Thunder comes on the air with footage of Sting costing The Undertaker the TV title. We also see Tony Mamaluke win the Cruiserweight title. We then go to the ring where Steve Blackman is awaiting the returning Alex Wright. Alex Wright comes out and then the Undertaker attacks him from behind. The Undertaker gives him a chokeslam on the stage and then the Last Rites off the ramp through a table. He then charges the ring.
The Undertaker pinned Steve Blackman after a choke slam in 0:01:25. The Undertaker made short work of Blackman and finished him off with the Chokeslam. He then grabbed the mic. Taker: Sting! On Monday night you sealed your fate. I promise that you will not make it to Spring Stampede. And if you do make it that far, I want you in the ring. You and me Sting, Casket match. I will finish what I started months ago Sting. The Undertaker then grabs Steve Blackman and plants him in the middle of the ring with the Last Rites before leaving. After the break we see that Bill DeMott returned to action on Monday night and tried to get revenge against the Mamalukes who injured him. We then go to the ring where The Mamalukes team up with fellow FBIer Little Guido to take on DeMott, Scott Taylor and Jaime Knoble.
The Mamalukes and Little Guido Maritato defeated Jaime Knoble, Bill
DeMott and Scott Taylor when L. Guido pinned Taylor with the Kiss of
Death in 0:07:32. This was a wild six-man tag match. The focus of the FBI seemed to be on Scott Taylor and they kept him in the ring much of the match. Finally Bill DeMott got the tag and the match erupted. During the brawl Taylor got hit with the Kiss of Death and the official Scott James made the count on the illegal man giving the FBI another win. We then go to the back. We see Lance Storm and Bret Hart run into each other. Storm: Watch it. Hart: Lance, what is your problem? For the last week you have been treating me like I was the enemy. We are friends. Storm: We were friends Bret. Now I know why Owen didn't want anything to do with his family. You are nothing but a bunch of back stabbers. Hart: Don't talk about my family. Storm: Or what? Hart: Why don't you bring that partner of yours to the ring and we can settle this in the ring. Storm: Fine.
The Hart Foundation defeated Lance Storm and Spike Dudley when B.
Hart pinned L. Storm after the Hart Attack in 0:14:18. The Hart Foundation finally won the tag team titles after several attempts. Storm and Dudley didn't have any teamwork really. Storm seemed more interested in personal attacks on Bret. The end came when Spike and Storm got into an argument. Storm ended up shoving Spike off the apron and turned right into the Hart Attack. The Hart Foundation walked out with the titles. After the match Spike came in and tried to talk to Storm. Storm instead turned on Spike and locked him into the Maple Leaf. Storm kept it locked in for several minutes before leaving the ring. After the break we see Storm in the locker room when Ric Flair comes in. Flair: Lance, do we have a problem here? I thought you were going to be a team player. Storm: A team player? A TEAM PLAYER! Listen Ric, I am on one team, and that's mine. It seems like I better do just that because no one else wants to think about me. Now Ric if you will excuse me I have to catch a plane. Good evening. Flair: Lance, this isn't the way, think about it.
Jeff Jarrett pinned Disqo after a vertical suplex in 0:02:06. Disqo took on Jeff Jarrett. Jarrett was able to revenge an embarrassing lose at Souled Out earlier this year with this short and very convincing win.
Mortis pinned Ray Traylor with the Flatliner in 0:08:01. Ray Traylor came out sporting a black eye from the attack by Scott Steiner on Nitro. This match was one of Traylor's best here in WCW and he nearly won it. He tried to hit the Traylor Park Trash but Mortis countered with a single arm DDT. He quickly hit the Flatliner giving the Ministry a much needed win.
Brian Christopher pinned Lash LeRoux after hitting him with brass
knuckles in 0:03:33. Two cruiserweights battled it out in the next match. Brian Christopher got the win by pulling out a pair of brass knuckles from his trunks and knocking LeRoux out. As Brian celebrated Scott Steiner hit the ring from through the crowd. Steiner hit Brian in the back of the head with his lead pipe sending him out of the ring. He then went after LeRoux. He gave Lash a big belly to belly and then a Steiner Line before applying the Steiner Recliner. Bill DeMott came out and tried to make the save, but Steiner quickly knocked him out with the pipe and locked LeRoux back into the Recliner. This brought out Booker T who sent Steiner running from the ring. We then go to break. After the break we see Mean Gene with Booker T. Mean: Booker T, some people are already second guessing your choice of helping Lash moments ago. It is pretty obvious that when Midajah left Scott he flipped out. Booker: Gene, someone needs to stop that man. He already put out Hogan, which wouldn't be bad had he not done it like he did. Tonight Steiner, you got me in the ring. Scotty, don't hate the player----HATE THE GAME! We then go see the new cruiserweight champion Tony Mamaluke take on Just Joe.
Tony Mamaluke pinned Just Joe with the Guillotine Legdrop in 0:05:35. Tony Mamaluke started off his title reign with an upset minded Just Joe. Joe was actually on top of his game and nearly won the match on several occasions. The end of the match saw Just Joe attempt his Jumping DDT which was countered into a release northern lights suplex. Mamaluke then hit his Guillotine Legdrop to keep the title.
Rhino pinned Fit Finlay with the Piledriver in 0:02:20. Fit Finlay had a chance at regaining his TV title, but Rhino completely destroyed him. Finlay only got a few rights and lefts in, but Rhino finished him off and retained his title. We then go to break. After the break we see that William Regal is in the ring. Regal: Hello all my American friends, it is I, your good will ambassador. I have come out here to talk about all of you from Colorado. Now I know Denver is the mile high city. And I also know that the air is thinner which might explain the lack of intelligence here in Denver, but what about the rest of the state? Why is it everyone in this state is so dumb? Well tonight we are going to start with a little bit of an English lesson. Suddenly Vader's music plays and he charged the ring and Regal quickly retreats. Vader: You want to mess with Colorado? You want to mess with the USA? Well you failed to get the World Title and the TV title in the last few weeks, so why not try and get this title here. Regal: All right sunshine, I will come in there and give you a thrashing. But after I win that title I am going to rename it the British Title sunshine.
Big Van Vader pinned William Regal with the Vader Bomb in 0:09:29. Vader and Regal had a great match up here. Early on Vader was on fire and looked like he was going to make short work of Regal. Vader however was over confident and Regal took advantage of that. Regal moved as Vader went for the Moonsault. Regal then kept Vader on the mat with submission moves while he regained his breath. Regal hit a reverse neckbreaker and went for the Regal Stretch, but Vader was just too big. Vader kicked Regal off into the corner. Regal charged out and Vader hit him with a powerslam. He then hit an avalanche followed by the Vader Bomb for the win. As we go to break we see the World Champ Booker T and Scott Steiner coming to the ring.
Booker T pinned Scott Steiner with the Book End in 0:10:30. Booker T got a big win over Steiner here. Steiner was a like a wild man in the ring working over Booker. Booker however kept his cool and just waited for his opening. This opening came when Midajah and Rhino appeared on the ramp way. Steiner was distracted and was a raving maniac challenging Rhino to enter the ring. Steiner turned around and Booker hit the Book End for the win. After the match Rhino hit the ring and was about to gore Steiner when Booker attacked Rhino sending him from the ring. Steiner spun Booker around and had a massive stare down as we leave the air. |
