Thunder comes on the air with footage from the brawl at the end of Nitro.  We also see Brian Christopher lose to Just Joe.  We then go to the commissioner's office. Hogan:  Welcome to Thunder everyone.  Tonight is going to be a great night of Thunder.  In our main event it I will step in the ring with Vampiro to face off with The World Champ Booker T and that turncoat Jeff Jarrett.  Also The Undertaker defeats---I mean faces Vader for the US Title.  Suddenly the office door gets kicked in and in storms Demolition. Smash:  What the hell is your problem? Ax:  You think that gang of goons can mess with us? Hogan:  Hold up, you didn't let me finish the matches for tonight.  I was just about to announce that I am going to give you boys a tag title shot tonight.  All you need to do is sign this contract. Smash:  You better. Ax:  Give us that damn contract. Demolition signs the contract and storms out.  Hogan just gets an evil look on his face as we go to the ring.  The first match has come about because of the six-man tag match on Nitro where Disqo got the win after hitting Mortis with Papa Shango's voodoo stick.  Mortis pinned Disqo after a superkick in 0:06:41. Rating: * 1/4 Mortis picked up the win, but it wasn't without the help from Gangrel and Papa Shango.  Disqo was on his game tonight, but came up short after being distracted by Shango.  Disqo knocked him off the apron and charged Gangrel, who spit blood into Disqo's face.  Disqo then turned right into a superkick.  This wasn't the end of the brawl however as Gangrel and Papa Shango entered the ring and attacked Disqo.  From the back out came Alex Wright and their new buddy Jaime Knoble.  Also out came Bill DeMott and Steve Blackman.  The Ministry retreats but laughs as the lights go out. They come back up and all five men in the ring are covered in blood. The Ministry (Owen Hart and Paul Wight) defeated Demolition when Wight pinned Smash with the Showstopper in 0:15:16. Rating: ** (The Ministry (Owen Hart and Paul Wight) retained the WCW Tag Team Titles.) Demolition lost more then just the match here it comes to find out.  Demolition gave their best performance yet against the tag champions and came within an eyelash of becoming the champions several times.  The end came when Owen gave Smash an enziguri allowing Big Show to hit the Showstopper for the win.  Owen and Wight left the ring as Demolition regrouped.  The voodoo Child plays as Commissioner Hogan comes out. Hogan:  Ax, Smash, you really should read the contracts better.  This match was a RETIREMENT match.  Ladies and gentlemen, get your cameras out because this is the LAST time you will see Demolition in a WCW ring! Ax and Smash slowly leave the ring as we go to break.  After the break we see Demolition leaving the ring as we go to the back where Mean Gene is with Ric Flair. Mean:  Ric Flair, can't you do something about this? Flair:  Gene, I wish I could.  I just had the WCW lawyers look over the contracts, and they are legal and binding. Mean:  What does this do for your Wargames match at Uncensored? Flair:  I don't know Gene, but I promise you this, the match will go down if I have to enter the ring myself. Mean:  Thank you Ric, lets get back to the ring. Bill DeMott and Steve Blackman defeated The Mamalukes when Blackman pinned Vito with the Pump Kick in 0:04:25. Bill DeMott suffered a neck injury. He will be out for approximately 9 cards. Rating: 1/4* The two remaining men in the Wargames match faced off with the Mamalukes.  This wasn't much of a match as Blackman made short work of Big Vito.  However the aftermath of the match was important. After the match the Mamalukes attacked DeMott and Blackman with a stickball bat and a chair. After they took out Steve Blackman they attacked Bill DeMott.  Much like DeMott did to Brian Christopher and Jeff Jarrett the Mamalukes gave DeMott a double powerbomb through two chairs set up in the ring.  Blackman recovered and chased the Mamalukes away but the damage was done. After the break we see DeMott being carted away in an ambulance.  We then go to Mean Gene. Mean:  I just got done talking to our head of security.  He has brought me this tape, lets have a look. We see a tape from a security camera.  We see that Hollywood Hulk Hogan is handing the Mamalukes an envelope.  They shake hands and leave. Mean:  I don't know what was in that envelope or what it was about, but I think we have just seen Hollywood Hogan pay for a hit! Masato Tanaka pinned Ray Traylor with the Diamond Dust in 0:06:01. Rating: ** Masato Tanaka picked up the win in this match, but lost what seems to be his next big war.  After Tanaka gave Traylor Diamond Dust and got the win Traylor rolled to the floor.  He went under the ring and pulled out a nightstick.  He went back in the ring and completely destroyed Tanaka with it before leaving.  After the break Mark Madden is with Traylor. Madden:  Ray Traylor, you looked a little big like the Big Boss Man out there. Traylor:  Mark Madden, I told everyone Monday no more mister nice guy.  I just proved that I meant it.  I am not going to play around anymore.  I am the most hardcore guy around this company.  And Tanaka, if you show up at Uncensored I will show you something else hardcore, and that is Hard Time.  The cell is already going to be there Tanaka, do you want to find out what HARDTIME is all about PUNK! Madden:  Looks like we have another match for Uncensored. Scott Steiner pinned Mikey Whipwreck after a Frankensteiner in 0:08:21. Rating: * 1/4 (Scott Steiner retained the WCW TV Title.) Scott Steiner kept his TV Title yet again in this match.  Mikey Whipwreck a former US Champ nearly got the title though.  He hit the Whippersnapper, but somehow Steiner kicked out.  Moments later Steiner hit a Frankensteiner out of nowhere for the win.  After the break Mark Madden is with Scott Steiner. Madden:  Scotty, another great win. Steiner:  Thanks Mark.  This was just another example of the Big Bad Booty Daddy taking charge. Madden:  What is next for you Scotty?  I mean who is there left? Steiner:  No one really Mark.  They keep coming and I will keep knocking them down. Suddenly Rhino charges in and shoves Madden away. Rhino:  You are so tough, how come you haven't given me a title shot yet? Steiner:  You want a shot at my title boy?  You think you can take me bitch. Steiner shoves Rhino, who shoves back. They start exchanging rights and lefts as we go to break.  Scott Taylor pinned Just Joe with the Worm in 0:07:09. Rating: * (Scott Taylor retained the WCW Cruiserweight Title.) Just Joe got this title shot after his upset victory on Nitro.  This wasn't the usual cruiserweight match with high flying as both men stayed on the mat.  The end saw Brian Christopher come out and give Just Joe a shot with chair knocking him out.  This gave Scott time to the Worm for the win.  After the pinfall Scotty realized that Joe had been busted open thanks to the chair shot.  After the break we go to Mean Gene with Scott Taylor. Mean:  Scott Taylor, I understand you have a challenge for Brian. Taylor:  Brian, you like to make people bleed?  Well I tell you what how about we have a first blood match at Uncensored.  We will find out just who likes blood. Mean:  Another big announcement here for Uncensored. Big Van Vader pinned The Undertaker with the Vader Bomb in 0:08:34. Rating: ** 1/4 (Big Van Vader retained the WCW United States Title.) The Road Kill Tour continued in this match.  The Undertaker did have help from Vampiro who ended up costing Taker the match.  Vamp tried to throw a fireball at Vader but he moved and the fireball nearly hit Taker.  It did however blind him.  Vader quickly knocked Taker down in the corner and gave him the Vader Bomb for the win.  After the match Vader threw Taker to the floor and challenged Vamp to come into the ring.  However Vamp just laughed as the ring ropes burst into flames.  After the break we see Mean Gene with Vader. Mean:  Vader, it seems that your feud with Vampiro isn---- Vader shoves Gene away and grabs the mic. Vader:  Vampiro, you like to play with fire?  WELL YOU ARE PLAYING WITH FIRE WHEN YOU MESS WITH ME!!  At Uncensored Vampiro, we are going to play with fire because we are going to have a Human Torch match.  Do you remember when you burned Sting and threw him off the big screen?  Well I am going to do that to you.  The thing is I am going to make sure that there are no fire extinguishers in the building and that you burn until you are cremated.  WHO IS THE MAN MEAN GENE!  WHO'S THE MAN! We then go to the ring where William Regal has the mic. Regal:  Hello all my American friends.  Tonight I am here to lay down a challenge.  I understand that WCW is having what they call Uncensored in just a few weeks.  Well this is night of gimmick matches.  Well I want you Bret Hart in the ring one more time.  This time your partner Jim Neidhart will be at ringside as will my good friend Fit Finlay.  Each man will have a towel and someone will have to scream to get their corner man to throw the towel in. The Hart Foundation's music plays as Jim Neidhart comes out. Neidhart:  Regal, what makes you think you will last that long?  Tonight I am going to take you out. William Regal made Jim Neidhart submit to the Regal Stretch in 0:04:46. Rating: * 1/2 William Regal made short work of Jim Neidhart and forced him to submit to the Regal Stretch.  Regal wouldn't release the hold, which brought out Bret Hart for the save.  As we go to break the arena is plunged into darkness.  After the break we see that a spotlight has hit Sting in the rafters and Bret is still in the ring. Bret:  Sting, you want to play around with the lights?  I have beaten you several times in the past how about you get your butt down here and I do it one more time. Sting then starts to lower. Sting pinned Bret Hart with the Scorpion Death Drop in 0:11:06. Rating: *** This match was very good between two of the more technically sound wrestlers.  Sting took over early on with a series of chops and slams.  Hart however took control after Sting missed the Stinger Splash.  Hart hit his usual moves like the Russian Legsweep and the backbreaker.  He was about to lock in the Sharpshooter when his little brother appears.  Bret knocked him off the apron and started to yell at Owen.  Sting however took advantage and hit the Scorpion Death Drop for the win.  Owen then came into the ring and locked in the Sharpshooter.  From the back out came Lance Storm.  He attacked Owen and hit a spinning leg lariat before Owen retreated to the back.  We go to break with Lance helping Bret up. After the break we see Lance with Mark Madden. Madden:  Lance Storm, I don't know how wise it is getting involved with the Ministry. Storm:  Mark, I am a Canadian.  I was born to wrestler and bred to win.  At Uncensored Owen Hart and Paul Wight, you are looking at one half of your opponents.  Madden:  Well that takes away half the mystery at Uncensored, lets go to Mean Gene. Mean:  Thanks Mark, I am here with Booker T and Jeff Jarrett.  Booker T, you and Jeff have had many battles in the past, are you sure you can trust him? Booker:  Gene, I don't trust anyone.  But tonight Jarrett and I are on a team. Jarrett:  Hello Jurassic slapnut.  You are right, we have had many battles, but tonight we are ready to face off against two of the biggest slapasses in the world. Booker:  Gene, don't hate the player---hate the game! Jarrett:  So choke on that slapnut! Mean:  That main event match is next. Jeff Jarrett and Booker T defeated The Ministry (Hulk Hogan and Vampiro) when Jarrett pinned Hogan after a backslide in 0:08:41. Rating: ** 1/4 This was more of a Texas tornado match really.  Vampiro still sporting the mask thanks to the flaming table match was the focus for Booker T while Jarrett and Hogan fought.  The end came when Vader come out.  Vader went to knock Vampiro out with a chair, but he moved and the chair it Hogan.  Jarrett then hit a backslide for the win.  We leave the air with Vader, Jarrett and Booker T ready for the attack from the Ministry.
