the south border of Brunswick County, with the Roanke River being the border between them. )

JANUARY 17, 1791- John Barker- Daniel Huff on the waters of Pigieon Roost Creek. This indenture made this 17th day of January 1791 between John Barker of the County of Brunswick of the one part, and Daniel Huff of the foresaid county of the other part. For and in consideration of the 100 pounds doth clearly and absolutly bargain and sell release and confirm unto said Daniel Huff, all tract or parcel of land lying and being in county of Brunswick on the waters of Pigieon Roost Creek, as follows; BEGINNING at William Huff corner, white oak on the middle run there on the s Huff's line to a small hickory thence on a spanish Oak thence to Daniel Huff's corner shrub and thence on a line of marked trees to Peter Reads line, thence to a small corner pine, now a lightwood post on Edmund Webb's line on his line to the long branch, thence down the said branch to middle run, thence down the beginning containing by estimation, 216 acres, signed by: John Barker

COURT OF JANUARY 24, 1791- This indenture of bargain and sale was proved, according to law, by the oaths of the witnesses there to and ordered to be recorded-
NORTH CAROLINA WILLS: Iredell County April 2, 1808
IN THE NAME OF GOD AMEN!! I, John Barker Sr of the state of North Carolina, Iredell County, being weak in body but of sound and perfect mind and memory, Thanks be God for the same calling to mind the mortality of body. Knowing that it is appointed for all men once to die, hoping that the great general resurrection to be raised to life, eternal throughout the joy of vision and meditation of our blessed Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ, and do hereby make and ordain this my Last Will and Testament. First of all I do recommend that my soul into the Lord's hands fo the allmighty God, that it gave it to me and body to the earth, to be decently buried after Christian manner, at the discretion of my Executor Heir, aftermentioned, and as a touching my worldly Estate it hath pleased God to bless me within this life. I give and dispose of the same in the following manner and form;
First I give and bequeath to my son Burale Barker, all that I have procest him with 5 shillings, besides extraordinary. Second, I give and (bequeath, marked out) to my daughter Susannah Cheltham, one negro woman named Jude with all increase to her and her heirs forever. Third, to my daughter Elizabeth Foot, I give 2 negroes, a negro woman by the name of Fortune and Phebe and to her and her heirs forever. Fourth to my son Howell Barker, I give 3 negroes by the name of Jack,Easther and Ben to him and his heirs forever. Fifth, one negro woman by the name of Hanner, I'll set her at liberty, only left in the care of my son Henchea. Sixth, I give to my son Hinchea, whom I appoint and constitute my soul exectutor adminstrator of this my last Will and Testament or estate. Seventh, 4 negroes by the name of George, Roger, Tobe, and Racheal and 2 womens increase, these I give unto my son Henchea Barker to him and his heirs forever, and I also give my son, Hinchea Barker all my goods and cattle and household furniture, also my stock of all kinds, as horses, cattle, hogs and sheep to him and his heirs forever. I hereby disallow and revoke all other form or forms, will's or will's, testament or testaments, made by me, declared this no other to be my last will and testament of iventory, where I have here unto set my hand, this 2nd day of April 1808.

IVENTORY OF THE JOHN BARKER SR ESTATE; IREDELL COUNTY 1808
An iventory of the property of John Barker, deceased is such. There is 4 negroes by the name of Roger, George, Hannah and Rachel, one horse beast, 3 heads of cattle, 2 beads, 2 bead stools, one shot gun, one pair of stil yards, too pots, one oven one dih and basin, half dozen plates, too saves, to augars, a going chizel, one foot adds, too jugs, 2 bottles, one shugar pot, one looking glass, candlectick & moles, a drawing knife and hammer, one saddle, one bible and hymn book, one frow and tapor bit, one bee hive.
