FUNERAL SET-Funeral services for Mrs. Walter O. Nelson, 47, of 2330 Rosedale drive, will be held Thursday at 4 p.m. in St. George's Episcopal church. Mrs. Nelson, wife of a prominent Port Arthuran, died Tuesday at 7 p.m. in her home after a sudden illness. Mrs. Nelson had lived in Port Arthur since 1934. (Story on Page 1.)

Funeral services for Mrs. Walter O. Nelson, 47, of 2330 Rosedale drive, wife of a prominent Port Arthuran, and a resident of Port Arthur since 1934, will be held Thursday at 4 p.m. in St. George's Episcopal church. Mrs. Nelson died Tuesday at 7 p.m. in her home following a sudden illness.

The Rev. E.M. Lindgren, rector of the church, will officiate. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial park under direction of the Nunnelly-Stanley Chapel of the Chimes.

A native of Meridian, Miss., Mrs. Nelson was the former Gladys Bell Gorton. She was a member of St. George's Episcopal church. Mr. Nelson is the owner of the Port Arthur Marine Engineering Works.

Other survivors are three sons, John Walter, Richard Odin and Walter Odin Nelson, Jr.; and one daughter, Mrs. Bettie Buddecke, all of Port Arthur; one sister, Mrs. Helen Finn of Vidor; her father, E.H. Gorton of Memphis, Tenn.; and two grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be A.A. DeLee, Charles H. Glenwright, H.G. Malmgren, Louis Petit, Bubba Andrews and J.H. McDowell. Honorary pallbearers will be John Ayres, Harry L. Brown, Floyd English, M.T. Ball, Tom P. Gardner, C.M. Scott, J. Marvin Campbell and Robert Diamond.
