Thunder comes on the air and we go to the announce table where Scott Hudson is with Mark Madden. Hudson:  Hello everyone and welcome to THUNDER!  I want to welcome back my broadcast partner Mark Madden after a lengthy absence.  Madden:  Well the ratings for this show are so bad they needed their star back. Hudson:  Would you shut up already Madden.  This isn't about you or--- Suddenly "Perfect Strangers" by Deep Purple. Hudson:  I know that music, but it couldn't be. We see Shane Douglas and Chris Candido come out to the ring and we see Mean Gene come out as well. Mean:  Shane Douglas, what in the world are you doing here? Shane:  MEAN GENE, I am here where the so called best athletes are.  Guys in this company have avoided me their entire careers, guys like Bret Hart. Mean:  Now I have a hard time believing that Bret Hart would ever duck someone.  Shane:  Gene, not only Bret Hart, but also guys like Ric Flair and the Undertaker as well.  They all know that I am the Franchise and they fear me.  So before I decided to come to WCW I contacted my good friend Chris and we have come for one reason.  That is the Hart Foundation and those Tag Team Titles. Candido:  You know where I have been Gene.  I wasn't ever treated right in that company.  They made promises to me about this and that but they never came true.  Well I don't want any promises from the management from WCW, I am going to do it all myself.  Shane:  Tonight we want a title shot.  Bret Hart, Jim Neidhart, if you have the grapefruit, come out here and get your asses franchised.  The Hart Foundation then comes out on the ramp way. Bret:  Shane--or should I call you Dean?  I didn't dodge you nor have I ever dodged you.  We are fighting champions, and if you want Skip there as your partner, then we have a match.  Chris Candido and Shane Douglas defeated The Hart Foundation when Douglas defeated B. Hart by countout in 0:04:48. Rating: * (The Hart Foundation retained the WCW Tag Team Titles.) This match was a real brawl between these two teams.  The end of the match saw yet another star debut here in WCW.  Bret and Shane were fighting on the outside.  Bret sent Shane back into the ring when from the back out came C.W. Anderson.  He spun Hart around and hit him with a savate kick nearly knocking him out.  The official didn't see it and counted Hart out.  On the inside Neidhart was fighting Candido and got hit with the Franchiser from Shane.  C.W. then came in and along with Candido and Douglas put the boots to Neidhart. Shane:  The Triple Threat is in WCW.  And that's a fact, that's a fact, that's a fact---JACKASS!  The three men give the Triple Threat signal into the camera as we go to the back.  We see a limo pulling up.  Out steps Arn Anderson, Ric Flair, Jeff Jarrett and Disqo. Disqo:  Thanks for the ride Ric. Flair:  No problem kid.  You know, I like you.  Go get your gear on, I have a big match for you tonight. Hudson:  A big match tonight for Disqo, wonder who he will be facing tonight? Madden:  Well he will blow it.  He almost always does, he is a born loser, you should see him in Vegas.  Hudson:  Madden, would you look up there, its Sting. Madden:  Is that a mic he has? Sting:  Undertaker, are you listening?  Tonight I return to action and you will be facing and my partner Scott Steiner.  You are probably wondering, who will my partner be?  Well you will be teaming with the man monster Rhino.  Undertaker, get ready, BECAUSE IT'S SHOW TIME! Hudson:  Sting returns to action here on Thunder, what a night it will be. After the break we see Curt Hennig locking up with William Regal. Curt Hennig pinned William Regal with the Hennig Plex in 0:07:35. Rating: *** 3/4 Curt Hennig in just his second match here in WCW had a great match up with William Regal.  The match was back and forth and both men had several near falls.  Regal had the Regal Stretch locked in, but somehow Hennig got out.  The end came when Regal tried for a version of the Hennig Plex on Hennig, but Curt reversed it and got the win.  After the match Big Van Vader hit the ring and attacked Hennig.  Along with Regal the two men were giving Hennig a beating when from the back out came Spike Dudley.  Dudley came in and gave Regal the Acid Drop and then hit a dropkick on Vader that sent him over the top.  We go to break with Dudley and Hennig holding off Regal and Vader.  The New Hart Foundation defeated The Mamalukes when O. Hart made Vito submit to the Sharpshooter in 0:07:58. Rating: ** 1/2 The Mamalukes tried to be the first team to beat the New Hart Foundation here in WCW, but came up short.  The end came when the Foundation gave Vito the Hart Attack and Owen locked in the Sharpshooter for the submission win. Tony Mamaluke pinned Jaime Knoble with the Guillotine Legdrop in 0:05:26. Rating: ** 1/2 (Tony Mamaluke retained the WCW Cruiserweight Title.) The next match saw one of hottest stars in Tony Mamaluke take on Jaime Knoble for the title Jaime once held.  This match went back and forth but ended when Mamaluke showed us some of his highflying skills.  Mamaluke hit a double springboard DDT followed by his Guillotine Leg drop for the win.  Arn Anderson pinned Bill DeMott with the Spinebuster in 0:03:11. Rating: * (Arn Anderson retained the WCW TV Title.) Arn Anderson continued his title reign by defeating Bill DeMott.  Lash LeRoux was at ringside during the match but didn't get involved.  The end came when Anderson hit his Spinebuster out of nowhere for the win. Brian Christopher and Steve Blackman defeated Danny Doring and Roadkill when Blackman pinned Roadkill after hitting him with a foreign object in 0:05:24. Rating: * The debut of the team of Brian Christopher and Steve Blackman was a successful one against a team that has just joined WCW in Doring and Roadkill.  This match went back and forth but the deciding factor was Blackman's kendo stick.  He hit Roadkill when the ref wasn't looking and got the win. We then go to the back where Disqo is coming out of his locker room and Ric Flair walks up. Flair:  Looking good kid.  You ready for tonight?  It could be a huge night in your career. Disqo:  Yeah, all set, but who is this man I am fighting? Flair:  Don't worry kid, it will be great. Vampiro pinned Scott Taylor with the Nail In the Coffin in 0:04:10. Rating: * 1/4 Vampiro defeated a slumping Scott Taylor in a fast paced match.  Taylor hit the Worm, but somehow Vamp kicked out.  Moments later Vamp countered a bodypress into the Nail in the Coffin for the win. Madden:  Vampiro is one crispy critter, but he is on a winning streak here in WCW since returning. Hudson:  Mark, I am getting word that we not only have the tag match and Disqo's match tonight, but Vader and Spike Dudley will square off after Dudley saved Curt Hennig. Madden:  Spike Dudley will be a grease spot on the mat after Vader is done, what an idiot to get involved. Hudson:  After the break Disqo faces a mystery man. Paul Wight pinned Disqo with the Showstopper in 0:01:38. Rating: * Disqo entered the ring and waited for his opponent when the lights suddenly went out.  We see Paul Wight come out and Disqo looks shocked.  This match was short and Disqo didn't get much offense in.  The end came at the hands of a Chokeslam from Wight.  We go to break with the Big Show standing over a fallen Disqo. After the break we see Disqo in the back with Ric Flair. Disqo:  What in the hell was that?  You set me up Flair.  What is the deal? Flair:  Hey I thought you could handle him Double G, don't worry though, on Monday you will get a win.  I know just the man. Disqo:  The Big Show?  What the hell. We then go to the ring where Vader and Spike Dudley are locking up. Big Van Vader pinned Spike Dudley with the Vader Bomb in 0:04:24. Rating: ** (Big Van Vader retained the WCW United States Title.) Vader really dominated most of the match.  Dudley did get in some offense but Vader ended it with the Vader Bomb. Madden:  I told you Spike was a dead man.   Hudson:  Up next, our main event tag team match. Rhino and The Undertaker defeated Scott Steiner and Sting when Rhino pinned S. Steiner with the Piledriver in 0:09:10. Rating: ** In the main event Sting made his return and this was a preview of Spring Stampede.  Both teams really just brawled with the respective pairings for Spring Stampede.  During the match Sting fought off the entire Ministry with help from Ric Flair, Jeff Jarrett and Arn Anderson.  Disqo also came out, but he headed for the ring where Steiner and Rhino were fighting.  Disqo tried to help Steiner but missed Rhino with the chair shot and ended up hitting Steiner.  This set up the gore and the Piledriver for the win.  We leave the air with a brawl going on.
