Nitro comes on the air with the Horsemen arriving. None of them are talking and seem to be very upset with each other. Finally Flair turns to the group. Flair: Listen guys, this can't go on anymore. We are the most elite group in wrestling history and this isn't how history is going to remember us. Tonight we need to get our act together isn't that right Arn? Suddenly Arn hits the Hardcore Champion Rhino in the back of the head with a tire iron. The rest of the Horsemen then begin to attack the Man Beast. They all stomp a mud hole in him. Flair: That is for screwing up. You aren't one of us boy and never will be. Tonight you defend that title against the Enforcer, and you won't be wearing the title after that! We then go to the ring where TV Champion Chris Kanyon is taking on Tony Mamaluke of the FBI. This match was back and forth. Early on it was all Kanyon. He hit a rocker dropper followed by a swinging fisherman suplex, but Mamaluke got to the ropes. Mamaluke took over with a low blow and a snap mare. Mamaluke then went to the top for his Top Rope Legdrop, but Kanyon moved. He then hit a top rope piledriver followed by the Kanyon Cutter for the win. The rest of the FBI ran to the ring but Kanyon escaped through the crowd.
Chris Kanyon pinned Tony Mamaluke with the Kanyon
Cutter in 0:05:25. Bennett: Welcome to WCW Nitro! I am Gene Bennett joined by Scott Hudson. Tonight we have some big matches. Hudson: Besides the Arn Anderson Rhino match it will be the tag team champions taking on Jeff Jarrett and Curt Hennig. Also it will be Booker T taking on William Regal one on one. Bennett: Plus the Triple Threat takes on Lash LeRoux, Bill DeMott and Scott Taylor is six man tag action. Hudson And after the break it will be Disqo taking on Big Vito one on one. This match wasn't quite what people wanted and the crowd wasn't into it. Disqo tried hard but the FBI wants to be recognized here in WCW and Disqo was just a stepping stone. Disqo went for the Last Dance, but Vito countered by whipping him into the ropes. Vito then hit the Mafia kick followed by the Big Vito Special DDT for the win.
Big Vito pinned Disqo with the Big Vito Special in 0:07:39. Bennett: That is three loses in a row for Double G Scott. Since losing the TV title he just doesn't seem to be able to concentrate. Hudson: That is for sure Gene. Let's go to the back where Terry Taylor is with Bill DeMott and company. T. Taylor: Thanks Scott. Bill, tonight you try to get some revenge on Shane Douglas for interfering in your match last week on Thunder. DeMott: Terry, this has been about respect. Tonight I want to earn it. Shane seems to want to talk about me in the back. Talk about how I am too fat and how I shouldn't even be allowed in the ring. Well tonight he is going to find out just who shouldn't be allowed to fight. S. Taylor: This man here was the only one who believed in me here in WCW. He is the one that would watch my back after Brian turned on me. Tonight Lash and I are proud to fight with Bill. T. Taylor: Up next six man tag team action. This was a great six man match with lots of tags. Early on the Triple Threat focused on Lash and worked on him. They made several quick tags and doubled and triple teamed him. Finally Lash made a tag to Taylor and all hell broke loose. It was then time for the Triple Threat to be double and triple teamed. Then the tag was made to C.W. and again the match went to hell in a hand basket. During this Taylor and Lash hit a double superplex and DeMott hit his moonsault for the win. After the match Shane grabbed a chair and laid out all three men before going to the back.
Scott Taylor, Lash LeRoux and Bill DeMott defeated
Chris Candido, C.W. Anderson and Shane Douglas when DeMott pinned
C.W. Anderson with the Moonsault in 0:12:00. Bennett: What in the hell was that all about. This whole damn company has gone crazy. DeMott seems to be busted wide open. Hudson: That doesn't surprise me anymore. Nothing surprises me now. This company has gone to hell and I have a mind to just quit all together. Bennett: Scott, this company needs at least one honest man and you are him. Hudson: Up next, Jaime Knoble takes on Brian Christopher in a cruiserweight match. Knoble picked up a big win after losing his cruiserweight title on Thunder. Brian was on top of his game. He hit a full nelson faceslam. He went for the Tennessee Jam, but Knoble moved. Jamie then hit a slingshot lariat and followed it up with his Jumping Tombstone for the win.
Jaime Knoble pinned Brian Christopher with the Jumping
Tombstone Piledriver in 0:08:35. After the match the Unholy Alliance hit the ring. Knoble jumped out of the ring but Brian was still on the mat. Taker picked up Brian and set him up for the Last Ride. Wight then grabbed Wight by the throat as he was being held up by Taker. They then gave him a spiked Last Ride. From the back out came Ray Traylor armed with his nightstick. He nailed Wight several times sending him over the top rope while Taker just went out of the ring. Traylor: Why don't you pick on someone your own size punk? Wight: You talking about me? You want a piece of me? Well why don't we do it hardcore? Traylor: YOU GOT IT! I WILL SHOW YOU WHAT HARDCORE AND HARDTIME IS ALL ABOUT! The match was on as Traylor slide right into Wight's chest. Traylor went to work in Wight's chest with chops and rights. The Undertaker started coming toward Traylor but Traylor turned around and started giving Taker a series of rights. Finally Taker went down and turned right into a kick from Wight. Wight then began to punch and kick Traylor up the ramp way. On the ramp Wight set up for the Showstopper but Traylor hit a low blow and hit a big boot knocking Wight off his feet. Traylor turned into a choke hold and then a chokeslam from the Undertaker. Wight then got up and gave him the Showstopper for the win.
No-Countout-No-DQ-Falls-Count-Anywhere Match: Bennett: Traylor came close to defeating the Big Show, but I don't understand why he came out. It isn't really like Ray. Hudson: He seems to be a confusing superstar Gene. You never know what Ray is going to do. Bennett: Let's go to the back where Mike Tenay is with William Regal. Tenay: Mr. Regal, tonight you face off with a former World Champion in Booker T. Regal: It is Lord William Regal to you, you miserable little toe rag. Tonight I get to reinvent myself. I am no longer a follower of Mr. Flair. Tonight I begin a journey toward what I deserve, the World Title. Tenay: Booker T is pre-occupied with the Dudley's, do you think this will help you in this match? Regal: I don't need help, tonight I take Booker out and become one step closer to my title. Tenay: Up next, Booker T and William Regal one on one. Booker T wasn't pre-occupied, he was more focused then we have seen in a long time. Regal however wouldn't go down without a fight. It was a very hard hitting match with Regal hitting his Cobra Neckbreaker but Booker kicking out. Regal then went for a knee drop but Booker moved. Booker then hit a Harlem Sidekick followed by the scissor kick for the win.
Booker T pinned William Regal after a scissor kick in 0:06:59. Bennett: Booker looks ready for Bash at the Beach. Hudson: Booker is always ready Gene, we both know that. Speaking of always ready up next it will be the Undertaker taking on Big Van Vader. Vader picked up a big win over The Undertaker. This wasn't without help from Team Blood and Ray Traylor. Vader and Taker were nose to nose until Team Blood showed up at ringside distracting Taker. The Big Show came out and attack Team Blood. The official was distracted which allowed Ray Traylor to come out and hit Taker in the head with the nightstick. This set up the Vader Bomb and the win for Vader.
Big Van Vader pinned The Undertaker with the Vader
Bomb in 0:08:53. Bennett: A big win for Vader there. Wait a minute, Rhino is on the ramp and Vader doesn't see him. Vader turns right into a gore from Rhino. Rhino puts the boots to Vader before spitting on him and heading to the back. Hudson: What in the hell was that all about? Bennett: Well Flair and the Horsemen might have lit a fire under Rhino that no one can put out Scott. Hudson: Speaking of the Horsemen, their opponents tonight are standing by with Mark Madden. Madden: Hudson, are you the one that got me this damn assignment? Anyway I am here with the World Tag Team and World Heavyweight Champion, the Dudley Boys. Buh Buh: SHUT THE HELL UP FAT BOY! Tonight we take out the trash called the Horsemen. D-Von: They talk about how elite and great they are. Well after we are done there will only be two. And the two left are nothing but old stupid men. Buh Buh: Someone should have taken that horse toothed jackass Ric Flair out to pasture a long time ago. Tonight we begin as we take out that Honky Tonk Man rip of Jeff Jarrett and that other reject Curt Hennig. Madden: Up next the Tag Team titles are on the line. The Dudley's got the win after the Horsemen fell apart in the middle of the match. Jeff and Curt argued throughout the match. They did have the upper hand several times but the arguing usually ended the advantage. Finally Jarrett grabbed his guitar and blasted Hennig. Jarrett then walked off. Moments later Curt got hit with 3D and the Dudley's retained their titles.
The Dudley Boys defeated Jeff Jarrett and Curt Hennig
when Buh Buh Ray pinned Curt Hennig after the Dudley Death Drop in 0:13:31. Bennett: Damn Jeff Jarrett, damn him to hell. Hudson: Doesn't Jeff understand that WCW is at war here? Bennett: Jeff doesn't give a damn about himself or anyone else. We then go to the back where we see Jeff Jarrett run into Flair and Anderson. Flair: What was that Jeff? Jarrett: Ric, he didn't give a damn about the Horsemen. I did what you would have done Ric. I remember you taking Sting out of the Horsemen. Flair: Well you should have talked to me about it first son. Don't worry, I am sure you were right, I never really did trust Curt anyway. Anderson: Ric, this messes up our plan for my match doesn't it? Flair: Don't worry, everything will work out Arn. Jeff and Ric walk to the back while Arn continues to stretch for the main event. Rhino and Arn had a good match that was more like a bar room brawl. It seemed that everyone was watching and quite a few were involved. Ric Flair and Jeff Jarrett came out and tried to interfere but Curt Hennig came out and attacked Jarrett. Flair got gored and then Anderson did. Moments later Arn tapped out to the Rhino Recliner.
No-Countout-No-DQ-Falls-Count-Anywhere Match Bennett: Damn, Rhino wins again. This makes me sick. Hudson: For Mike Tenay, Mark Madden, Terry Taylor and Gene Bennett, I am Scott Hudson see you on Thunder. |
