Thunder comes on the air with footage of the brawl that took place on Nitro after the six man tag team match involving The Horsemen, Gene Bennett, Bret Hart and Big Van Vader.  We also see Ray Traylor winning the Hardcore Title with help from Chris Kanyon.  We then go to the announce table where Mark Madden is with Scott Hudson. Hudson:  Welcome to Thunder everyone.   Madden:  You are looking at the best looking big man in TV, you host, Mark Madden along with 'Hardway' Scott Hudson. Hudson:  We have an action packed show tonight going into the Great American Bash.  The Hardcore, Tag Team, TV and Cruiserweight titles are on the line.  We have a sit down interview with Jim 'The Anvil' Neidhart who has been out with an injury. Madden:  Also the Horsemen take on the Mamalukes in a warm up match.  Rhino goes Hardcore with 'The Lethal Weapon' Steve Blackman.  Arn Anderson will warm up for his TV title match as he takes on Bill DeMott as well. Hudson:  I am being told that something is going on in the back, lets go there now. We see that William Regal and Roddy Piper are fighting in the back.  Out comes Dusty Rhodes. Rhodes:  Hold it right there.  Since our CEO won't stop this kind of behavior I will.  You are both banned from the arena tonight.  Get them out of here. Hudson:  Dusty just threw William Regal and Roddy Piper out of the building! Madden:  No kidding Scott.  That fat boy shouldn't even be allowed in the building. Hudson:  Talk about the pot and the kettle.  Let's get to our first match, the Hardcore Title Rematch between former champion Shane Douglas and current champion Ray Traylor. No-Countout-No-DQ-Match: Shane Douglas pinned Ray Traylor with the Franchiser in 0:11:17. Rating: ** 1/4 (Shane Douglas won the WCW Hardcore Title.) Shane Douglas regained his title days after losing it to Traylor.  The match was back and forth early on and finally went to the back.  Once through the curtain Traylor was attacked by C.W. Anderson and Chris Candido.  Traylor however fought back after getting a hold of his nightstick during the fight.  Traylor seemed to have the match won until he was attacked by Gangrel.  Gangrel hit Traylor in the back with a chair and then gave him the Impaler DDT.  Shane Douglas recovered, hit the Franchiser and got the win and the title back.  This brought out Steve Blackman and Bill DeMott, both men are hunting that title. They proceed to attack Douglas before attacking each other.  Hudson:  This is crazy.  People are attacking people left and right.   Madden:  Crazy isn't the word for what is going on around WCW lately.  Insanity is a better word.  Hudson:  Right now we are going to a special interview Mike Tenay conducted with Jim Neidhart. Pre-taped on Wednesday. Tenay:  Jim, first off let me ask about your health. Anvil:  Mike, everything is fine now.  I have been cleared to return to action. Tenay:  Does that mean we will see you return at the Great American Bash? Anvil:  I am glad to announce yet.  I talked with Bret a few moments ago and I will be in his corner as he faces Rhino. Tenay:  You were injured several weeks backed as you teamed with Sting and Bret against the New Hart Foundation and Rhino.  Before the match you weren't happy about being in the match to begin with since you were scheduled a tag team title match.  Is there any heat between yourself and Sting now? Anvil:  After my injuries I was upset with Sting because I thought it was his fault.  But I realized that it would have happened in the match with Owen and Lance or anyone really.  I don't blame Sting for what happened, I blame that monster Rhino. Tenay:  I am sure you have been watching Nitro and Thunder in your absence, what do you think needs to be done to stop Rhino? Anvil: Basically just for someone, like Bret, to take him out.  I have known Bret for a long time and I know he will get the job done. Tenay:  One last question.  After Sunday night will you return to tag team action or does Bret plan to continue on his singles career? Anvil:  We are a team plain and simple Mike.  After Bret takes out Rhino whoever the champions are, The Horsemen or the New Hart Foundation, better be ready for a Hart Attack. Tenay:  Thank you Jim, and it will be great to have you back in WCW. Just Joe pinned Jaime Knoble with the Jumping DDT in 0:06:06. Rating: * (Just Joe retained the WCW Cruiserweight Title.) Just Joe got yet another win but this was with help from the rest of the Cruiserweights.  It seemed that Knoble was about to hit the Jumping Tombstone when he was distracted by the rest of the cruiserweights in the aisle.  This allowed Joe to hit a low blow followed by the Jumping DDT for the win.  Dusty Rhodes music then hit. Dusty:  Enough is enough.  At the Great American Bash it will be a cruiserweight battle royal with the winner facing Just Joe for the title.  Madden:  Another match for the Great American Bash has been signed, this is going to be an amazing show. Hudson:  That's for sure.  I understand that Mean Gene is with Spike Dudley. Mean:  Spike, it seems that your match with Booker T won't be the friendly one we were all looking forward to.  Spike:  Well it is all because of Booker.  I tried to be nice but he wanted to be tough. Mean:  What about the rumor that you and Booker will be facing off in a tag team match tonight? Spike:  Our CEO, in all his glory, has booked us against in other.  But we have to find our own partners. Mean:  Well allow me to offer you the services of the Big Show if you would like---for a small fee of course. Spike:  Let's talk business. Madden:  Great, now Mean Gene is Paul Wight's pimp.  After the break it will be the Triple Threat against Owen Hart and Lance Storm, the New Hart Foundation. The New Hart Foundation defeated The Triple Threat (C.W. Anderson and Chris Candido) when L. Storm pinned C.W. Anderson after a Northern Lights suplex in 0:07:55. Rating: ** 3/4 (The New Hart Foundation retained the WCW Tag Team Titles.) This match wasn't as good as people expected.  Little Guido and Tony Mamaluke distracted C.W. and Chris most of the match.  It has been signed that it will be C.W. against Little Guido at the Great American Bash and both Mamaluke and Candido are in the cruiserweight battle royal.  The end came when Guido tried to trip C.W.  C.W. turned right into a boot from Owen, which he caught, but Owen countered into an Enziguri.  C.W. then stumbled into Storm who hit a Northern Light's Suplex for the win.  Madden:  Another great win for the greatest team in WCW history. Hudson:  Mark, I am surprised you didn't try to tell us you were Canadian again. Madden:  Well I am a Canadian Hudson.   Hudson:  I didn't know Pittsburgh was in Canada.  When we come back the Horsemen have a warm up match. Curt Hennig and Jeff Jarrett defeated The Mamalukes when Jarrett pinned Johnny the Bull with the Stroke in 0:06:24. Rating: * The Mamalukes, off a good showing a few weeks back in the four corners match got a shot at the Horsemen.  Early on the Mamalukes looked good with quick tags.  The end came when Hennig used Jarrett's guitar and hit JTB in the back setting up the Stroke for the win.  After the match Owen Hart and Lance Storm hit the ring with chairs.  The both knocked the Horsemen down and locked in their respective submission moves.  Madden:  I don't know who to cheer for.  Both teams are great.   Hudson:  How about trying to be objective for once huh? Madden:  Baldie, keep getting mouthing and you will find out just how objective I can be. Hudson:  Whatever.  After the break it will be Lash LeRoux and Brian Christopher in cruiserweight action.  Lash LeRoux pinned Brian Christopher with the Whiplash 2000 in 0:03:45. Rating: * 1/4 This was a short match with Lash looking on top of his game.  Both Scott Taylor and Bill DeMott came to the ring with Lash.  Brian missed the Tennessee Jam which set up the Whiplash 2000 for the win. Madden:  Both of those men will be in the cruiserweight battle royal Scott along with Scotty Taylor.  Not to mention Jaime Knoble, Chris Candido and Tony Mamaluke. Hudson:  That match will be great and then the winner goes against Just Joe.  Let's go to the back where I understand someone is arriving. Madden:  That is Booker T's car. We see Booker get out of his car and is approached by Vampiro. Vamp:  Listen Booker, tonight we are teaming up. Booker:  What are you talking about?  I already got a teammate lined up. Vamp:  Spike went and got the man I want a piece of in the Big Show.  I can't wait till the Great American Bash.  I already told Flair we were teaming so its official.  Booker:  Great, just great.   The passenger door opens and Scott Steiner gets out. Booker:  Looks like you have the night off.   Steiner:  The Big Bad Booty Daddy never has the night off.   We see several beautiful women in the back seat.   Steiner:  Come on ladies, let the Big Bad Booty Daddy will take you to the mountain top. Booker:  Let's get inside. Hudson:  Vampiro and Booker T against Spike Dudley and the Big Show tonight in the main event!  What a show. No-Countout-No-DQ-Falls-Count-Anywhere Match: Rhino made Steve Blackman submit to the Rhino Recliner in 0:05:53. Rating: ** 1/4 Rhino came out flanked by the Horsemen.  Steve Blackman came out armed with his usually weapons, the Kendo Sticks.  This match was actually kind of competitive with Blackman using his hardcore skills to keep up with the Man Beast.  He even fought of the Horsemen at one point.  The end came when Blackman threw a trashcan at Rhino, who caught it and threw it back.  As Blackman caught it Rhino gored him.  He then locked in the Rhino Recliner for the win.  Rhino refused to release the hold which brought out Bret Hart, Big Van Vader and Bill DeMott.  They quickly cleared the ring. Flair:  Hart, Vader, you two are best friends now huh?  Well lets see how friendly you are after you fight tonight, in that very ring.  WHOO!  And DeMott, after the Enforcer gets done with you, you will wish you never messed with us!  WHOO! Madden:  Vader and Hart has been added to tonight?  That will really wear them down for Sunday night.  Hudson:  And with Vader and Flair going one on one it doesn't surprise me that he made that match. Madden:  When was that signed?  I hadn't heard that. Hudson:  I was told right before the show came on to make the announcement sometime and now is as good as any. Madden:  Up next Disqo takes on Gangrel.  How can they have the CEO face Vader? Disqo pinned Gangrel with the Last Dance in 0:07:32. Rating: * 1/4 (Disqo retained the WCW TV Title.) Disqo picked up the win thanks to Ray Traylor.  This match was evenly contended and at one pointed it looked like Gangrel would become the new TV Champion when Traylor interfered hitting Gangrel with the nightstick setting up the Last Dance and the win.  This brought out Arn Anderson who attacked Disqo.  He gave Disqo a DDT, working on Disqo's concussion.  He was setting up for a second one when Bill DeMott hit the ring.  That started our next match. Arn Anderson pinned Bill DeMott with the Spinebuster in 0:05:29. Rating: ** 1/4 Arn Anderson and Bill DeMott had a very hardhitting match.  It was back and forth.  During the match Disqo recovered on the outside and tired to help DeMott only he screwed up.  When he tried to trip Arn it was DeMott he tripped.  Moments later Arn hit the Spinebuster and got the win. Madden:  Disqo screwed up again.  He is the biggest loser in WCW history. Hudson:  What about you Mark?  Your record is zero and one, with that one loss coming to Mean Gene.  Madden:  Keep getting mouthy and it will be one and one after I beat your damn ass in the ring. Hudson:  Don't start Mark.  Let's go to Gene Bennett who is with Vader and Bret. Bennett:  First off I want to thank you guys for watching my back monday.  Now it seems that I have brought you into my war against Ric Flair.  Hart:  Gene, he brought us in himself.  He hasn't done anything to stop guys like Rhino and has probably encouraged it.  He makes me sick not only as a wrestler but as a human being. Vader:  He uses people and tonight he is using us to get hurt each other.  Will it happen?  Probably.  Because we are professionals.  We know those fans came to see a show and we are going to give them one. Hart:  After the match we will still be friends but in the ring it is nothing personal.  Vader and Hart shake hands before leaving. Bennett:  After the break those two men square off. Big Van Vader pinned Bret Hart with the Vader Bomb in 0:05:12. Rating: ** Big Van Vader picked up a big win here with help from Rhino.  The match was going great until the official, Mickey Jay, got sandwiched in the corner by Vader when he was going for a Vader Attack in the corner.  This brought out Rhino.  While Vader checked on Mickey Rhino gored Hart and left him laying.  Vader drug Hart over and gave him the Vader Bomb for the win.  After the match Gene Bennett came out and explained what happened to Vader.  Vader helped Hart to his feet and shook his hand.  Bret, Gene and Vader all left the ring together. Madden:  Like Vader didn't see the Rhino attack.  I think Vader is setting up Bennett and Hart myself. Hudson:  Don't be stupid Mark.  Vader couldn't have seen Rhino.  Quit trying to stir the pot. Madden:  Baldie, you are really getting on my nerves tonight. Hudson:  I wish I had Tank's number, he could shut your fat ass up again.  After the break is the main event tag team match. Madden:  Don't even talk about Tank Abbott baldie. Spike Dudley and Paul Wight defeated Booker T and Vampiro when Spike Dudley pinned Booker T with the Acid Drop in 0:08:08. Rating: ** 1/4 Spike Dudley and The Big Show got a win here but it wasn't without some help.  During the match Booker and Vamp didn't work well and it cost them the advantage several times.  Show and Dudley did have some team work even though several times Show wouldn't tag Spike and often mocked him about his size during the match.  Finally Booker and vamp took over.  Booker hit Show with the Book End while Vamp hit the Nail in the Coffin on Spike.  As the official Charles Robinson was counting the three count a masked man pulled him out and gave him a right hand knocking him out.  The masked man then grabbed a chair.  Vamp turned right into a chair shot.  Booker didn't know what was going on and took several across the back. Spike recovered and hit the Acid Drop.  The masked man then put the official back in the ring who made a slow three count while Show gave Vamp the Showstopper. Madden:  Who was that masked man?   Hudson:  Booker has been screwed and it makes me sick.  You have to think that Ric Flair is behind this.  Madden:  Why?  I didn't see the Horsemen or anyone else out.   Hudson:  Flair knows what is going on in this company.   Madden:  Well until you prove that to me you better watch your mouth. Hudson:  For Mean Gene, Gene Bennett and Mark Madden, I am Scott Hudson, see you at the Great American Bash!
