Nitro comes on the air with the first match in the ring. It is the FBI taking on three of the Ministry members.

The Ministry (Gangrel, Papa Shango and Paul Wight) defeated FBI (Big Vito, Johnny the Bull and Little Guido Maritato) when Gangrel pinned Vito with the Impaler in 0:05:02.
Rating: * 1/4

Nothing real special to report in this match.  The end came when Gangrel hit Vito with his Impaler DDT.  After the match Big Sal hit the ring and a brawl between the two biggest men in WCW, Sal and Paul.  Finally the FBI and the Ministry separated the two as we go to break.  After the break we have William Regal in the ring with a mic.

Regal:  Hello all my American friends.  Tonight I am going to talk about fairness.  Last week on this show that toe rag Hulk Hogan had his career ended at the hands of Scott Steiner.  Now I am not a fan of Scott, I think Hogan got what he deserved.  The only person who deserved it more is that walking corpse the Undertaker.

The arena then goes dark as the Undertaker comes out.

Taker:  Listen up Regal, you want to bad mouth me?  I will make your ass famous if you mess with me.  Sting and Hollywood Hogan both got famous because of me, and tonight it's your turn.

The Undertaker pinned William Regal after a choke slam in 0:08:21.
Rating: ** 1/2

William Regal once again showed that he can carry anyone to a top match.  Regal worked hard and tried to upset Taker, but he was just too much.  The end came when Regal went for a flying axhandle, but Taker caught him and gave him a choke slam and got the win.  We then go to the announce table.

Bennett:  Hello everyone, and welcome to Nitro.  Tonight we have a big main event.

Hudson:  We sure do Gene.  Tonight after the fight on Thunder The World Champion Booker T faces Scott Steiner and the TV Champion Rhino in a three-way dance.

Bennett:  I am getting word that neither title will be on the line.  So it will be for pride tonight.

Hudson:  Also Lance Storm takes on the man he stabbed in the back, Spike Dudley.

Bennett:  Speaking of that, lets go to footage of Lance Storm and Spike Dudley losing the tag titles to The Hart Foundation.

We see Lance Storm shove Spike off the apron and turn around right into the Hart Attack and he loses the match.  Spike and Lance shove each other and then Spike gets locked into the Maple Leaf.  We then go to the back where we see Lance talking to someone in his locker room.

Storm:  Yeah I am up next.  Don't worry it won't take long.  Yeah, you know what to do.  I have to get to the ring now, just be ready.

Lance Storm pinned Spike Dudley after hitting him with a foreign object in 0:07:12.
Rating: ** 3/4

Lance Storm picked up a big win here over Spike Dudley.  It wasn't without help however.  Spike controlled much of the match.  Then from the back out came Owen Hart.  Owen was carrying the Canadian Flag.   As Spike went for the Acid Drop, Owen hit him with the flag.  He dropped it in the ring as the ref tried to get Owen down.  Lance then hit Spike with the flag and made the cover for the win.  Owen and Lance then hit a version of the Hart Attack before sending him from the ring and getting the mic.

Owen:  I'M BACK!  You know for the last several months I have been carrying a big oaf in matches.  Well after being injured do you think he or anyone else from the Ministry called me?  Do you think they cared?  OF COURSE NOT!  Do you think my family called?  OF COURSE NOT!  Do you know who did call?  This man here Lance Storm.

Storm:  Bret, I told you that Owen didn't want anything to do with you.  You are nothing but a bunch of back stabbers.  You didn't care that Owen left the Hart Foundation for the Ministry.  You didn't care that Owen was hurt.  You didn't a few weeks ago when I was hurt.  You only care about yourself.  Well you now better care about your health, because we will hunt you down.

Owen:  Those belts are mine. I wasn't pinned.  That big goof Paul Wight was.  Sooner or later the NEW HART FOUNDATION will get those belts.  WHOO!

Bennett:  What an announcement Scott, Lance Storm and Owen Hart a team again here in WCW.

Hudson:  Well Gene, this doesn't look good for Jim and Bret.  That team will give them a run for their money.

Bennett:  Speaking of the Hart Foundation, they take on the team of Lash LeRoux and Bill DeMott after the break.

The Hart Foundation defeated Bill DeMott and Lash LeRoux when B. Hart made LeRoux submit to the Sharpshooter in 0:07:12.
Rating: ** 1/4
(The Hart Foundation retained the WCW Tag Team Titles.)

The Hart Foundation made short work of the team of Bill DeMott and Lash LeRoux.  Both teams had a few quick tags at the start.  But once Lash was in there for a little time the Foundation focused on him.  The end came when Bret locked in the Sharpshooter and got the win.  DeMott rolled Lash out of the ring and started to the back when Owen and Lance ran past him.  In the ring they attack the champs from behind putting them down.  Owen locks Bret into the Sharpshooter while Lance locks Jim into the Maple Leaf.  Then we see that Lash and Bill re-enter the ring and attack the New Hart Foundation clearing the ring.  We then go to break.

Owen Hart pinned Scott Taylor after an enzuigiri in 0:08:02.
Rating: ** 1/2

In a battle of former champions Owen picked up the win here.  Taylor hit the Worm but was distracted by Lance Storm.  Taylor turned around and caught Owen's boot, but was then hit his enzuigiri.  Owen then made the cover and got the win.  Lance and Owen then hit Taylor with their version of the Hart Attack before leaving.

Jaime Knoble and Tony Mamaluke battled to a double pin in 0:04:54.
Rating: * 3/4
(Tony Mamaluke retained the WCW Cruiserweight Title.)

Former Cruiserweight champ Jaime Knoble challenged Mamaluke for the title.  Both men were very aggressive in the match.  Mamaluke countered Jaime's Tombstone with one of his own.  Mamaluke then came off the top with his leg drop, but Knoble moved.  Knoble then hit a German Suplex but was so tired couldn't keep his own shoulders off the mat.  The official then counted both men down and called the match a draw.  The rest of the FBI then hit the ring and attacked Knoble as we went to break.

Jeff Jarrett pinned Brian Christopher with the Stroke in 0:03:48.
Rating: **

Jeff Jarrett took on former partner Brian Christopher.  This match was short and Jeff really controlled most of it.  Jarrett finished the match off with the Stroke.

Mortis pinned Just Joe with the Flatliner in 0:08:26.
Rating: *

The upset minded Just Joe took on Mortis of the Ministry.  Joe hit his Jumping DDT but somehow Mortis kicked out.  Joe then went for a second DDT, but Mortis countered with a kick to the midsection.  He then hit the Flatliner and got the win.  After the break we see Ray Traylor in the ring.

Traylor:  I am tired of not getting any respect in this damn company.  Ric Flair, why is I don't get any respect?  Is it because I haven't beat you?  Well why don't you get your horse-toothed ass out here so I can.

Ric Flair then comes out onto the ramp.

Flair:  Ray, I have known you for a long time.  I thought you were smarter then this.  You want the Nature Boy?  You want the kiss stealing, wheeling dealing, jet flying, limousine riding son of a gun in the ring?  Well you got it.

Ric Flair pinned Ray Traylor with the Figure-Four Leglock in 0:06:11.
Rating: * 3/4

Ric Flair was on the defense early on as Traylor caught him getting into the ring.   However Flair soon took over and finished Traylor off with the Figure Four.

Big Van Vader pinned Disqo with the Vader Bomb in 0:05:13.

Non-Title:
No-Countout-No-DQ-3-Man Battle Royal:
Rhino won a 3-man Battle Royal:
x Rhino defeated S. Steiner after the Piledriver in 0:06:37
x Rhino defeated Booker T after the Piledriver in 0:11:15
Rating: *** 1/2

Rhino showed that he is a major star in WCW by pinning not only former TV Champion Scott Steiner, but also the current World Champion Booker T.  Early on Booker and Steiner double teamed Rhino trying to put him out, but Rhino wouldn't be denied.  The end of Steiner came when he and Booker finally came to blows.  Booker knocked Steiner right into the gore followed by his Piledriver and the win.  Booker then worked over the current TV Champion, but Rhino was just too dominant tonight.  The end saw Booker miss a missile dropkick setting up the gore and the Piledriver.  We leave the air with Rhino standing above a falling Booker T holding both belts.
