Thunder comes on the air and we go straight to the back where Lash LeRoux and Bill DeMott are arriving.

DeMott:  Listen Lash, until Slamboree we have to be ready for anything.

They continue to talk as they cross the lot when we hear tires squeal.  We see a limo barely miss hitting them.

DeMott:  Watch it would you.

From the limo out steps the CEO Ric Flair, Arn Anderson and Jeff Jarrett.

Jarrett:  Don't you know who you are talking to?  You best watch your mouth.

DeMott:  Yeah whatever suck up.

DeMott and LeRoux continue walking when they are attacked from behind by Jarrett and Anderson.  They put the boots to them before Flair stops them and they continue into the building.  We go straight to the ring where Danny Doring and Roadkill are taking on Steve Blackman and Brian Christopher.

Danny Doring and Roadkill defeated Steve Blackman and Brian Christopher when Doring pinned Blackman after the Buggy Bag in 0:02:36.
Rating: * 1/4

This match was short as Blackman missed a kendo stick shot and hit Brian Christopher.  This set up the Buggy Bag and the win for Doring and Roadkill.  From the back out came the tag team champions.  Storm clipped Roadkill's leg while Owen hit Doring with an Enziguri.  Owen then hit a spinning back heel kick on Blackman sending him out of the ring.  Lance Storm then locked in the Maple Leaf on Brian Christopher.  Owen meanwhile locked Roadkill into the Sharpshooter.  Doring and Blackman then saved their respective partners.  The trainer ran to the ring as we go break.

After the break we go to the announce table where Scott Hudson is with Mark Madden.

Hudson:  The tag team champions seem set to destroy the competition and they are doing a good job of it.  I am getting word that both Brian and Roadkill are being taken to the hospital.

Madden:  Well they are two of the smartest men in sports entertainment.  They won't ever have to defend those titles.

Hudson:  Well I can almost promise you they will at Slamboree.  Lets go to the ring where Gangrel will take on Roddy Piper.

Gangrel pinned Roddy Piper with the Impaler in 0:05:11.
Rating: 3/4*

Gangrel defeated Roddy Piper with his Impaler DDT in a match that had nothing special in it.  After the match Ray Traylor hit the ring and knocked both men out with his nightstick.  He then grabbed the mic.

Traylor:  You gothic bastard.  I have been busting the chops of punks like you for years.  You see this?

Traylor holds up a title belt that doesn't look familiar.

Traylor:  This is the WCW Hardcore title which makes me the most Hardcore wrestler around.  I am laying out an open challenge to anyone in the back that wants a shot at this title.

Paul Wight comes out on the ramp and we see him storm the ring.

No-Countout-No-DQ-Match:
Ray Traylor pinned Paul Wight after a splash in 0:08:56.
Rating: -1/2*
(Ray Traylor retained the WCW Hardcore Title)

The match was just garbage wrestling using chairs and trashcans and stuff.  After the Showstopper Paul Wight took the mic.

Wight:  NO ONE CAN BEAT THE GIANT!  NO ONE!

Suddenly 'Highway to Hell' plays as Spike Dudley charges the ring.  Wight tries to kick Spike but he ducks and hits a low blow.  Spike then gives Wight a low blow followed by the Acid Drop.  This allowed Traylor to recover and hit a splash for the win.  We then go to the back and Ric Flair's office.

Flair:  Listen up, I think we can do each other favors.  Tonight Arn and I are going to be taking on DeMott and LeRoux.  We can take them out if you do us a favor.

The camera now turns and we see the FBI.

Guido:  Like what boss?

Flair:  Well I am sure you know I have a problem with Scott Steiner.  You just happen to have some muscle in the Mamalukes.  Tonight if they take out Scott Steiner Arn and Jeff might ruff up Bill and Lash a little more then usual.

Guido:  We can do that for you boss.

We go to break with Guido and Flair shaking hands.

Just Joe defeated Scott Taylor by countout in 0:03:52.
Rating: * 1/4

Just Joe returned to action and got a huge upset win as he got a win over Scott Taylor.  Joe got a countout win when he hit Taylor with a DDT on the floor and Taylor got counted out.  We then go to the back where Sting is talking with Mortis.

Sting:  I don't know if you can here me under that mask Chris, but tonight we are going to have to be on the same page.  After this match we can return to being enemies if you want.  But it will be showtime out there.

Mortis turns and looks at Sting.  He shakes he head yes and they walk toward the ring.

Rhino and Vampiro defeated Sting and Mortis when Rhino made Mortis submit to the Rhino Recliner in 0:13:23.
Rating: *** 1/2

This match was a great tag team match up for both teams.  Sting and Mortis were on the same page while Vamp and Rhino just wanted to hurt people.  The Man Beast Rhino carried most of this match.  The end came when Rhino gored both Mortis and Sting.  He was about to apply the Rhino Recliner to Sting when Vamp ordered him to lock in on Mortis.  He did and Mortis tapped out.  Sting rolled to the floor and grabbed his trusty bat and made the save.  He then grabbed the mic.

Sting:  Rhino, you like to hurt people?  You want to hurt someone?  Why don't you try me.  Slamboree is just a few weeks away and we will go one on one.  Bring your A game because it will be SHOWTIME!

We then go to the back where Mean Gene is with Disqo.

Mean:  Disqo, on Nitro you were challenged to this special six man tag team match by Shane Douglas.  Did you find any partners?

Disqo:  I told you this was about respect Gene.  I didn't look for partners and I don't care.  Tonight I earn respect even if it kills me.

Mean:  And it just might Disqo.  Up next it looks to be a handicap match.

The Hart Foundation and Disqo defeated
The Triple Threat (C.W. Anderson, Chris Candido and Shane Douglas) when Disqo defeated Candido by disqualification in 0:12:04.
Rating: ** 1/4

This match started off as a handicap match as Disqo tried to fight the Triple Threat on his own.  He did a decent job but the numbers became just too much for him.  Then the Hart Foundation came out.  Disqo feel into the tag and didn't even know it.  The match then erupted into a brawl.  During it somehow Disqo was tagged back in.  He hit Candido with the Last Dance on Candido and went for the cover which brought in Tammy which resulted in a DQ.

Madden:  I don't believe it.  It will be Disqo verse Shane Douglas as Slamboree.

Hudson:  Disqo is out for respect Mark and he is earning it every week if you ask me.

Madden:  No one did Baldie.

Hudson:  Up next Curt Hennig and Little Guido.

Curt Hennig pinned Little Guido Maritato with the Hennig Plex in 0:10:30.
Rating: *** 1/4

Hennig and Guido had a fantastic match.  It was back and forth and no outside interference.  The end came when there was a series of reversals.  Guido went for the Kiss of Death which Hennig countered by shoving him into the ropes.  Hennig then kicked Guido in the gut and went for the Hennig Plex which was countered when Guido hit Hennig with a low blow.  Guido then went for a vertical suplex which Hennig blocked with a knee to the midsection.  Hennig then hooked the Hennig Plex and got the win.  We then go to the back where Gene Bennett is with William Regal.

Bennett:  Mr. Regal, tonight you face off with the man you took that US---I mean British Heavyweight title from.

Regal:  That is right.  What did you say your name was?

Bennett:  It is Gene Bennett.

Regal:  It doesn't really matter.  Tonight I take on Vader because he can't follow orders.  All he had to do was take out Scott Steiner but he couldn't do it.

Bennett:  Well in case you didn't hear the boss Ric Flair has hired the Mamalukes to take Scott Steiner out tonight.

Regal:  Well the CEO make sure that Scott doesn't make it to Slamboree or he will be working for me when my attorney gets done with him and WCW.

Bennett:  Tonight in half our main event it will be Vader and William Regal.

Handicap-Match:
Scott Steiner defeated The Mamalukes when S. Steiner pinned Johnny the Bull after hitting him with a foreign object in 0:07:05.
Rating: ** 1/2

Scott Steiner got a big win over a well oiled tag team in the Mamalukes.  The Mamalukes nearly got the win several times but Steiner just would fall.  The end came when Steiner got a hold of his lead pipe and knocked both men out.  After that he attacked the ref Jaime Tucker with the lead pipe as well.

Steiner:  FLAIR!  After I take care of Regal at Slamboree I am coming for you old ass.  This kid's injury is on your head.

Steiner then put the pipe behind Tuckers leg and twisted it snapping his leg.  The trainer and security pulled Tucker from the ring as we go to break.

Arn Anderson and Jeff Jarrett defeated Lash LeRoux and Bill DeMott when Anderson pinned LeRoux with the Spinebuster in 0:08:49.
Rating: * 1/2

After being attacked by Arn and Jeff in the parking lock Lash and Bill opened the match up like a house of fire.  Early on Jeff and Arn were on the defensive and couldn't get any offense in.  The tide changed when Arn tripped Lash allowing Jeff to clip him.  This set up the pace for the rest of the match.  The end came when Arn hit his Spinebuster on Lash and got the cover while Jeff kept Bill at bay.  From the back out came the FBI in full to attack Bill and Lash.  This brought out Scott Taylor but he soon was over powered by superior numbers.  As Arn and Jeff were leaving the ring Curt Hennig attacked them from behind with a steel chair.  He then ran to the ring and chased the FBI out as well.

Non-Title-Match:
Big Van Vader pinned William Regal with the Vader Bomb in 0:08:21.
Rating: *** 1/4

In a rematch from Spring Stampede Big Van Vader got a bit of revenge for his loss.  This match was much like the one at the last PPV but this time it was more even.  Regal hit his Neckbreaker but Vader powered out.  Moments later Vader hit an Inverted Powerbomb followed by the Vader Bomb for the win.

Spike Dudley defeated Booker T by disqualification in 0:07:22.
Rating: *
(Booker T retained the WCW World Title.)

After Spike's upset wins over the last week he got a chance to Booker T's title.  This match was back and forth and Spike got several near falls.  The end saw Paul Wight come out as Spike was going for the Acid Drop.  Wight caught Spike as he ran up the turnbuckles and gave him the Showstopper.  This caused a DQ and ended the match.  Wight however wasn't done.  He stood over Spike yelling about seeing him at Slamboree.  Booker T then attacked Paul Wight from behind.  This brought out Big Van Vader who attacked his opponent at Slamboree.  Vader gave Booker T a huge Powerbomb while Wight gave Spike another Showstopper as we went off the air.
