Thunder comes on the air with footage for Lex Luger returning to WCW and of the announcement that we will see Wargames at Fall Brawl. We then see Arn Anderson and C.W. Anderson leave WCW and ECW. We head straight to the ring where the FBI, Tony Mamaluke and Little Guido Maritato are facing the Andersons in tag action. The Andersons picked up a win in their first tag team bout together. Early on the FBI worked on Arn and kept him in their corner. Guido was about to hit the Kiss of Death when C.W. hit a superkick knocking him from the ring, but Mamaluke tagged as he went through the ropes. Mamaluke took Double A down with dropkick and went for a double springboard DDT but Arn hit his Spinebuster. He tagged in C.W. who came in and took Mamalukes head off with a short lariat and got the win. After the match Guido and Mamaluke got in a shoving match but Big Vito broke it up before it went any further.
The Andersons defeated The F.B.I when C.W. Anderson pinned Mamaluke
after a short lariat in 0:09:13. Styles: Welcome to Thunder everyone. Tonight we have a huge main event as Lex Luger takes on Spike Dudley in a towel match. Ric Flair will be in Luger's corner and Cyrus in Spikes. Madden: Also the Dudley's get a return match against the current tag team champions Bill DeMott and Scotty Steiner. That and much more. Styles: Wait a minute, that royal music can mean only one thing, here comes Jerry Lawler. Madden: And he has the mic, oh great. Lawler: SHUT THE HELL UP ALL YOU STUPID WCW FANS! I am here to address the huge main event at Fall Brawl. ECW verse WCW in a Wargames match. WCW, do you think you even have a chance? You have a fat announcer by the name of Gene Bennett. A washed up loser names Ric Flair. A man in Booker T that can't even beat two green rookies. Lex Luger, who hasn't tried in this sport since the 80's. And lastly the Under--- Suddenly the Undertaker's music hits as he pulls out of the back on his bike. Taker: Hold it right there Lawler. You best be watching your mouth if you are going to talk about me. I have buried your ass before and I will do it again. Lawler: That's right, this ring is your 'yard' isn't it? I forgot about how you have had a decade of destruction. Well that is all in the past. ECW is the future and you are on the wrong side of the fence. Taker: Lawler, when you are in the ring you are on MY side of the fence. I don't like punks trespassing in my yard. Lawler: Then do something about it Dead Man. With that the Undertaker rides his bike to the ring and we have The Undertaker verse Jerry Lawler. Lawler attacked Taker as he hit the ring but Taker just kind of shrugged it off. Lawler then tried to beg off but Taker would have none of it. Taker went to work on Lawler in the corner. From the back out came the rest of Team ECW for Wargames. Taker turned his attention to them allowing Lawler to hit a low blow. Lawler then hit his Piledriver. Instead of going for the win he started to taunt the fans a bit. Taker sat up and waited for Lawler to turn around. Lawler turned around right into a chokeslam and got pinned. The rest of Team ECW then hit the ring and attacked Taker. Spike hit the Acid Drop and the Dudley's hit 3D before Team WCW could make the save.
The Undertaker pinned Jerry Lawler after a choke slam in 0:09:06. Styles: It looks like ECW has got a bit of a mental advantage again WCW Mark. Madden: Well I think all they did was upset The Undertaker. I have seen people do that before and it is something you don't want to do. Styles: I am getting word that Canadian Country has just arrived at the building. We see Owen and Jeff getting out of a car. Owen: How was I to know that Rhino would show up? Jarrett: Had you not left we might not have been embarrassed the way we were. Owen: We? I wasn't pinned by a green rookie, you were----champ. Jarrett: Was that sarcasm? Owen: Yeah because if you had a set to defend that title against me I would be the champion again. Jarrett: Well how about tonight. Owen: You got it buddy. We then go to break. After the break we see two of the five hardcore wrestlers that will fight for the hardcore title at Fall Brawl as Mikey Whipwreck takes on Steve Blackman. Whipwreck, the former US Champion, made short work of Blackman. Blackman got several near falls but Mikey hit his Whippersnapper out of nowhere for the win.
No-Countout-No-DQ-Falls-Count-Anywhere Match: Madden: Those are just two men fighting, what will it be like when you add three more Joey. Styles: Well ECW had brawls like this in the past and it will be just that wild. Three ECW guys and two WCW guys, but gold can make people do things they wouldn't normally do. I think it will be a fight plain and simple. Madden: I think you hit the nail on the head Joey. When we come back it will be Big Vito challenging for the TV Title. Regal continued his winning streak in a tough match against Big Vito. Regal and Vito started off in a series of chops but Vito went to the eyes. Vito did hit the Big Vito Special Flying Elbow but Regal was too close to the ropes. Vito then went for hit Jumping DDT, but Regal countered into a hotshot type move. Regal then hit the Cobra Neckbreaker for the win.
William Regal pinned Big Vito with the Cobra Neckbreaker in 0:07:59. Styles: William gets another big win. He could go down as the best TV champion of all time Mark. Madden: William is one of the best in the business today. He is amazing in the ring and can wrestle any style that people want to wrestle. Styles: Right now lets go to the back where Terry Taylor is with Curt Hennig and Disqo. Taylor: Curt, at Fall Brawl you are going to be teaming with you student Disqo to take on the new team of Arn and C.W. Anderson. Hennig: Terry it doesn't surprise me that Arn turned on us. However he didn't tell the truth about no one calling him. I tried several times but no one answered. Arn is a legend in this sport and I gave him all the respect he deserved. Disqo: Hold it Curt. He doesn't deserve any respect the way he turned on WCW. The one company that gave him everything he wanted and he turns on us. Hennig: Disqo you are so-----right. Arn is nothing but trash. At Fall Brawl he is going to get his. Taylor: Tonight you two team up against a young hungry team of Danny Doring and Roadkill. Hennig: I have fought this team before. Not to take anything away from Danny or Roadkill but tonight we are going to be---- Disqo: PERFECT! Taylor: When we come back Disqo and Curt against Doring and Roadkill. Hennig and Disqo picked up a win over the more experienced team. Roadkill and Doring did get Hennig in the corner for about two minutes. A hot tag to Disqo began the end. Disqo gave Doring a swinging neckbreaker. Hennig then took Doring out of the ring. Roadkill tried for a springboard clothesline but Disqo moved. Disqo then hit the Last Dance for the win.
Curt Hennig and Disqo defeated Danny Doring and Roadkill when Disqo
pinned Roadkill with the Last Dance in 0:05:44. Styles: Disqo and Curt didn't have great teamwork but both men are great wrestlers. That could be team to watch for as they get more experience. Madden: I am always real hard on Disqo but he is a great wrestler. With the leadership and experience of Curt he could be a breakout star in the future. Lets go to the back where Mike Tenay is with Scott Steiner and Bill DeMott. Tenay: Guys, in just a few minutes you take on former tag team champions the Dudley Boys. Steiner: Tenay, the Dudley Boys started this whole ECW thing. They came in and basically kicked our asses. It was then that WCW started to fight back. I remember the beating I took at Bash at the Beach. I remember the pain. Tonight I get a little revenge. DeMott: This group of ECW wrestlers has hurt guys. They nearly ended Lash's career because they could. Look what they did to Owen and Lance when they won the titles. Steiner: The only regret I have is not being able to in the Wargames match. However tonight we get a little revenge against the Dudley's tonight. Tenay: After the break Tag Team Title action. The Dudley's came within an eye lash of becoming the tag team champions again. D-Von hit his hangman's neckbreaker on Steiner but DeMott broke it up. The match then became a brawl. Steiner hit a Frankensteiner on Buh Buh but D-Von broke it up. DeMott then hit a flying spin kick for a near fall until Buh Buh broke it up. Steiner took Buh Buh over the top with a Steinerline. Steiner then caught D-Von with a belly to belly. Steiner sat D-Von on the top rope and hit a Super Frankensteiner and DeMott hit the Moonsault at almost the same second D-Von hit the mat for the win.
Bill DeMott and Scott Steiner defeated The Dudley Boys when DeMott
pinned D-Von Dudley after a moonsault in 0:12:21. Styles: What a match that was Mark. Madden: That is a devastating combo move with the Super Frankensteiner and the Moonsault. That is 275 pounds of Bill DeMott landing on you as you hit the mat. Styles: The team is flashy but they are good. Both men are in their primes and it is amazing to watch them. Madden: When we come back it will be DDP taking on Lance Storm. DDP nearly got back on the winning side of things as he was about to hit the Diamond Cutter on the Cruiserweight Champion when once again Kanyon appeared on the big screen. This time Kanyon is in DDP's house. Kanyon: Hey Page, does this place look familiar? You said you saw something in me when I first broke into the sport, and what you saw was the man that would take over your spot. So you decided to hold me back. Well you did just that. Now it is time for me to take MY SPOT! Look at you. You are an overachiever in everything you do and that includes your marriage. The camera moves as Kanyon opens a door a little and we see DDP's wife Kimberly taking a nap. Kanyon: SHE SHOULD BE MINE! I AM THE SUPERSTAR!! I DESERVE EVERYTHING YOU HAVE!! Kanyon shuts the door. Kanyon: She will be mine soon Page. She will be mine just like everything else you have. SHE WILL FEEL MY BANG!! The screen goes black. DDP is shocked and turns around right into a small package and the win for Storm.
Non-Title-Match: Madden: I am all for Kanyon becoming a star but that isn't the way to do it. Styles: That is a man's family he is messing with. If he wants to get DDP's attention I think he did it. Madden: I hope Kanyon knows what he is doing. Styles: When we come back it will be Booker T taking on Shane Douglas. Shane Douglas got the win over the former world champion. Booker T has been on one heck of a losing streak. He just seems to be out of sort in the ring. Since losing the World Title Booker T hasn't been the same. He had Douglas beat but didn't make the cover soon enough. Tammy came down and distracted Booker allowing Douglas to hit the Franchiser for the win.
Shane Douglas pinned Booker T with the Franchiser in 0:07:47. Madden: Shane is a hell of a wrestler and one of my favorites but he just can't seem to win without help of some kind. Styles: That's true Mark. Shane is probably one of the most talented performs yet he relies on outside forces to win. Madden: Well that is the past and in the future is Jeff Jarrett and Owen Hart for the World Title. Jeff Jarrett got the win over Owen Hart but it was a tainted win. These men while good friends really tore into each other. Owen got a near fall with a small package that really upset Jarrett. The two then went into a series of rights and illegal holds. Jarrett even tried to hook the trunks but the official caught him. The end came when Rhino came to ringside and tripped Owen. Owen turned around right into the Stroke and the pinfall. After the match Rhino gored Jarrett and Owen both. They both also got powerbombs before leaving them laying.
Jeff Jarrett pinned Owen Hart with the Stroke in 0:06:07. Styles: OH MY GOD! Both Jeff and Owen were gored in half. Madden: Owen is holding his ribs and Jarrett hasn't moved since the powerbomb. I think we just saw the next World Champion in Rhino. Styles: Well when we come back it will be the main event towel match. Lex Luger taking on The Giant Killer, Little Spike Dudley. Spike Dudley went down to The Total Package in this towel match. Spike tried everything but couldn't get Flair to toss the towel in. Spike even tried to end it with Flair's own Figure Four. During the match Buh Buh and D-Von came to ringside. Spike went for the Acid Drop but Luger countered into the Torture Rack. Spike screamed in pain but Cyrus refused to throw the towel in. Finally D-Von grabbed the towel and tossed it in nearly two minutes after the move was applied.
Towel Match: Madden: Luger might have broken Spike in half. Styles: Cyrus wouldn't throw the towel in because he didn't give a damn. He doesn't care about Spike or anyone else for that matter. Madden: Trainer Michael Martin is in looking at Spike. Here comes the EMT's. We have to go. Hopefully we will have an update on Nitro. |
