Born in January 1909 in Troy, NY Died in December 2003 "Unfortunately, my grandmother passed away just before Christmas. Born Elizabeth Agnes Wall, she changed her name to Mary Doris, after the aunt that raised her. Her father died when she was 5 and her mother died when she was 11. But she was a month away from her 95th birthday. She outlived her first husband, Edgardo Prieto by 73 years! My wife and I visited her a couple of days before she passed away and we had a wonderful chat about the South America family. She was astounished to hear that her father-in-law Nemesio had a secret family, but remembers a person named "Freddie" who came to the house while she was in Barrenquilla. We suspect that this person was Federico Prieto Cedeno. I believe he is your grandfather, no? This was the 1930's. Wow! She also confessed to a brief romantic interlude with my great-uncle Roberto. She received letters from him confessing his love for her after she returned to New York. It was a wonderful chat we had. Unfortunely, after I kissed my grandmother goodbye, it was the last time I will ever see her. She lived a long and fruitful life. She has five great grandchildren, two of which are grown men. I will always have fond memories of her. Now she is reunited with Edgardo in heaven (along with her two other husbands!). Won't that be a crowded cloud in heaven!"
