Thunder comes on the air and we go to the announce table. Hudson: Welcome to Thunder everyone. I am here with Mark Madden and we have a loaded show three days before Slamboree. Madden: We sure do Baldie. We will find out who faces the Cruiserweight and Tag team champions tonight. Also we have a big six-man tag team war. Hudson: Lets go to the ring where it will be a four-way dance for a shot at the cruiserweight title.
No-Countout-No-DQ-4-Man Battle Royal: Just Joe picked up his biggest win yet. As Joe came to the ring Knoble hit him with his Jumping Tombstone basically knocking him out. This was before the rest of the men hit the ring. Finally all four were in. Knoble was showing signs of his match with Rhino on Nitro and it didn't take Lash long to get the win. With Tammy's help Candido got rid of Lash. This left Just Joe and Candido. Arn Anderson came out from the back and hit Candido with a tire iron that sent him right into a school boy and the win for Just Joe. Madden: JOE WINS, JOE WINS, JOE WINS!! Hudson: I don't believe it, Just Joe goes into Slamboree with a title shot. Madden: Wait a second here comes the FBI. Little Guido hits the Kiss of Death on Just Joe and Tony Mamaluke hits the Guillotine Legdrop. Hudson: That isn't right Mark. Madden: That is why Tony Mamaluke is the champion right there. Up next Steve Blackman and Brian Christopher face Danny Doring and Roadkill for a shot at The New Hart Foundation on Slamboree.
Steve Blackman and Brian Christopher and Danny Doring and Roadkill
battled to a double countout in 0:08:30. In a match that was suppose to decide the number one contender, it ended up only confusing things. Both teams were fighting on the floor when Owen Hart and Lance Storm attacked them causing a double countout. Owen and Lance were destroying the teams with chairs when the Hart Foundation ran out for the save. While the three teams were challenging Owen and Lance to return to the ring Ric Flair came out. Flair: This tag team match was suppose to find out who would be challenging for the tag team titles. Well it did. Owen Hart and Lance Storm, you will be defending against those three teams in the ring now. This will be an elimination match. We go to break with Owen and Lance yelling at Ric. After the break we see Gene Bennett with Ric Flair. Bennett: Mr. Flair, on Monday it was announced that two legends would be returning to the ring at Slamboree. Flair: Two legends? Well you can't be talking about Dusty Rhodes and Harley Race. They weren't good in their prime so they have to suck now. I would like to know who it is that authorized this. Bennett: I don't know. An official WCW Announcement was delivered to the table during Nitro. All it said was to announce the table. Flair: Well whoever wants to make these matches can. However I am adding a special feature to the match. I will be the ref so at least one legend will be in the match. WHOO! Bennett: There you are folks, another big announcement for Slamboree. C.W. Anderson is in the ring awaiting Disqo.
Disqo pinned C.W. Anderson with the Last Dance in 0:07:12. Disqo took on one third of the Triple Threat in C.W. Anderson. It wasn't much of a match as C.W. was out to injury Disqo before his match with Shane Douglas at Slamboree. Disqo hit the Last Dance and got the win. This brought out Shane Douglas and Chris Candido. They triple teamed Disqo until Disqo's team mates from last Thunder made the save. Neidhart: You think you are tough Shane? Why don't you show me how tough you are later tonight. Douglas: You got it. Just be prepared to get your ass Franchised. THAT'S A FACT, THAT'S A FACT, THAT'S A FACT---JACKASS!! Hudson: Sounds like we have a TV Title match. Madden: Well that psycho Jim Neidhart bit off more then he can chew when he messed with Shane Douglas, and that's a fact, that's a fact, tha--- Hudson: We just heard that. After the break it will be Jeff Jarrett and Little Guido taking on Bill DeMott and Curt Hennig.
Jeff Jarrett and Little Guido Maritato defeated Bill DeMott and Curt
Hennig when Jarrett pinned DeMott with the Stroke in 0:10:30. This was a back and forth match. Hennig and Jarrett never got their hands on each other. Every time Curt got in the ring Jarrett would tag out. The end came when DeMott missed the No Laughing Matter setting up the Stroke and the win. Madden: They don't get any better the Guido and Jarrett. Hudson: DeMott looks hurt and his partner is helping him up, wait look at what Jeff is doing. Jarrett re-enters the ring, guitar in hand, and hits Hennig from behind with it. Madden: AIN'T HE GREAT!!! Hudson: I don't think he uses that line anymore Mark. The trainer is checking on both men, lets take a break. After the break we see footage of the brawls between Rhino, Gangrel, Mortis, Sting, Roddy Piper, Ray Traylor and Vampiro. We then go to the ring where a six man tag match is getting ready to take place.
Match with Special Referee Roddy Piper This match had no order and Roddy Piper sat on the corner until a cover was made. Traylor and Mortis fought on the outside while the other four men were in the ring. Rhino gored Sting into the corner where Roddy was. Piper then got into Rhino's face who responded by punching Piper in the face. Rhino turned and prepared to gore Sting a second time when Piper locked in his Sleeper hold. Rhino struggled while Sting recovered. Finally Rhino got Piper off by backing into the corner. Rhino prepared to gore Piper when Sting hit the Scorpion Death Drop. He made the cover and Piper made a quick three count. While Piper held Sting's hands up Vampiro hit both men in the back with a chair. Rhino pulled Sting to the apron and gave him a piledriver through a table while Vampiro hit Piper with the Nail in the coffin. Madden: OH MY GOD! STING IS DEAD! Hudson: Sting isn't moving one bit. Look in the ring, Vampiro has a can of gas and is covering Roddy with gas! Is that a lighter!! In the ring Vampiro is trying to get the lighter lit when Mortis spins him around and hits the Flatliner. Meanwhile Ray Traylor and Gangrel are in the back fighting. Hudson: Here come the EMT's for Sting. Madden: Not if Rhino has anything to say about it. Rhino gores two EMT's as the attend to Sting. Finally Scott Steiner comes out and Rhino backs off. Steiner tries to help Sting onto the stretcher when Rhino gores him. He sets up a second table and Steiner then takes a piledriver from the apron through a table. Hudson: This is chaos. Wait a second, he is looking over here, stay away from here, sta- Rhino pulls Scott Hudson from the announce table and throws him into the ring. Hudson begs off trying not to get injured. From the back out comes Gene Bennett with a chair. Rhino dares Gene to hit him, which he does. Rhino just laughs. Gene hits him several more times which is only meet with laughs. Rhino then kicks Gene in the gut and gores him. Scott Hudson tries to leave the ring but gets picked up by Rhino and slammed to the mat. He then locks in the Rhino Recliner. Security and finally police pull him off. We go to break with EMT's checking on Sting, Scott Steiner, Scott Hudson and Gene Bennett. After the break we see Sting, Gene and Scott being loaded into an ambulance. Back at ringside Mike Tenay has joined Mark Madden. Madden: Folks we have just seen one of the wildest scenes in WCW history. Mike Tenay now joins me here at ringside. Tenay: I hope it is safe out here. We have two announcers down and maybe two to go. Madden: What I want to know is why wasn't Scott Steiner taken out like everyone else? William Regal's music plays as he heads toward the ring. Tenay: I think we are about to find out. Regal: Hello all my American friends. Now what we have just seen is just despicable. However I couldn't allow all my friends out there to be denied at seeing one of their favorite superstars, Scott Steiner, in action. And here comes his opponent now. 'WELL IT'S THE BIG SHOW' Tenay: The Big Show Paul Wight is the opponent? Scott Steiner is barely on his feet? Madden: Well he better hurry because the big show has hit the ring.
Paul Wight pinned Scott Steiner after a top rope legdrop in 0:04:29. Paul Wight made short work of a hurt and weakened Scott Steiner. Paul Wight gave Steiner the Showstopper followed by a huge top rope legdrop for the win. After the match William Regal hit the ring and locked in the Regal Stretch. He finally released the hold and took the mic. Regal: Listen here sunshine. Come Slamboree I am going to kick your miserable ass. Tenay: This place is in complete chaos. Where is the damn CEO when you need him? Madden: Up next it will be Jim Neidhart and Shane Douglas.
Shane Douglas pinned Jim Neidhart with the Franchiser in 0:03:10. Shane Douglas got a quick win after C.W. Anderson interfered. As they double teamed Shane Arn Anderson came out for the save. Arn: C.W., you talk about being an Anderson right? Well an Anderson never backs down from a fight. So how about we face off at Slamboree to find out who is the best Anderson around? C.W.: Old man, you got it. Just don't cry and whine when I do what an ANDERSON does best, by HURTING YOU! Tenay: Yet another match signed for Slamboree. This is going to be a great pay per view. Madden: We have more action after this break. After the break we see William Regal once again heading to the ring. Regal: Hello once again all my American friends. I am out here because you need to see a great main event. So I am challenging any of those so called superstars in the back to a match. The Hart Foundation music plays as Bret Hart comes out. Hart: William, I know just like everyone else knows that you are the one who had Rhino attack Scott Steiner. So I am going to come down there and excellently execute your English ass.
Non-Title-Match: In what was another in a long line of top notch matches from Regal and Hart both, they tore it down once again. It was an excellent wrestling match that was back and forth. The end came when Regal missed a dropkick, which set up the Sharpshooter and the win from Bret. We see that the New Hart Foundation had come out on the ramp during the match. We go off the air with Bret inviting them to come to the ring. |
