Nitro comes on the air with fireworks.  We then go straight to the ring where the New Hart Foundation is in the ring.

Owen:  Shut up everyone and listen.  The King of Harts is about to talk.  We issued an open challenge last week on Thunder.  We don't care who, but let us show you why we are the best team in wrestling today.

"Super Bon Bon" by Soul Coughing plays as Danny Doring and Roadkill come out onto the ramp.

Doring:  Owen, you have a big mouth.  The two of us were sitting at home when you made your little challenge.  I looked at Roadkill and asked him if he was thinking what I was thinking and he was.  Now we are here in WCW and you are going to be our stepping-stone to stardom.

Roadkill:  CHICKENS!!

Doring and Roadkill charge the ring and the match is one.

The New Hart Foundation defeated Danny Doring and Roadkill when L. Storm pinned Doring after the Hart Attack in 0:07:48.
Rating: *** 1/4

In their debut Danny Doring and Roadkill had the match of a lifetime.  Early on Storm and Owen didn't know what to make of them, and they looked to be on the road to an upset win.  They even hit their version of the Hart Attack but couldn't finish them off.  The end came when Storm and Owen had to reach into their bag of dirty tricks.  The end came after Doring and Roadkill hit the Buggy Bag.  As the official was getting Roadkill out to the ring Owen hit Doring in the back of the head with a flying legdrop.  Roadkill tried to come in but was dropkicked off the top through the timekeeper's table.  Owen and Lance then hit the Hart Attack and got the win.  After the match Storm locked Doring into the Maple Leaf while Owen rolled Roadkill into the ring and locked in the Sharpshooter.  This brought out Bret Hart and Jim Neidhart to make the save.  We then go to the announce table.

Bennett:  What an opening match here on Nitro Scott.

Hudson:  That is just the first in many big matches tonight.  Tonight in the main event the Hart Foundation faces off with Paul Wight and The Undertaker, the big men of the Ministry try to take the titles.

Bennett:  Also the former TV Champion Little Guido faces off with the new TV Champion 'Double A' Arn Anderson.  What a return to action it was on Thunder when he defeated Rhino.  Speaking of Rhino, he is with Mean Gene right now.

Mean:  Thanks Gene, this man makes me nervous right here.  Rhino, in 13 days you are not only going into the Battle Bowl, but also will be facing Scott Steiner for a shot at the title.

Rhino:  At Spring Stampede I show why this lovely lady here left that little boy Scott Steiner for a real man like me.  STEINER, YOU WILL BE MY BITCH AT THE STAMPEDE!

Mean:  Not to upset you Rhino, but you recently lost your TV Title to ring veteran Arn Anderson.  Many people say that it was because of Scott Steiner.

Rhino:  That old man couldn't beat me in his hay day.  He was lucky Gene, and you know it just like everyone else.  The only reason I am not getting a rematch is because he is Flair's buddy.  But after Spring Stampede and the following Nitro I will be the world champion and there isn't anything they can do about it.

Mean:  Up next that man right there Rhino takes on Spike Dudley.

Rhino pinned Spike Dudley with the Piledriver in 0:01:50.
Rating: * 3/4

Rhino completely destroyed lil Spike Dudley here.  Spike caught Rhino as he entered with a few rights, but that was it.  Rhino hit a lariat, the gore and then the piledriver for the win.  We then go to the back where the FBI is with Mark Madden.

Madden:  I am here with the Full Blooded Italians here.  Tonight could be the biggest night ever in your history.  Little Guido, you face the TV Champion Arn Anderson.

Guido:  Madden, tonight I become a two time TV Champion when I defeat that old man Arn Anderson.  Arn is half a man really, we all know the neck problems the old man has.  Tonight I give him the Kiss of Death and take my title back.

Madden:  I agree Guido, tonight you destroy the old man.  Also tonight Tony, you team with Vito and Johnny to take on the team of Jeff Jarrett, Ric Flair, and I can't believe I am about to say this---Disqo.

Tony:  Mark, you hate that Disqo as much as we do don't you?  You remember back in 1999 when I tried to get my money from him?  He never did pay.  Tonight I take a little of that money out of his ass.  And if that hillbilly Jeff Jarrett or that old fossil Ric Flair gets in our way they will take an ass kicking as well.

Vito:  Hey Mark, we don't sweat nobody and we do mean nobody.

Bull:  Tonight I break a few thumbs in that ring.

Madden:  I would hate to be in Disqo's shoes tonight.

After the break we see clips of Vampiro being lit on fire by Vader at Uncensored in their match up.  We then go to the ring where Ray Traylor has the mic.

Traylor:  Why don't all you people shut the hell up when I am in the ring.  Tonight I face a crispy critter in Vampiro.  But to make the match interesting it is going to be a hardcore match because I am the most hardcore man in wrestling today.

Hardcore match:
Vampiro pinned Ray Traylor with the Nail In the Coffin in 0:05:08.
Rating: *

In Vampiro's return he beat one tough SOB in Traylor.  Vampiro wore a complete body suit including a mask to cover the burns he suffered.  The match was all over the arena and many weapons were used.  Vamp ended the match when he hit the Nail in the Coffin on the ramp for the win.

Bennett:  A big win for Vampiro in his return to action here in WCW.  The big question is what does he look like under that mask?

Hudson:  Personally Gene I don't want to see what is under the mask or outfit.  We saw the man set on fire and he has to be scarred.

Bennett:  Well I am interested Scott.  After the break the team of Bill DeMott and Lash LeRoux take on the Ministries Gangrel and Papa Shango.

Bill DeMott and Lash LeRoux defeated The Ministry (Gangrel and Papa Shango) when LeRoux pinned Gangrel after a flying cross body press in 0:03:14.
Rating: *

In a very one-sided match, DeMott and LeRoux picked up a much needed win here.  Many in WCW had high hopes for LeRoux and hopefully he will live up to those in the tag team division.  The end of the match came when DeMott gave LeRoux a rocket launcher type throw into a body block on Gangrel for the win.

Bennett:  LeRoux and DeMott just picked up a big win.  This team if they stay together can be champions some day.

Hudson:  Right now lets go to the back where Mike Tenay is with Disqo, Ric Flair and Jeff Jarrett.

Tenay:  Guys, you heard the comments from the FBI earlier, lets start with you Disqo.

Disqo:  That Tony is nothing but a troublemaker.  I have him his money years ago and worked off the part I didn't have.  I told him I would pay him, but that wasn't enough.  He brought my friends and my family into it.  Tonight I show him just who has debts coming to who.

Flair:  Disqo, tonight is a big night for you.  You remember when you were walking around the back calling yourself Double G, the Re-Enforcer?  Or the time you led Arn to an attack by the Outsiders?  I didn't forget any of those times, but we can clear them up as a team.  Tonight Disqo you become a member of something special.  Tonight you can be welcomed into stardom.

Tenay:  Jeff Jarrett, you were the world champion just a few months ago.  After returning from injury you haven't really been in the title picture.  Can we expect to see you climb that ladder once more?

Jarrett:  Listen slapass, we have a few things to clear up with the FBI first.  Then I want to warn one Booker T that he has my title.  Booker, you have the Chosen One coming after you.

Flair:  WHOO!

Tenay:  Up next, Brian Christopher and Mortis.

Brian Christopher and Mortis battled to a double countout in 0:03:07.
Rating: * 1/4

Neither of these men are on what you would call a hot streak here in WCW and both needed a win.  This led to both men brawling on the floor and getting counted out.

Scott Steiner pinned Jaime Knoble after hitting him with a foreign object in 0:06:42.
Rating: ** 1/2

Scott Steiner basically the same thing Rhino did earlier but took his time doing it.  He ended the match by knocking Knoble out with is trusty lead pipe.  After the match Steiner took the mic.

Steiner:  Rhino, you said I am a boy?  You say I am going to be your bitch at Spring Stampede.  Well you are my freak you long haired goof.

We see Rhino enter the ring from through the crowd.

Steiner:  Why don't you come out here right now, why wait thirteen days?  Scared, I figured as much.

Steiner turned around right into a gore from Rhino.  Rhino then locked Steiner into a version of the Steiner Recliner.  Midajah then entered the ring and slapped Steiner several times before officials broke it up.

After the break we see the US Champion Big Van Vader in the ring.

Vader:  WHO'S THE MAN!  WHO'S THE MAN!  Since I embarked on the Road Kill Tour, no one has been able to stop me.  Why you could say I am perfect.  No one can sto---

Suddenly familiar music plays as Curt Hennig walks out on the ramp.

Hennig:  Vader, you don't know perfect.  Nobody knows perfect but me, Curt Hennig.

Vader:  Hennig, you don't know what you are doing.  You best not be thinking what I think you are thinking.

Hennig:  I have held that US title before Vader.  Why don't you step up and give someone who is truly Perfect a chance.

Vader:  Just shut your cake hole and get in the ring.

Curt Hennig and Big Van Vader battled to a double countout in 0:07:43.
Rating: **
(Big Van Vader retained the WCW United States Title.)

Yet another debut here in WCW as 'Mr. Perfect' Curt Hennig debuts.  Hennig looked in the best shape of his career in this match.  The end however wasn't what he or Vader wanted as they fought outside the ring and ended in a double countout.

Disqo, Jeff Jarrett and Ric Flair defeated FBI (Big Vito, Johnny the Bull and Tony Mamaluke) when Jarrett pinned Johnny the Bull with the Stroke in 0:04:04.
Rating: *

Ric Flair and company defeated the FBI in a brawl.  The end came when Disqo hit a Last Dance on Tony Mamaluke on the floor.  In the ring Flair locked Vito into the Figure Four and Jarrett hit the Bull with the Stroke for the win.  On the outside Disqo stood over Tony putting the bad mouth on him when Little Guido came out and gave him the Kiss of Death on the floor.  This brought out Arn Anderson who attacked Guido and our TV title match was on.

Arn Anderson pinned Little Guido Maritato with the Spinebuster in 0:06:02.
Rating: *** 3/4
(Arn Anderson retained the WCW TV Title.)

Anderson and Guido had on of the best technical matches we have seen in some time here in WCW.  It seemed that we would have a new champion as Guido was setting up the Kiss of Death.  Arn however hit a low blow and sent him into the ropes where Disqo gave him the Last Dance across the ropes basically giving him a Hotshot.  Guido then stumbled into the Spinebuster for the win.  We then go to the back where Mean Gene is with the Hart Foundation.

Mean:  Bret, Jim, tonight you face the two biggest men currently active in WCW in the Big Show and The Undertaker.

Bret:  We have faced The Big Show before when he was teaming with my no good brother.  As for the Undertaker, he has felt the Sharpshooter before, but tonight he might be no the verge of a Hart Attack.

Jim:  Mean Gene, we don't back down from anyone.  Not Owen Hart, Lance Storm, Bill DeMott or anyone else.  Tonight we take the Ministry out, AHAHAH!

Mean:  Up next, our main event.

The Hart Foundation defeated The Ministry (Paul Wight and The Undertaker) when B. Hart pinned Undertaker after the Hart Attack in 0:06:53.
Rating: *** 1/2
(The Hart Foundation retained the WCW Tag Team Titles.)

The Ministry really dominated most of this match.  Their size was just too much for the Foundation to over come.  However once again Sting decided to show up.  However the Big Show was ready and cut him off and they fought on the outside.  On the inside thought this left Taker by himself.  The Hart's took advantage and hit the Hart Attack on Taker for the win and retained their titles.  We leave the air with Big Show and Sting brawling on the ramp.
