Nitro comes on the air with footage from Thunder last week.  We hear the announcement of the Wargames match.  We also see Sting become the number one contender for the World Title and Brian Christopher do the same for the Cruiserweight title.  We also hear the challenge by Owen Hart for Uncensored inviting ANY team to show up for their titles.  We then go to the back where a limo is pulling up.  Out steps Ric Flair and Lance Storm.

Flair:  Listen Lance, things didn't work out real well for us on Thunder.  Neither of us got the title shot, but tonight if you will be my partner we will get a title shot.

Storm:  I would be honored to team with you tonight.

Flair:  Good, that little nugget Owen Hart won't know what hit him, this will teach him to issue an open challenge.

We then go to the ring where Just Joe is locking up with Brian Christopher.

Just Joe pinned Brian Christopher with the Jumping DDT in 0:08:53.
Rating: * 1/4

This was a huge upset as Just Joe defeated Brian Christopher.  Brian dominated the match, but wouldn't pin Joe.  Finally from the back out ran Scott Taylor.  Taylor and Brian began to yell at each other.  This went on for about thirty second giving Joe time to recover.  Finally Taylor stopped and Christopher turned around right into a boot to the midsection followed by a Jumping DDT from Joe.  Joe made the cover and got the win.  Joe quickly left the ring and went to the back.  Brian Christopher however threw a fit in the ring.  From the crowd out came Jeff Jarrett guitar and all.  He enters the ring and spins Brian around nailing him with the guitar.  He then grabs the mic.

Jarrett:  Hello all my little slapnuts, I am back.  Now onto business.  Undertaker, I have one more six string and it has your name on it.  So tonight I want your undead ass in the ring!

Jarrett throws the mic down and goes to the back.

After the break we see Scott Steiner in the ring.

Steiner:  How are all my freaks tonight?  Tonight the Big Bad Booty Daddy is going to open a challenge to any former TV Champion to come out here and get an ass kicking at the hands of the Genetic Freak.

Fit Finlay's music plays as he comes to ringside.

Finlay:  Listen here sunshine, you best watch what you ask for cause you might just get it.  Have the tart over there shine up the belt during the match cause it's coming back to me.

Scott Steiner pinned Fit Finlay after hitting him with a foreign object in
0:08:57.
Rating: *** 3/4
(Scott Steiner retained the WCW TV Title.)

Midajah took offense to being called a tart and she made the difference in this match.  This was about as stiff as we have seen here in WCW.  Neither man wanted to back up in this match. The end came when Finlay argued with the official about a slow count.  Midajah threw Scotty his trust lead pipe.  She then got on the apron distracting the official.  Finlay turned around right into a shot from the pipe.  The official then made the three count giving Steiner the win.  After the break we see that Ray Traylor is in the ring.

Traylor:  It's been a while since I was out here, and I don't know why.  I took Bret Hart to the limit and I haven't got any respect for it.  I fought the Ministry and haven't got any respect for it.  Not from the fans or the boys in the back.  Well no more mister nice guy.  Tonight I want a fight, so about one of you tough guys come down here.

From the back out comes the US Champion Vader.

Vader:  Boy, you are about to find out what kind of power I have.  You want a fight, I will give you a fight.  Looks like you will be just one more victim of the Road Kill Tour!

Big Van Vader pinned Ray Traylor with the Vader Bomb in 0:06:06.
Rating: *
(Big Van Vader retained the WCW United States Title.)

Vader was right when he said Traylor would be another victim.  These two have had several matches in the past, and it showed here.  Both men seemed to know what the other would do.  The end came when Traylor tried for his Traylor Park Trash Sidewalk Slam.  Vader held onto Traylor and gave him a DDT.  Vader then gave him a Vader Bomb for the win.

The Undertaker pinned Jeff Jarrett with the Last Rites in 0:05:14.
Rating: ** 1/4

In Jeff Jarrett's return to action, he came up short against the Undertaker.  It wasn't because Jarrett couldn't handle him, it was because of the rest of Hollywood Hulk Hogan.  Hogan came out as Jarrett was about to give Taker the Stroke and distracted him.  This gave Taker time to recover.  He quickly gave Jarrett a chokeslam followed by the Last Rites.

The Ministry (Owen Hart and Paul Wight) defeated Lance Storm and Ric Flair when O. Hart made Flair submit to the Sharpshooter in 0:07:44.
Rating: ** 1/2
(The Ministry (Owen Hart and Paul Wight) retained the WCW Tag Team Titles.)

Owen Hart and Paul Wight defended their titles against two technically sound wrestlers in Storm and Flair.  Storm and Flair both worked on Show's legs, keeping him on the mat.  Finally when a tag was made to Owen things picked up.  The end came when Show gave Flair the Final Cut allowing Owen to lock in the Sharpshooter.  Storm tried to make the save but was cut off by Show.  Flair finally tapped out giving the champions yet another win.

We go to the back where the World Champion has just arrived.  Hollywood Hogan meets him.

Hogan:  About time you got here, you know you are very late.

Booker:  Listen my flight was delayed, I just got into town.

Hogan:  That's too bad Booker, because tonight you have a title defense against me.

Booker:  Well brotha, save the drama for your mama.  You bring your old ass to the ring and I will hand it right back to ya.

Little Guido Maritato pinned Lash LeRoux with the Kiss of Death in 0:05:33.
Rating: **

Little Guido returned to Nitro and got a big win here.  Lash LeRoux hasn't been able to get on track here in WCW since his debut over a month ago.  Guido won this one with the Kiss of Death

After the break the Boogie Knights and Jaime Knoble are in the ring.

Disqo:  I don't know why we are out here do you guys?

Both Alex and Jaime shake their heads.

Disqo:  Well then I guess someone should hit my music cause I know everyone came here to see the Disqo Inferno DANCE!!

His music plays for about two seconds when suddenly the arena goes black.  Spotlights hit the rampway and we see Mortis, Gangrel and Papa Shango coming to the ring.  Disqo quickly bails from the ring leaving Jaime and Alex to fight.

Boogie Knights and Jaime Knoble defeated The Ministry (Gangrel, Mortis and Papa Shango) when Disqo pinned Mortis after hitting him with a foreign object in 0:08:45.
Rating: *** 1/4

Alex Wright and Jaime Knoble have a great match against the Ministry.  Disqo stayed on the outside for most of the match.  The end came during a five-person brawl.  Disqo grabbed Papa Shango's voodoo stick and clocks Mortis with it.  Disqo makes the cover and gets the win.  He leaves the ringside area leaving Knoble and Wright to the wolves.  They both get destroyed as we go to break.

Vampiro pinned Rhino with the Nail In the Coffin in 0:06:08.
Rating: ** 1/4

Vampiro comes out with his protective mask on and is attacked by Rhino as he enters the ring.  Rhino tries his damndest to put Vamp away, but he just wouldn't stay down.  Finally out of desperation Rhino brought a table into the ring.  He attempted to gore Vamp through it, but Vamp moved and Rhino went through the table.  Rhino then stumbled into the Nail in the Coffin for the pinfall.

After the break we see William Regal in the ring.

Regal:  Hello all my American Friends, it is I, William Regal.  It has been some time since I last addressed you my adoring public so I thought I would do so now.  On Thunder I was defeated by a legend in this sport Bret Hart.  Now while there is no shame in losing, there is when I was besmirched in the process.  Now I had that bloody Canadian dead to rights in the ring when that bearded goof Jim Neidhart interfered.  Now while I am not one to complain, where is the justice in that?  I am urging, nay demanding that Hollywood Hogan come out here and explain to me why this was not address yet.

Voodoo Child plays as Hollywood Hogan comes to the ring.

Hogan:  Listen Willie, I don't have time for this right now.  I have a World Title match to prepare for.

Regal:  Well perhaps you will have time for this you bloody American.  I have beaten the best in the world and yet I wasn't included in your contenders match on Thunder.  If that painted up goof Sting was in the ring right now I would give him a thrashing he wouldn't soon forget.  Now how about your make yourself useful there Hogan and go back and get Booker T.  Tell him that you changed your mind and are giving him a real match against a real competitor.

Hogan:  Regal, I will go to the back, and I want you to stay right in this ring.  Don't move now.

Regal:  Of course I am not going to move you bloody fool, I am about to become the World Champion.

Hogan leaves the ring.

Regal: You know all of you fans can learn something from this.  The commissioner has just realized that he made a mistake not reverse the decision on Thunder and is doing the right thing in correcting it.  Oh here he comes now.  Well where is the champ?

Hogan:  Well after thinking about it I decided to give you your first request.

Regal:  And just what would that be?

Hogan:  Just look up.

Regal looks up and sees Sting lowering from the rafters and we have our next match.

Sting pinned William Regal with the Scorpion Death Drop in 0:16:21.
Rating: ****

In a pay per view caliber match, William Regal really stepped up to the plate in this one.  As Sting unhooked himself Regal backhanded the Stinger.  Sting responded with a series of chops and backhands of his own.  Sting then went to work on Regal's legs.  Sting was about to lock in the Scorpion Death Lock when Booker T appeared on the ramp way distracting him.  Regal took advantage and went on the offense.  Regal hit a butterfly suplex that was picture perfect.  Regal then made his mistake, he went to the top rope.  Sting threw him off and whipped Regal into the corner.  He then gave him a Stinger Splash followed by the Scorpion Death Drop for the win.

The Hart Foundation defeated Demolition when B. Hart pinned Smash after the Hart Attack in 0:10:24.
Rating: ** 1/4

In our semi-main event Demolition faced off with the Hart Foundation.  This goes back to our last Pay Per View where these two teams faced off in a triple threat match. Both teams are once again looking for a chance at the champs.  The end came when the Ministry interfered.  Mortis came down and attacked Ax while he was on the outside.  Smash turned his attention that way, but was hit from behind by Neidhart.  Bret and Jim then quickly gave him the Hart Attack for the win.  We then go to break with footage of Booker T and Hogan coming to the ring.

Booker T pinned Hulk Hogan with the Book End in 0:09:27.
Rating: * 3/4
(Booker T retained the WCW World Title.)

In our main event Hogan nearly got his hands on the WCW title.  Early on it was all Booker T, but soon the Ministry made his way to the ringside area.  Booker got distracted by Sting giving Hogan the advantage.  Hogan gave Booker the big boot and from the back out came Team WCW.  We once again had a huge brawl at ringside.  From the outside Vampiro hit Booker in the back with a chair and Hogan gave him the Big Leg Drop.  The official however was outside the ring trying to break up the brawl.  From the crowd out came Jeff Jarrett who nails Hogan with a guitar shot.  Booker T recovers and gives Hogan the Book End.  The official slides back in and makes the three count.  All over the arena we have brawls as we leave the air.
