Nitro comes on the air and we go to the announce table where Scott Hudson is with Cyrus. Hudson: It is a big night here on Nitro. We will find out two more matches for Massacre on 34th Street as we find out what four teams will face off for the tag titles. We four tag team matches here tonight. Cyrus: Also Owen Hart, Jaime Knoble and Too Cool all fight to find out who will face Chris Candido for the Cruiserweight championship. Plus in non title action it is Spike Dudley and The Undertaker. Hudson: The man without a country, Lance Storm, will face The King Jerry Lawler. Sting takes on Balls Mahoney in Hardcore action, Jeff Jarrett takes on Mikey Whipwreck and Little Guido defends the TV title against Ray Traylor all tonight. Cyrus: Let's get to the ring where Danny Doring and Roadkill try to get into the Fatal Four Way at the pay per view as they face Steve Blackman and Curt Hennig. Doring and Roadkill are the first team to qualify for the Fatal Four way as they won this match. This was the first time that Hennig and Blackman teamed and it showed. Blackman had the match won but Hennig was in the ring so the official had to put him out. This allowed Doring and Roadkill to hit the Buddy Bag for the win.
Danny Doring and Roadkill defeated Steve Blackman and
Curt Hennig when Doring pinned Blackman after the Buggy Bag in 0:05:51. Cyrus: Looks like it will be an all ECW Fatal Four Way. Hudson: We still have three matches including Arn Anderson and a youngster he has taken under his wing, Johnny the Bull challenging the Dudley's. However up next it will be the team of Bill DeMott and Scott Steiner taking on Big Vito and Tony Mamaluke. DeMott and Steiner moved on into to Four Way in this match. Not a lot to talk about. The end came when Vito missed a Mafia kick and hit Mamaluke setting up the Moonsault and the win.
Bill DeMott and Scott Steiner defeated Big Vito and
Tony Mamaluke Hudson: Hell yeah! Cyrus, looks like your all ECW match just went down the drain. Cyrus: Well we still have two matches so Steiner and DeMott might e out of luck as they face three ECW teams. Up next we see the Dudley's take out Anderson and Johnny. The Dudley's picked retained their titles and head into the Four Way. Arn and Johnny didn't have good teamwork. Arn and Johnny did seem to have the match won however. Johnny jumped to the top for his legdrop but D-Von crotched him. Buh Buh fought out of the backbreaker and gave Arn the Buh Buh Cutter. D-Von then hit the Hangman's Neckbreaker and got the win.
The Dudley Boys defeated Arn Anderson and Johnny the
Bull when D-Von Dudley pinned Johnny the Bull with the Hangman's
Neckbreaker in 0:04:16. Cyrus: Oh yeah, another win for ECW. That puts ECW up two to one Scotty old boy. Hudson: Well up next it will be C.W. Anderson and Chris Candido taking on DDP and a returning Chris Kanyon. We go to the back and we see DDP and Kanyon coming to the ring. Kanyon has on a protective mask because of Lawler's fireball. DDP and Kanyon got the win with help for Candido's nemesis Gene Bennett. Early on it was all DDP and Kanyon as they were fired up. However the Triple Threat came back with some dirty tactics. C.W. gave DDP a low blow and Candido hit a swinging neckbreaker. Candido seemed to have the match won when Gene Bennett ran down to ringside. This distracted Candido. C.W. went to the floor and attacked Gene which allowed DDP to take a fresh Kanyon. Kanyon spun Candido around and hit the Kanyon Cutter for the win.
Diamond Dallas Page and Kanyon defeated The Triple
Threat (C.W. Anderson and Chris Candido) when Kanyon pinned Candido
with the Kanyon Cutter in 0:06:19. Hudson: Looks like it will be two on two as far as teams go for the Fatal Four Way. Kanyon looked good in his return. Cyrus: Who gives a damn about Kanyon? How can a man concentrate when someone is practically stalking his girlfriend? The NETWORK has warned Mr. Bennett about this. I guess we will have to talk to him on Thunder about his recent actions. Hudson: His actions have been to keep the action in the ring and not continually have some tramp interfere in matches. Cyrus: Well if you keep up with that kind of language the NETWORK is going to have heat with you too! Hudson: The network can stick it Cyrus and so can you. Up next we find out who will take the Cruiserweight title of Chris Candido in a fatal four way right here on Nitro. Owen Hart will walk into Massacre on 34th Street as the challenger for the Cruiserweight title. He defeated three former champions to get the shot. First to fall was Scott Taylor. Taylor got hit by an enzuigiri from Owen which allowed Owen to get the pin. Next to fall was Brian Christopher, the other half of Too Cool. Knoble got the pinfall after a series of great moves. First it was a German suplex followed by a dragon suplex followed by a small package and then the winning German suplex. This left Owen and Knoble. Knoble seemed to have the match won but Owen reversed the Tombstone and then locked in the Sharpshooter. Knoble wouldn't give up but passed out to the pain giving Owen the victory.
No-Countout-No-DQ-4-Man Battle Royal: Cyrus: Looks like it will be Owen Hart challenging Chris Candido. An easy win for Chris. Hudson: An easy win? Owen has held the World and Tag Team titles here in WCW before. Owen is probably the most underrated wrestler we have in WCW today. He has been waiting for a chance and this is it. Cyrus: What is that dribble about? Owen is nothing more then a shadow of a man we at the NETWORK got rid of, Bret Hart! Hudson: You were the ones that screw Bret Hart out of this company? Cyrus: Yes we are. And we will do it to anyone who refuses to do what we at the NETWORK tell them to do. Up next our owner Jerry Lawler takes on Lance Storm. Jerry Lawler picked up a huge win going into the pay per view with help from an unlikely source. Storm was dominating Lawler until Ric Flair came to ringside. At one point Flair tripped Lawler. This distracted Storm as he started to yell Flair about interfering in his business. This allowed Lawler to recover. Lawler gave Storm a low blow followed by his patented Piledriver for the win. Flair then attacked Lawler. He was about to lock in the Figure Four when Storm gave Flair a DDT. Lawler pulled himself up only to take a superkick that knocked him to the floor.
Jerry Lawler pinned Lance Storm with the Piledriver in 0:08:23. Cyrus: What is Lance doing? Doesn't he know that Jerry is ECW? Hudson: I think Lance knows and just doesn't give a damn. He attacked both Flair and Lawler just now Cyrus. Lance is a truly a man without a country or a company. Both ECW and WCW better watch out for Lance Storm. Up next it will be the TV Champion Little Guido taking on Ray Traylor. Little Guido got a tough win over Ray Traylor. Traylor was fired up and wanted to be the first man to bring a title back to WCW. Traylor nearly did that with his Traylor Park Trash but Guido was too close to the ropes. Traylor then went for a splash from the middle rope but Guido moved. Guido then went to work on Traylor and ended it with the Kiss of Death. Guido was about to lock Traylor into an ankle lock much like he did Disqo but Steve Blackman ran out and made the save.
Little Guido Maritato pinned Ray Traylor with the Kiss
of Death in 0:07:07. Hudson: Guido picks up another big win. Guido is one hell of a wrestler and it really is too bad that he is an ECW superstar. Cyrus: He used to be a WCW wrestler and you didn't do a damn thing with him. He is in ECW and is champion already. Proves that we know talent. Hudson: Well up next we will show you what our talent can do as Sting will destroy Balls Mahoney. Sting got the win in this hardcore battle. Several times both men were at standstills hold the other back with their respective chair and bat. Balls was about to win the match with the Nutcracker Suite when Vampiro was seen in the rafters. This distracted Balls allowing Sting to slide down Ball's back and hit the Scorpion Death Drop for the win.
No-Countout-No-DQ-Falls-Count-Anywhere Match: Hudson: Another win for WCW. WCW is set for this Sunday's pay per view Cyrus. Cyrus: That might be but when the smoke clears and the dust settles it will be ECW standing tall. This is ECW now Scotty boy and don't you forget it. Hudson: Oh I won't forget, trust me. Up next it will be Jeff Jarrett, the next World Champion, taking on Mikey Whipwreck. Jeff Jarrett got another win for WCW in this match up. Early on it was back and forth but soon Balls Mahoney came out and distracted Jarrett giving Mikey a chance to take over. Mikey went to work trying to keep Double J down. He was about to hit the Whippersnapper when the lights went out and Rollin' played over the PA. Both Mikey and Balls turned to see the Undertaker and his Motorcycle coming down the ramp. This threw Mikey off. Instead of going for the Whippersnapper he put Jeff on the top rope. Mikey went for a Top Rope Frankensteiner but Jeff countered into a power bomb and got the win. After the match Balls entered the ring and was about to blast Jeff with a chair shot when Taker hit the ring. Mikey meanwhile was recovering. Mikey spun Taker around and tried to throw a fireball at him. Taker however moved and it was Balls Mahoney that took the fireball in the face. Taker then knocked Mikey over the top rope. Balls stumbled around the ring until Jeff Jarrett grabbed his trusty guitar and knocked Balls out.
Jeff Jarrett pinned Mikey Whipwreck after a power bomb
in 0:10:31. Cyrus: How could Jeff do that to a man who was just blinded by a fireball? That man makes me sick. Is that the kind of World Champion you want in WCW Scott? Hudson: This is a war Cyrus, you yourself said that. In war you do stuff that isn't right. But that is what happens in war Cyrus. And up next the war is going to be taking to our Champion in a non-title match. The Undertaker stayed at ringside and attacked Spike as he hit the ring. This was not the kind of match that the World Champion wanted as he couldn't get on track and was really dominated by Taker. The end came when Taker finally put Spike out of his misery by chokeslamming him to hell.
Non-Title-Match: Hudson: There goes the World Champion down. Cyrus: Damn it. ECW better get ready because WCW is coming to fight and we need to suck it up. Hudson: See you on Thunder everyone! |
