Everyone wants fame. Everyone wants power. At what lengths will one go for power? Will you stab your friend in the back? Or will you sell your soul to the devil? Who will sell their soul tonight at SOULED OUT!! Hudson: WELCOME TO SOULED OUT! We have eleven matches signed for tonight. Tenay: A new Cruiserweight champion will be crowned here tonight in a huge match. Booker T and Lance Storm will fight in a two of three falls for the TV title. Tony: Also Hollywood Hogan faces Big Van Vader for the Commissionership. And the World Champion Mike Awesome faces the Ministries Sting. Hudson: Speaking of the Ministry, lets here The Undertaker address his troops. Taped earlier today: Undertaker: Tonight is the night we complete our mission. Tonight we win all the titles and we take over WCW once and for all. Remember though, don't disappoint me. You will feel my wrath if you do. Hudson: Doesn't sound like the Undertaker likes to lose Tony. Tony: That's true Scott. We also have footage of Gene addresses team WCW. Taped earlier today: Gene: Tonight is the night boys. The first shots in this war were fired on Thunder and we must retaliate. Tonight we take back a little bit of power. The line must be drawn here. Tenay: Looks like the leaders of both sides have the troops rallied and ready. We are however starting with a match that doesn't have anything to do with the war between WCW and the Ministry. It's the battle between former partners. Hudson: Don't forget, the winner gets to stay in WCW. The loser gets fired from WCW. We go back to the first of the year when Kronik had a tag team title shot. The deal was that if Kronik lost they couldn't team. Brian Adams turned on Bryan Clark. Since then they have been warring and attacking each other. We then go to the ring.
Bryan Clark and Brian Adams battled to a double
countout in 0:05:52. The battle of Kronik was a hard-hitting affair and wasn't much of a wrestling match. Both men hit their respective finishers but the other man somehow got out. Both men then went to the floor where the fought. The ref had no choice but to count both men out. Hudson: What does this mean for both men? The winner got to stay in WCW. Voodoo Child plays as Hogan comes out on the ramp. Hogan: I was watching your match and say the finish, so I quickly looked over the contract. Guess what, it said the winner stayed in WCW. Since no one won, you are both gone. Adams and Clark look at each other and begin to stalk up at Hogan. Hogan: You two shouldn't have done that. The lights suddenly go out. They come back up on and Adams and Clark are both covered in blood and knocked out. EMT's rush out and check on them. Hudson: Well it looks like both Brian Adams and Bryan Clark are gone from WCW, and their careers might be over. Tenay: What is the deal with these men being covered in blood? The Ministry is a bunch of sicko's. Tony: Speaking of the Ministry, Hugh Morrus is with Mean Gene. Mean: Hugh Morrus, you turned on the fans and your friend Ray Traylor a few weeks ago and joined up with the Ministry. Hugh: Do you hear it Gene? AHAHA. Mean: Hear what? Hugh: Do you hear the voices? They are always talking to me Gene, telling me to do things. Mean: What are you talking about? Hugh: Do you know what they are telling me to do? They are telling me to end the career of that fat hick from Georgia named Ray Traylor. Traylor, twice now you have turned on me. Once in the Dungeon of Doom and now when I needed help. You were there, but the Undertaker was. Tonight I prove to him that I am worthy of him. AHAHAHAH Mean: He has lost it folks. We go to footage of Hugh Morrus and Ray Traylor's war over the last few weeks. We then go to the ring where the two men are preparing to lock up.
Ray Traylor pinned Hugh Morrus with the Traylor Park
Trash in 0:04:17. Ray Traylor won the first battle between then Ministry and WCW. Early on Morrus had the match in control. He hit a powerslam and then a flying elbow. He went back to the top for the No Laughing Matter but Traylor moved. Traylor then gave Morrus a big boot and then gave him the Traylor Park Trash Sidewalk Slam for the win. Hudson: Looks like WCW won the first battle here tonight Mike. Tenay: That's right, but there are many more battle tonight. Up next is the big cruiserweight battle royal for that title Tony. Tony: We know nine of the men involved, and I am going to announce that the tenth man is Lash LeRoux. 10 men in one ring, nine will fall and one will win the title.
No-Countout-No-DQ-10-Man Battle Royal for the vacant
WCW Cruiserweight Title: Ten of the top cruiserweights entered the ring and the match was on. Just Joe fell first after a Tony Mamaluke gave him a springboard headscissors. Alex Wright of the Foreign Connection fell next after an Acid Drop from Spike Dudley. Meanwhile it seemed that the hatred between Brian Christopher and Scott Taylor had boiled over into this match as they brawled. Meanwhile Little Guido and Tony Mamaluke seemed to patch things up as they gave Spike Dudley the spiked Kiss of Death and then Mamaluke gave him a Guillotine Legdrop for the pinfall. Newcomer Jaime Knoble finished off Mamaluke with a top-rope Frankensteiner. Moments later the debuting Lash LeRoux was eliminated by a Frankensteiner from Kidman. Little Guido was eliminated as he tried to avenge Mamaluke's elimination. Knoble gave Guido that devastating Jumping Tombstone. Kidman then went on a tear. Christopher gave Taylor the Tennessee Jam, but Kidman gave Christopher a swinging bulldog for the pin. Kidman and Taylor then worked over Knoble and Kidman hit the Kid Crusher. Taylor next tried a flying lariat, but Kidman ducked. Kidman quickly gave him the Kid Crusher for the win and the title. Hudson: WHAT A MATCH!! Tenay: This proves that the cruiserweights are a vital part of WCW. Tony: This might well be the match of the night here. Tenay: They are show stealers on every show aren't they. Hudson: Well up next is a six-man tag team that will be the next battle in the war between the Ministry and WCW. We see footage from Thunder where the Ministry attacked William Regal, Fit Finlay and Lo Down after their match. We see Finlay taken away in an ambulance and the challenge issued for this six-man match.
The Ministry (Gangrel, Mortis and Papa Shango) defeated This match was a war between six men. Lo Down and William Regal tried hard to keep control but Lo Down and Regal just didn't get along. The end came after Lo Down turned on Regal giving him a double powerbomb. Papa Shango then gave him a Shoulderbreaker for good measure and got the win. Hudson: What is Lo Down's problem? Tenay: Lo Down feel underused here in WCW, which is no secret. Maybe this is their way of telling the company to take a flying leap. Tony: Well the show must go on here guys, I understand Pamela Paulshock is with the new Cruiserweight Champion Billy Kidman. Pam: Billy Kidman congratulations on your big title win here tonight. Kidman: Thanks Pam, and I want to say that I will be a fighting champion, anyone who wants a shot gets a shot. Jamie Knoble then shoves into the interview. Knoble: Kidman, I kicked your ass on Thunder, and if you get me the chance, I will kick your ass on Nitro. Kidman: You show up Monday and you will learn some respect kid. Pam: We have just signed a big match for Nitro guys. Hudson: I would say it's a big match. Up next is what you can call a grudge match between Disqo and Jeff Jarrett. We see footage of Jeff Jarrett and Brian Adams giving Disqo a spiked Piledriver on a chair that sidelined Disqo. We also see Jarrett's mockery of Disqo in a memorial match. We then go to the ring.
Disqo pinned Jeff Jarrett with the Last Dance in 0:05:25. Disqo got the win over Jeff Jarrett after Ray Traylor interfered on Disqo's behalf. Disqo showed a lot of fire, but the ring rust was there as well. Jarrett sent Disqo into the corner and the official went down. This allowed Jarrett go hit Disqo with the guitar. Traylor then come out distracting Jarrett. Disqo recovered and spun Jarrett around. Jarrett kicked Disqo and went for the Stroke, but Traylor held Disqo's trunks so that Jarrett couldn't execute the move. Disqo gave Jarrett a shot to the midsection and then hit the Last Dance for the win. Jarrett quickly rolled to the floor while Disqo and Traylor celebrated in the ring. Hudson: Looks like Jarrett made an enemy when he interfered in the match between The Undertaker and Traylor on Nitro. Tenay: Speaking of the Undertaker something involving the Ministry is going on in the back. We go to the boiler room where the Ministry is. We see Hugh Morrus tied between two pipes. Taker: Hugh Morrus, you failed me tonight. No one fails me Morrus, now you must pay. The Undertaker then pulls out a leather belt and begins whipping Morrus. Taker: Hugh, next time you won't get off so lucky. The camera zooms in on Hugh's chest and we see that the belt cut him open. We then look at his face and he is laughing. Tony: That is sick guys. I can't believe they would do that to their own member. Hudson: What is even sicker is that Hugh seemed to like it. Tenay: Guys up next it looks like we have the TV Title match, and I understand that Mean Gene is with both men. Mean: Thanks Mike. Lance Storm, Booker T, tonight you two fight in a two of three falls where each match is different. This came about because you went to draws in two matches this week. Booker: Mean Gene, it didn't have to be this way. Had that Canadian not been so damn stubborn we could have settled this like gentlemen. Storm: Hold it right there. I was a born to wrestle and bred to win. You know you like to mouth off-- Booker: How about we just stop this crap right now. Storm: Fine. Lance Storm then hits a right hand and the first of three falls begins. The first is a street fight.
No-Countout-No-DQ-Falls-Count-Anywhere Match: This match began in the interview area and went all the way to the ring. Storm controlled in the back by using things like a trashcan and a broomstick. By the time they got to the ring it seemed like Storm had the match won. Storm was on the top rope and took a little to much time and Booker caught Storm in the gut as he tried a double axhandle. Booker then went on fire. Booker hit a flying forearm and a lariat. Booker kicked Storm in the gut and gave him the ax kick. Booker then went for the missile dropkick, which Storm sidestepped. Storm again went to the top and tried another axhandle, but Booker caught him in the Book End for the win. As Booker T celebrated Storm got to his feet and clipped Booker and the second fall began.
[Submission match]: Lance Storm went right after Booker T with leg locks. This was Storm's match as he showed that he was bred to win. Booker T fought for over two minutes in the Maple Leaf before finally tapping out. Storm was forced to release the hold and went right back for it, but Booker kicked him off as the third fall started and the cage lowered
Cage Match: Booker T tried to put Storm's head under the cage as he lowered, but Storm got free. Booker T then began a comeback with shots to the midsection and lariats. Booker T hit another ax kick, but his knee was in bad shape and that injured it again. Storm took advantage and locked Booker back in the Maple Leaf and Booker was forced to submit. Hudson: A new TV Champion has been crowned here at Souled Out. Look in the ring, Lance is helping Booker to his feet. They are shaking hands, what a show sportsmanship. Tenay: What a match, or three matches actually. Tony: Those men are some of the top men in WCW, and I see big things for both men. Hudson: Speaking of top men, up next the two top tag teams fight for the titles. We see clips of the war between both teams. We then go to the ring where the teams are locking up.
The Ministry (Owen Hart and Paul Wight) defeated Scott
Steiner and Rhino when O. Hart made S. Steiner submit to the
Sharpshooter in 0:11:54. The Ministry won yet another match here at Souled Out. This was a stiff affair with neither teaming taking a step back. Owen Hart was focused on early on by Steiner's team and was even set up for the Steiner Recliner at one point. Owen made the tag and The Big Show took over on both men. It then became a four-man brawl. During the brawl Owen gave Steiner an enziguri that knocked him right into the Showstopper from Wight. Owen quickly locked in the Sharpshooter the ref called for the bell when he saw that Steiner was knocked out. The Ministry then filled the ring attacking the other team. This emptied the other locker room. It became a huge brawl between Team WCW and the Ministry. Officials came out and tried to break up the battle, but both teams attacked them just to continue the battle. Rikishi and William Regal fought with Gangrel and Papa Shango to the back. Ray Traylor and Hugh Morrus fought through the crowd and out of site. Vader and Hollywood Hogan went to the back stage area. Tanaka and Mikey also followed. Mortis and Jamie Knoble soon were in the back. This left Sting, The Undertaker and Bret Hart in the ring. Sting and the Undertaker worked on Bret until from the back Mike Awesome came out and attacked Sting. The two brawled to the back and this left The Undertaker and Bret Hart in the ring.
The Undertaker pinned Bret Hart with the Last Rites in 0:14:06. Both men were very aggressive in this match, as neither man wanted to lose. Early on Taker's strength was over powering and he dominated the Hitman. Bret did come back though went the Taker missed a leg drop. Bret went on the offense and worked on his knee, setting up the Sharpshooter. During the match we see that Bret's brother, Owen Hart has made his way to the ringside area. The Undertaker took over when Bret missed a flying elbow. The Undertaker went for the Last Rites, but Bret fought out and hit a beautiful Frankensteiner. Bret quickly locked in the Sharpshooter for what should have been a sure win. However while the ref was checking on Taker, Owen jumped on the apron and gave Bret an enziguri knocking him out. The Undertaker recovered and gave Bret the Last Rites for the win. The Undertaker stood over the fallen Hitman and took the mic. Taker: Bret, I warned you that you wouldn't win, that you couldn't win. You can't fight my army. Tonight I just take your pride, but next time it will be your soul. Owen and the Undertaker leave the ring while Bret laid in the ring. The trainer came in along with CEO Gene Bennett to check on Bret and help him to the back. Tenay: The look on the CEO's face showed that he is losing this war Scott. Hudson: Well the number's game is just too much for Team WCW and they aren't all out for one thing like the Ministry. Tony: Speaking of the Ministry, up next the US Champion Mikey Whipwreck, who has held the title for nearly two months, will face the man that put him out of action for several weeks Masato Tanaka. We see footage of Masato Tanaka injuring Whipwreck with Diamond Dust back on the 11th of January. We then go to the ring.
Mikey Whipwreck pinned Masato Tanaka with the
Whippersnapper in 0:07:59. This match was a great match up between two great athletes, the deciding factor was that Mikey was in the Ministry. Tanaka had Mikey set up for Diamond Dust, but the Sinister Minister shot a fireball into the face of Tanaka and this allowed Mikey to give him a Whippersnapper for the win. Hudson: This makes me sick to my damn stomach. I can't believe that an athlete the caliber of Mikey would need help like that to win matches. Tenay: Well the guys in the Ministry aren't right in the head Scott. Lets face it, they are sick people. Tony: Guys, sorry to interrupt, but I understand that Mark Madden is in the back and that he is with Bret Hart. Madden: Bret, tonight it seemed that your brother has lit a fire under you. Bret: Owen, I want you to bring that big goof you are hanging around with to the ring tomorrow night. I will bring a partner and I want to show you that family is stronger then whatever it is you have in the Ministry. Madden: Looks like we have a title match signed Nitro tomorrow. Hudson: Who could Bret bring in? Tenay: He said family, so that narrows it down to about fifty people in the wrestling world. Tony: Up next we have a battle for the commissionership as the CEO's hand picked man Big Van Vader takes on the current commissioner Hollywood Hulk Hogan. We go back to Sin Sunday when Vader debuted and defeated Hollywood's man Paul Wight. Then we see the battles between both men. We see from Monday night where the Ministry destroyed Vader and strapped him to that Undertaker symbol. We then go to the ring where Hogan and Vader are locking up.
Hulk Hogan pinned Big Van Vader with the Big Leg Drop
in 0:06:19. Hogan got the win with help from a masked man. Vader dominated the match, and was setting up for the Vader Bomb. A masked man came out and hit Vader in the head with a vicious chair shot. Vader fell to the mat, and Hogan hit the leg drop for the win. Hudson: Just what we need, another member of the Ministry. Tenay: How do we know it's a new member, my God look in the ring, Hogan and the masked man are working over Vader. Vader isn't moving, and is busted open. Tony: Oh no, it's the CEO, he shouldn't be doing this. CEO Gene Bennett entered the ring and attacks the masked man with right hands, but Hogan blindsided him. Then from the back out came the Big Show. The Masked Man slammed Bennett, and Hogan gave him a leg drop. Hogan: Gene, I warned you before not to mess with me. Now you are going to learn. On the outside the masked man is setting up a table. Hogan places Gene on the top rope and tells Show to chokeslam off the top through the table. Wight steps onto the apron and gives Gene a chokeslam off the top through the table. Hudson: OH MY GOD! Someone get out here now, I mean now. This kid is hurt bad. Tenay: I can't believe they would do this to that kid. Hudson: And look at that son of a bitch Hogan celebrating with The Big Show and this masked man. They aren't even letting the EMT's check on Gene. This makes me sick. We have to injured men here. First the Ministry lays out Brian Adams and Bryan Clark, now they have put both Vader out. And Gene may very well be seriously injured. Gene seems to be awake and talking, which is a good sign. Tony: Guys, Gene has been put on the stretcher, and they have put a neck brace on him. This is sick. Hudson: Lets hope that he is ok. I doubt we will have an update tonight, but tomorrow on Nitro we will give an update. Tony: Not to sound morbid, but we still have a title match and Mean Gene is with the champion. Mean: Mike Awesome, on Thunder the Ministry drummed you out of their group and viciously attacked you. Then tonight you helped Bret Hart, does this mean you will join in the fight against the Ministry? Awesome: Listen here Mean Gene. I don't need anyone with me to keep this title. I have beaten everyone in this damn company, and Sting will just be the next. Then I am coming after you Hogan. Mean: Looks like Awesome is ready for a war. We see footage of the Ministry attacking Awesome on Thunder and strapping him to the Undertaker symbol just like Vader. We then see Sting defeating Bret Hart, Masato Tanaka and Jeff Jarrett in a four-way dance to get this title match. WE then go to the ring.
Sting pinned Mike Awesome with the Scorpion Death Drop
in 0:10:22. Sting won the title with help from masked man, but we did find out who he was. This match was going back and forth until Sting went for the Stinger Splash, which the official, Charles Robinson, got caught in the middle of. This brought the masked man out, but Awesome was ready for him. Awesome gave both Sting and the Masked Man a lariat and then took the mask off. Awesome was shocked to see Vampiro standing in front of him. Sting took advantage and gave Awesome a low blow followed by the Scorpion Death Drop for the win and the title. Vampiro then gave Awesome the Nail in the Coffin. Vampiro: Awesome, you tried to end my career last time we meet, now I am going to end yours! Vampiro went to the floor and got a table. Sting then brought in two bags. He emptied one bag onto the table and we see thumbtacks all over the table. Vampiro then pulled a bottle of lighter fluid and sprayed the table. He then lights the table on fire. From the back out came Bret Hart and Ray Traylor for the save. Hudson: I can't believe it, Vampiro is back in WCW! Tenay: And look at what he tried to do to Mike Awesome for when Awesome nearly ended his career. Hudson: It has been a hellacious night here at Souled Out. Tony: For Mean Gene, Mark Madden, Pamela Paulshock, Mike Tenay and Scott Hudson, we will see you on Nitro! |
