Thunder comes on the air with footage from the end of Nitro.  We see the Dudley's leaving nine men down and out.  We then go to the ring where the CEO has the mic. Flair:  I only have a few more weeks of power here in WCW but I am going to make the best of it.  Basically I am going to make Curt Hennig and Arn Anderson's lives HELL!  Tonight, my 'good' friend Arn, you have none other then BIG VAN VADER!  Suddenly the Hardcore Champion Rhino charges the ring and grabs Flair. Rhino:  Ric, you promised me a title shot now I WANT IT! Flair:  I gave you the Hardcore title shot, what more do you want?   From the back we see Jeff Jarrett sneaking in to the ring.  He tries to attack Rhino but Rhino turns and Gores Jarrett.  He then grabs Flair.  Flair:  OK!  OK!  YOU GOT IT!  YOU GET YOUR SHOT!! Rhino throws Flair to the mat and leaves now that he has his title shot.  We then go to the back where the Commissioner Dusty Rhodes is watching.  Then William Regal comes in. Regal:  Hello Mr. Rhodes. Dusty:  What can I do for you Mr. Regal? Regal:  Well I know that you are a fair man.  I am looking to get back into the title picture and was wondering if I could get a US title shot at Bash at the Beach. Dusty:  Well William, Bill DeMott already has that match. Regal:  What?  That, that, fat---I mean oh him.  Well Mr. Rhodes how about this.  If I can beat Mr. DeMott in the middle of the ring then we have ourselves a triple threat match.  Dusty:  You have it Willie.   Regal:  Um, its William, and thank you. We then go to the ring where Chris Kanyon is defending his TV title against C.W. Anderson. Kanyon dominated C.W. but Tony Mamaluke came out and tried to help C.W.  This ended up backfiring as Mamaluke actually hit C.W.  This set up a Fireman's carry into a flap jack and Kanyon retained his title. Chris Kanyon pinned C.W. Anderson after a fireman's carry into a flapjack in 0:05:47. Rating: * 1/2 (Chris Kanyon retained the WCW TV Title.) Tenay:  What a way to open Thunder folks.  Signed here tonight already is Spike Dudley and Rhino for the World Title.  Also it Bill DeMott takes on William Regal. Madden: Don't forget that Ric Flair has hired Big Van Vader to take out Arn Anderson. Tenay:  Speaking Vader, I understand he is in the CEO's office right now. Flair:  Listen big man, I know we have had our differences lately but that is over now.  Vader:  Well I will do it but you have to do something for me. Flair:  What is it? Vader:  Well actually two things.  First off I want that punk Rhino at Bash at the Beach. Flair:  That is fine with me since he turned out to be no good anyway.  What is the second thing? Vader:  I want little bitch Spike Dudley on Nitro. Flair:  You got it, just make sure you take out Arn. Vader:  Don't worry. We go to break with Flair and Vader shaking hands. After the break we see Team Blood taking on Owen Hart and Jim Neidhart in Jim's return match Team Blood and the New Hart Foundation team of Jim and Owen had a great match up.  There was a lot of back and forth action.  During the match The Undertaker and Paul Wight came out.  Show handed Jim a pair of Brass Knuckles which set up the pinfall and win for Jim and Owen. Owen Hart and Jim Neidhart defeated Team Blood when Neidhart pinned Vampiro after hitting him with brass knuckles in 0:08:09. Rating: *** 1/4 We then go to the back where Disqo is getting some coffee.  Suddenly Brian Christopher spins Disqo around. Brian:  What is your problem boy? Disqo:  What do you mean? Brian:  Do you enjoy breaking up tag teams boy? Disqo:  Hey, you weren't even teaming with Steve anymore.  I needed the toughest guy in WCW to team with and I think Steve and I made a pretty damn good team. Brian:  Well how about I kick your punk ass? Disqo:  You want me, YOU GOT IT! After the break we have Brian and Disqo going one on one. Disqo picked up a big win with help from Steve Blackman.  Early in the match Brian knocked Disqo out with a brainbuster.  This brought out Blackman that tried to keep Brian back.  Brian backed off and Blackman began to check on Disqo.  This is when Brian went to work on Blackman with his own Kendo stick.  Brian completely forgot about Disqo who recovered.  He spun Brian around and gave him the Last Dance for the win.  Disqo pinned Brian Christopher with the Last Dance in 0:06:11. Rating: * 1/4 Disqo helped Blackman to his feet and the two went to the back.  Brian meanwhile looked back at the duo with fire in his eyes. Madden:  Why would the Lethal Weapon Steve Blackman want to hang out with that born loser Disqo is beyond me. Tenay:  Disqo took that brainbuster and was out.  Someone should talk to Disqo and have him take some time off Mark.  Madden:  Maybe they could convince him not to come back either Mike.  He is the biggest loser in the sport.  Tenay:  Let's go to the back where Gene Bennett is with Bill DeMott and company. Bennett:  Thanks Mike.  Bill, tonight you face off with William Regal with a spot in your US title match on the line. DeMott:  That is fine with me Gene.  I have fought William before and he is a fine competitor.  However, it seems that he has a problem with my size by the comments he made.  He was about to call me fat until he realized that he was talking to Dusty.  William, this fat boy is going to take you out tonight. Bennett:  Lash, I was wondering if I could get a few words from you about your title match. Lash:  I have been waiting for this chance for sometime.  Tonight I take the Triple Threat down a notch. Bennett:  Up next it will be Chris Candido and Lash LeRoux for the Cruiserweight title.  Chris Candido picked up a win with help from his lovely valet Tammy.  Lash seemed set to take the cruiserweight title when Tammy jumped up on the apron.  She began to pull her skirt up a little bit and Lash was memorized as was Mark Madden.  This allowed Chris to recover and hit a belly to back suplex.  Moments later Candido picked up the win with his Flying Headbutt.  Chris Candido pinned Lash LeRoux with the Flying Headbutt in 0:05:24. Rating: * 1/2 (Chris Candido retained the WCW Cruiserweight Title.) After the match Tammy slide a chair in to Chris who was about to blast Lash when Scott Taylor ran out for the save. Madden:  DID YOU SEE THAT!!  Last time I saw something like that was when I was in Las Vegas.  Tenay:  Settle down Mark, you are going to have a heart attack if you keep it up.  Madden:  Kentucky Fried Chicken doesn't have legs and thighs like that. Tenay:  Oh my.  Up next it will Jaime Knoble and Curt Hennig. Knoble picked up his biggest win to date as he upset Curt.  During the match Jeff Jarrett came to ringside.  This distracted Hennig who went to the floor and attacked Jarrett.  During this Ric Flair gave Knoble a pair of knuckle dusters.  Hennig re-entered the ring and got blasted.  Knoble then hit the Tombstone and picked up the upset win.  Jaime Knoble pinned Curt Hennig with the Jumping Tombstone Piledriver in 0:05:30. Rating: * Flair:  What did I tell you Curt.  I will make sure you suffer every night you son of a bitch. Flair and Jarrett then proceed to beat on Hennig until Arn runs out with a tire iron to make the save.  We then go to the back where Gene Bennett is with Sting. Bennett:  Sting, tonight you take on your former leader in the Ministry The Undertaker. Sting:  I am doing this because someone needs to teach some of these guys a lesson.  I still owe him for what he did to my family and tonight I get payback.  The Dudley's have brought a new Sting forward.  Tonight Undertaker----ITS SHOWTIME!! Sting and The Undertaker picked up where their feud stopped months ago.  Early on Taker had the advantage using boots and slams to keep Sting down.  Sting however came back when Taker missed a huge elbow.  Sting went for the Stinger Splash but the Undertaker pulled the ref in the way and the ref went down.  This brought out Spike Dudley who gave Sting the Acid Drop.  The Undertaker went for the pin when Team Blood hit the ring.  They gave Taker the Spiked Nail in the Coffin.  Sting came to hit the Scorpion Death Drop for the win.  Sting pinned The Undertaker with the Scorpion Death Drop in 0:09:12. Rating: * 1/4 Madden:  Team Blood just cost the Undertaker another match.  They are digging their graves literally.  Tenay:  That feud is really picking up and Team Blood better be careful.  After the break it will be William Regal taking on Bill DeMott for a chance to face Bill and Shane at Bash at the Beach for the US Title. William Regal will be going into a three way dance for the US title at Bash at the Beach after a win over Bill DeMott.  Early on DeMott was on fire and it seemed like Regal couldn't keep up with the energy Bill had.  However the Triple Threat made their presence felt after the official went down.  C.W. Anderson hit the ring and Bill and C.W. exchanged rights and lefts.  This allowed Shane Douglas to attack from behind with his fist wrapped in a chain.  The official came to in time to see Regal hit his Cobra Neckbreaker for the win.  William Regal pinned Bill DeMott with the Cobra Neckbreaker in 0:07:13. Rating: * 1/2 Madden:  A Triple Threat match at the Bash at the Beach, and as long as that fat ass Bill DeMott doesn't win it will be great. Tenay:  Mark, why do you keep calling people fat?  Have you looked in the mirror lately?  Let's go to the back where Gene Bennett is with Big Van Vader. Gene:  Vader, tonight you have been paid to take out Ric Flair's former best friend Arn Anderson.  Vader:  Listen to me boy, tonight I do what the CEO wants of me.  Tonight I put one of the founding members of the Four Horsemen to pasture.  Gene:  You have had a change in attitude as of late Vader, what is your reason for it? Vader:  Simple boy, because I can.  Everyone else is running around in gangs so I thought I would go out and find the biggest and baddest group, are you stupid or something?  I already explained this once.  You watch what happens in the ring tonight because if you ask me another stupid question your ass is next.  Vader picked up a win over Double A, but it was a hard fought match.  Arn attacked Vader as he came to the ring to start the match.  Arn then took Vader off his feet in the ring and went to work on Vader's knee.  Vader however came back as Anderson's back went out on a bodyslam attempt.  Vader then took over.  The official went down on an attempted Vader Attack.  This brought out Rhino.  He waited until both Vader and Arn were on their feet and gored them both.  Anderson was up first and went for the Spinebuster, but his back went out again.  This allowed Vader to hit the Vader Bomb for the win.  Vader went for a second one when Rhino attacked Vader once again.  He gored him through a table before leaving. Big Van Vader pinned Arn Anderson with the Vader Bomb in 0:11:22. Rating: 1/4* Madden:  Arn Anderson is lucky that Rhino just saved his ass. Tenay:  I don't think that was the reason Rhino attacked Vader.  The reason is because he hates----oh MY GOD!!! Suddenly Vader picks up Tenay and throws him away and takes the headset. Vader:  Rhino you son of a bitch.  At Bash at the Beach it is going to be you and me one on one.  My F*CKING CAREER IS ON THE LINE YOU SON OF A BITCH!! We go to break with Tenay looking stunned and Madden looking scared to death. After the break we see Rhino in the ring waiting for Spike Dudley. Spike hit the ring and was hit with a clothesline that turned him upside down and inside out.  Rhino started putting the boots to him and Spike rolled to the floor.  Back in the ring Spike hit a low blow and took over.  Spike went for the Acid Drop but Rhino threw him off and hit the Gore.  This brought out Vader.  Vader distracted Rhino allowed Spike to hit a second low blow and then the Acid Drop for the win.
