Nitro comes on the air with footage of Rhino and Vader destroying the champion Booker T and challenger Sting. We then go to the announce table where Scott Hudson is with Gene Bennett. Hudson: What a night we have planned for Nitro. Two hardcore matches, the Hardcore, the TV and US titles are on the line. Plus a four corners match for a title shot at The New Hart Foundation and the tag team titles at the Great American Bash. Bennett: Not only that but Jaime Knoble and Chris Candido face off. But here is some footage that I thought everyone would like to see. Roll the footage. We go back to Thunder and see the CEO's office. In walks Vader and Rhino. Flair: Great, Arn found you. Tonight there is a main event and frankly I don't like either man. I want those two taken out and this should cover it. Flair pushes envelopes to both men. The look at them and shake their head. Then they leave. We then return to Nitro. Bennett: That is what our CEO is doing. He is hiring people to take out other people. The Horsemen music plays as Flair storms toward the announce table. Flair: Bennett I have had just about enough of you and your accusations. That was a doctored tape damn it. I never did that. Why I was going to suspend Rhino and Vader for their actions but now I am not. Bennett: Don't give me your bullsh!t Ric. Everyone knows that the Nature Boy is out for one person and that is himself. You want Booker wore down for something. Probably planning a title shot for yourself sometime. But lets face it Ric, your old ass couldn't beat a man like Booker T on your best day. Flair decks Bennett with that comment. Flair pulls Gene out from behind the booth and throws him into the ring. Flair rips Gene's shirt open and backs him into the corner where he chops away like only Ric can. From the back out came Roddy Piper. Piper spun Flair around and the two exchanged punches and chops. This brought out the rest of the Horsemen who attacked Piper. Gene tried to help but the numbers were too much. The lights suddenly started flashing and thunder crashed as Sting and Booker T hit the ring evening the odds a little. This brought out Flair's other friends William Regal, Big Van Vader and Rhino. Finally Bill DeMott, Bret Hart and Scott Steiner, all armed with chairs, cleared the ring. Hudson: This is carnage. We have bodies all over the place. Let's go to break and hopefully we can clear this situation up a little. After the break we see that the commissioner has entered the ring. Dusty: This has to stop. Tonight we are going to have a six man tag match between Rhino, Big Van Vader and our CEO Ric Flair taking on Sting, the World Champion Booker T and Bret Hart. Also I am going to book you Roddy Piper against Arn Anderson. Now Gene, you have to learn to keep your cool out here. If you continue to get involved I will have no choice but to remove you from the booth. Bennett: Well I am not going to sit back and let this crap continue Dream. Dusty: I understand but you have to stop getting involved. Why don't we all head to the back. Gene you go back to the table and be the professional I know you are and Bill, good luck against Gangrel. We then go to the back where The Horsemen and friends are watching the monitor. Flair: William, I want to thank you for your assistant. As a reward you will be facing the TV Champion Disqo for that title. Regal: Thank you Mr. Flair. It will be an honor to take that title off that miserable little toe rag who has no business holding a title that legends like myself and Mr. Anderson here has held. Flair: William, I have a feeling you will be getting that title tonight. We then go to the ring where Gangrel and Bill DeMott are locking up in our opening match.
No-Countout-No-DQ-Falls-Count-Anywhere Match: This hardcore match stayed in the ring for the most part. The weapons were brought in however. DeMott used a trashcan aided No Laughing Matter moonsault for the win. After the match the lights went out and when they came back up DeMott had received a blood bath. Hudson: It seems like everyone that meets Gangrel receives one of those blood baths. Bennett: That is Gangrel way of getting inside someone's head and it usually works. It did get him the Hardcore title briefly and probably against soon. Hudson: Let's go to the back where Mean Gene is with the TV Champion Disqo. Mean: Disqo, after the break you will be defending your TV title against Ric Flair's newest buddy Wil---I mean Lord William Regal. Disqo: Well the Re-Enforcer doesn't care who I face. Double G doesn't lay down for anyone Gene. Tonight I take out another so called legend. Tonight the Re-Enforcer shows why he is the TV Champion! Mean: Re-Enforcer???
Disqo pinned William Regal with the Last Dance in 0:07:56. This match was another great from William Regal. Regal seems to have a great match with everyone he faces. The match was back and forth. During the match Roddy Piper showed up and tried to interfere only to be held back by security and the official. Regal turned around right into a boot to the midsection and the Last Dance for the win. After the match Disqo took the mic. Disqo: Now I know everyone here came to see the Re-Enforcer dance SO HIT MY MUSIC! It wasn't Disqo's music that started however, it was the Horsemen's. Arn: I let it slide last week boy but not this week. You want to walk around calling yourself the Re-Enforcer and Double G and all this other crap? Well I am the only Enforcer in this business. You are wearing a title that I made famous. Disqo: That was what, twenty years ago. The only reason these fans know you is because you have been forced down their throats. You have never been anything more then a flunky for Ric Flair. Arn: A flunky? As a flunky I won the tag team titles on numerous times with numerous partners. As a flunky I won that title several times. I thrived in the WWF without Ric. I thrived in WCW without Ric. The thing is Ric is my best friend. I have and always will give everything I have for Ric. But this time it isn't about Ric it is about me. Disqo: Does this have a point Arn? The fans are getting bored and want to see the Re-Enforcer dance. Arn: You were talking about respect a few weeks ago and now you are back to dancing like a jackass. Well I have respect because I do one thing, and that is wrestle. How about we wrestling at the Great American Bash? Disqo: As the Re-Enforcer I back down from no one, so you got it old man. Now hit my music. Disqo's music plays as he dances us to break.
Chris Candido pinned Jaime Knoble with the Flying
Headbutt in 0:11:51. Chris Candido was flanked by Tammy and C.W. Anderson. Meanwhile Jaime Knoble came out alone. This match was back and forth. However during the match out came the new team of Scott Taylor and Lash LeRoux to watch. Both men are looking to possibly become cruiserweight champions. In the ring Knoble was having a good showing. Knoble hit a flying legdrop but Tammy distracted the ref. We again look at the entrance way and see that Brian Christopher has come out to watch the match along with Just Joe the current champion. The end came with Knoble went for the Tombstone but Candido countered into a sitdown piledriver. He then hit his Flying Headbutt for the win. We see in a split screen that Tony Mamaluke was watching in the back with the rest of the FBI. Bennett: It looks like every cruiserweight in WCW was watching. The thing is any one of those men could be the champ on any given day. This is the best division we have in WCW right now I think. Hudson: It is the most unpredictable as well. Who would have thought Just Joe would be wearing the title? We go to the back where Owen Hart and Lance Storm are talking to the Mamalukes. Owen: Listen guys, we have this big four corners match planned and we think you deserve to be in it. Lance: You guys are possibly the second greatest team in WCW, behind us. Owen: So you will be one of the four teams along with Jarrett and Hennig and that team of misfits Lash LeRoux and Scott Taylor. Little Guido and Tony Mamaluke come out of the locker room. Guido: Hold it right there. Why are they in it and we aren't. Owen and Lance look around and notice they are surrounded by the FBI. Owen: Well that is because---um---tell them Lance. Lance: Well that is easy, it is because---well you say it better Owen. Owen: We are going to give you two a shot at the titles on Thunder that's why. Guido: Well shine those belts up for us because they are coming to us. The FBI leave and we fade to black with Storm questioning Owen about giving them a title shot. After the break we see the ring announce Pamela Paulshock. She is telling the audience that merchandise is available in the lobby when from under the ring comes Kanyon. He spins Pamela around and gives her the Kanyon Cutter. Hudson: MY GOD! That is sick. How can he do that to a woman? Bennett: Wait a minute, here comes the number one contender Spike Dudley. Dudley hit the ring but Kanyon meet him. He tried to clothesline Dudley but he ducked and kicked Kanyon in the midsection. He went for the Acid Drop but Kanyon countered by throwing Dudley off into the ring. Official Mark Johnson hits the ring and we have another match.
Spike Dudley pinned Kanyon with the Acid Drop in 0:13:11. This was a spectacular match between two superstars. Early on Kanyon dominated after Spike missed the Acid Drop. Kanyon hit a slingshot Rocker Dropper and the Flatliner but Spike wouldn't quit. Kanyon went for his top rope piledriver but Spike countered into a midair Frankensteiner. Spike then hit a flying lariat followed by the Acid Drop for the win. After the match Mark Johnson was checking on Kanyon but he suffered a Kanyon Cutter for his troubles. Hudson: That man is crazy. First Pam and now Mark Johnson and there is no reason to the attacks, it is as bad as Rhino. Bennett: The thing is I think that Rhino's attacks did have a reason, and that reason is Flair. Tonight he will get his though. Hudson: Let's go to the back where Mean Gene is with Vampiro. Mean: Vampiro, you recently impressed the WCW Championship committee with your match against Disqo so you are now getting a shot at Scott Steiner and the US title. Vamp: Can you feel it? Can you feel the return? He is coming Gene. He is coming back for your soul and the souls of WCW. Mean: Vampiro, we all know you are talking about the Undertaker so spill the beans. Vamp: Don't speak that name around me. Do you understand me! From behind comes the Big Show who picks up Vamp and puts him down between Gene and himself. Show: Hold it right there freak. I am tired of watching guys bully this man around. You want to bully someone bully me. Vamp: Oh you have made a big mistake, bigger then you know. Mean: This might be the best money I have ever spent. We go to break with Big Show and Mean Gene shaking hands.
No-Countout-No-DQ-Falls-Count-Anywhere Match: Ray Traylor picked up a big win in the second of three hardcore matches tonight. C.W. just wasn't on his game and Traylor took advantage. As Traylor was going for his Sideslam Chris Candido attacked him. During this Chris Kanyon entered the ring and gave C.W. the Kanyon Cutter. Traylor finally throw Candido out of the ring. He turned around and found C.W. knocked out and made the cover for the win. He then gook the mic. Traylor: Shane Douglas, you have my belt boy. On Thunder get ready to know what HARDTIME IS ALL ABOUT! Suddenly the arena starts to flash red. When the lights come back on Ray Traylor has become a victim of yet another blood bath. Traylor: Gangrel, you son of a bitch, we aren't done yet. Traylor then throws the mic down and storms to the back. Bennett: This is crazy tonight. We have blood baths, body guards, my without a shirt, titles on the line, matches made for the Great American Bash and still more. Hudson: I could do without your being shirtless but besides that everything is fine. Bennett: Could be worse, Madden could be shirtless like that time Tank Abbott beat him up. Hudson: Don't remind me. Anyway, after the break it will be Scott Steiner and Vampiro for the US Title.
Scott Steiner made Vampiro submit to the Steiner
Recliner in 0:04:49. Steiner completely dominated Vampiro until he is distracted by the Horsemen on the rampway. This allows Vamp to take over. Vamp hits a missile dropkick which sent the Steiner into the ref. From the back out came The Big Show. Vamp turns right into the Showstopper. Steiner quickly locks in the Steiner Recliner and the dazed Mickey Jay calls for the bell. Bennett: Looks like Mean Gene got his money worth. Wonder if our great CEO will do anything about that? Hudson: Better give it a rest Gene or Dusty might come out here and take you out of the booth. Bennett: Whatever, up next Arn Anderson and Roddy Piper. After the break we see Arn Anderson come out with William Regal. Regal: Hello all my American friends. It is an honor to be back out here once again. Now I am sure you are all wondering why I am back out here. Well our boss Mr. Flair wanted to make sure this match had an unbiased official so he assigned me. So Mr. Piper, please come out here so this match can begin.
Special Ref: William Regal This match was basically what people expected, a handicap match. Both men double teamed Piper before Arn finally finished him off with the Spinebuster. They continued to beat on Piper. Bennett: That's it, I can't take it anymore. Hudson: Don't do it Gene, you will lose your announcing job. Suddenly from the back out came Disqo for the save. Piper and Disqo then fought back and cleared the ring. Bennett: I can't take much more Scott. Hudson: Let's go to Mean Gene so Gene here can calm down. Mean: Shane Douglas, Ray Traylor laid down a challenge earlier. Douglas: No kidding Gene. Did he really? Do you think that the Franchise is an idiot? I know that fat hick from Cobb County challenged me and he has his match. I am not backing down from anyone, but I already have a match against that fat bastard Bill DeMott. So on Nitro next week I will take out Traylor just like everyone else. I know Hardcore, I made Hardcore famous after all. That's a fact Jackass!
No-Countout-No-DQ-Falls-Count-Anywhere Match: In what might be the best match of the night and the best of the Hardcore division Shane Douglas retained his title. This was with the help of the Triple Threat of course. Hardcore rules give them a legal way of interfering. Blackman held his own but the numbers were too much. Douglas finally hit the Franchiser for the win. Bennett: The Triple Threat is going to take over that division I think. They are a well oiled machine that might keep that title until he moves on. Hudson: You might be right Gene. Lets go to the back where Mean Gene is with Sting, Booker T and Bret Hart. Mean: Guys, tonight you three team up against men you don't really care for. Sting: That is putting it mildly. For years I have had to put up with Ric Flair. He has stabbed me in the back so many times it makes me sick. Tonight I end it between us. Hart: Gene, my Rhino hunt could end tonight. Rhino, if I lock in the Sharpshooter tonight I will not release it. Booker: Ric Flair, you want to pay people to beat me up. All you have to do is ask for a title shot and I will give it to you and any of those Horsemen you run with. Mean: Tonight you are have been brought together by hatred but they are together because of money, which bond will be stronger? Booker: It doesn't matter Gene because we are the better group. Tonight they are going down. Mean: Up next a huge six man tag match.
Sting, Bret Hart and Booker T defeated Rhino, Big Van
Vader and Ric Flair when Booker T pinned Vader with the Book End in 0:13:05. This match was a brawl plain and simple. About ten minutes in Charles Robinson went down which was the opening the Horsemen were looking from. Arn Anderson, Curt Hennig, Jeff Jarrett and William Regal all hit the ring. This of course brought out Roddy Piper. The brawl continued until it was just Vader and Booker in the ring. 'Highway to Hell' played as Spike Dudley charged the ring. Vader had Booker set up for the powerbomb when Dudley grabbed him and gave him the Acid Drop. Spike then ran and did a plancha onto almost everyone on the floor. Booker then hit the Book End on Vader for the win. Bennett: OH MY GOD! I think Spike killed himself with that suicide dive. Hudson: What was he thinking? He has just made a mortal enemy of Vader and the Horsemen. Bennett: Not only that but Booker doesn't look happy in the ring either. Hudson: They are still fighting in the aisle, lets go to break and see if security can break it up. After the break we see Mean Gene with Spike Dudley. Mean: Spike, tonight you beat Chris Kanyon and made the save for you opponent at the Great American Bash Booker T. Do you realize in saving Booker you most likely pissed off the boss Ric Flair? Spike: Gene, I don't really care. I did what I did because it was right. Booker T suddenly barges in. Booker: What in the hell were you doing? I never asked for you help. Spike: Hold it right there. I didn't do it for you. I did it because it was right. Booker: Well you better just stay out of my damn business. Spike: Well at the Great American Bash I am going to be all up in your business. Booker: We don't have to wait you know. We can do it right here right now. Mean: Hold it, security! Security separates the two. Bennett: Booker T is yelling at the man that just saved his ass! What is going on around here? There must be something in the water. Hudson: Well up next the Horsemen might be in hot water as they face three other teams for a shot at the champions.
Four Corners Match: This was a great four corners match and that the Mamalukes really shined in. Danny Doring and Roadkill fresh off a tour of Japan returned to what they hoped would be a win but feel short when Vito hit a frog splash to eliminate them. The Mamalukes continued when they eliminated the team of Scott Taylor and Lash LeRoux. LeRoux was celebrating when Vito hit a spinning DDT followed JTB's Spinning Legdrop for the elimination. This left the Mamalukes and the Horsemen who had stayed out of the ring until now. Arn Anderson, who was at ringside, distracted the ref which allowed both Jarrett and Hennig to hit the Mamalukes with guitars setting up the victory and the win. Bennett: The Horsemen just cheated their way to a title shot at the pay per view Scott. I hate that group more and more every day. Hudson: For an upset Gene Bennett and Mean Gene, I am Scott Hudson, see you on Thunder. |
