Nitro comes on the air with footage from last night's Uncensored. We see Alex Wright being helped to the back after the Wargames match. We see Spike Dudley come to the aid of Lance Storm and win the tag team titles. Footage of a bloody Ric Flair being saved by Lance Storm, Jeff Jarrett and Arn Anderson. We also see Sting's horrendous fall from the top of the ladder to the floor. We then go to the announce table. Hudson: Welcome to Nitro everyone. I am Scott Hudson along side Gene Bennett for another exciting edition of Nitro! Bennett: That's right Scott---- The lights suddenly go out and the Ministry comes to the ring. Taker: Hogan, you have failed me once again. Hogan: Hold it right there Dead Man. I wasn't in the main event, that painted up goof right there was. Hogan points to Sting who is standing in the corner. Hogan: I can't help it if he didn't get the job done. I practically set him up for a win and he blew it. Taker: Sting, you did blow the match. You must pay for that. Sting: Hold it. I have taken about all the abuse I am going to from you. Taker: Are you defying me? Sting: I am sick of playing second fiddle to you and this bearded goof. Sting tries to leave the ring but Papa Shango and Gangrel step in his way. Taker: Sting, you best re-consider your choice. No one quits the Ministry. Sting: Oh yeah? WELL IT'S SHOWTIME! Sting punches the Undertaker and then attacks Mortis, but the rest of the Ministry is soon upon him. They beat Sting down and then tie him into the ropes. Taker: Like I said Sting, no one leaves the Ministry. YOUR SOUL IS MINE! The lights then start to flicker and then go out completely. They come up and we see that Sting is in the rafters. He points his bat down at the Undertaker. The Undertaker just stares up at him. Bennett: I think the Ministry is beginning to crack Scott. Hudson: Yeah, but what will that do to them as a group? Will the loss of Sting and the disappearance of Vampiro hurt or helps them? Bennett: Only time will tell. After the break we will see Just Joe take on Brian Christopher.
Brian Christopher pinned Just Joe with the Tennessee
Jam in 0:02:11. This match was short and sweet. Joe didn't get much offense in this match. Brian hit a brainbuster followed by the Tennessee Jam for the win. After the break we see Ray Traylor in the ring. Traylor: Last night I beat up one of the best toughest men in WCW and it didn't take me long. That punk is still serving HARDTIME! Tonight I challenge anyone from the back to come out here and find out what HARDTIME IS ALL ABOUT! Steve Blackman's music plays as he charges the ring.
Ray Traylor pinned Steve Blackman with the Traylor
Park Trash in 0:03:45. In another short hard-hitting match, Ray Traylor picked up the win. After the match Traylor tried to handcuff Blackman to the ropes, but he got to his kendo stick and the two had a stand off before Ray retreated to the back. We then go to the back where we see Ric Flair in his office with Jeff Jarrett, Lance Storm, Spike Dudley and Arn Anderson. Flair: I want to start off by thanking all of you for last night. I am banged up but had you not helped me I might not be here today. Now we all saw what happened in the ring involving the Ministry. Tonight is the night to strike. Spike, Lance, tonight we team up against the Undertaker, Owen and The Big Show. Also Jeff, we don't need some psycho holding the TV title so I want you to take that title off Rhino. Guys, tonight we begin the destruction of the Ministry.
Tony Mamaluke pinned Jaime Knoble after the
springboard DDT in 0:02:44. The number one contender to the cruiserweight title came out with the entire FBI. Jaime Knoble was trying to prove that he deserves another shot at the title as he and Tony Mamaluke had a fast match. The end came when Tony hit a springboard DDT and Little Guido held Jaime's feet giving Tony the win. We then go back to Ric Flair's office. We see Ric working on paper work when suddenly Scott Steiner kicks the door in. Steiner: WHAT IS THE DEAL WITH YOU GIVING JARRETT THE TV TITLE MATCH? I WANT A TITLE MATCH TONIGHT! Flair: Listen Scott, this isn't the way we do things here. All you have to do is ask. Tonight you get Vader and a shot at the US Title. Now please Scott, get ready and let me get back to work.
Rhino and Jeff Jarrett battled to a double countout in 0:05:38. Jeff Jarrett failed to defeat Rhino, but Rhino didn't beat him either. This battle went back and forth in the ring. It soon however went to the floor and Rhino was taking over. Rhino then gored Jarrett on the ramp way. Rhino then continued to put the boots to Jarrett as the official counted both men out. Rhino continued to attack Jarrett and was about to give him a Piledriver on the ramp way when Arn Anderson armed with a tire iron chased him off.
Non-Title-Match: The Cruiserweight champion took on a member of the FBI in Johnny the Bull. This match was back and forth. Johnny went for his corkscrew Legdrop but Scotty moved. Scotty then hit a flying senton followed by the Worm for the win. The entire FBI then entered the ring and attacked Scotty. This brought out Jaime Knoble from the back who made the save with a chair.
The Hart Foundation defeated Fit Finlay and William
Regal when B. Hart pinned Finlay after the Hart Attack in 0:06:33. Fresh of William Regal's win over Bret Hart in the Towel Match at Uncensored Bret got payback with a victory over Finlay and Regal in a tag team match. Regal worked over Hart's back early but it was Regal and Finlay's mistiming that cost them the match. Regal and Finlay ran into each other setting up the Hart Attack on Finlay. After the match Regal and Finlay argued as they went to the back.
Disqo took on former TV Champion Little Guido for a chance at Rhino on Thunder. Disqo looked good through the match, but was distracted by Tony Mamaluke on the outside. This set up the Kiss of Death and the win by the FBI.
Big Van Vader pinned Scott Steiner with the Vader Bomb
in 0:07:12. Big Van Vader and Scott Steiner was a real slobberknocker. Vader and Steiner exchanged rights and lefts several times through the match. Vader hit his moonsault but somehow Steiner kicked out. Steiner then hit a Frankensteiner but someone Vader kicked out. The end came when Rhino came out and hit Steiner in the back with a chair setting up the Vader Bomb. Rhino came in and attacked Steiner after the match. Vader then spun Rhino around and those two monsters came to blows. Officials ran from the back and separated the TV and US Champs.
The Ministry (Owen Hart, Paul Wight and The
Undertaker) defeated The main event was a good match between these six men. Spike Dudley hit the Acid Drop once again on Paul Wight, but somehow he kicked out tonight. Owen moments later locked in the Sharpshooter on Storm which was broken up by Flair. The end came when Flair was about to lock Owen in the Figure Four. Taker came in with a big boot. On Last Rites later and the Ministry got the win. Spike and Lance pulled Flair out before any more damage could be done. Taker and company celebrated in the ring the lights suddenly went out. A spotlight hit the rafters and we see Sting looking down. He points the bat at The Undertaker as we leave the air. |
