Dark Match:
Worldwide Taping:
Pro Taping: Thunder started off with footage from the main event on Nitro. We see the carnage that Vader left in the ring. We then go to the CEO's office. Flair: Hello everyone, I am your CEO Ric Flair. Tonight I have booked what will hopefully be a great show here. Big Van Vader will be facing Jeff Jarrett tonight with the US title on the line. Also I am going to be giving Spike Dudley a chance to get some revenge on Rhino. All that and much more. Lets go to the ring for our first match.
Hardcore Match: Our first match was a hardcore match between the winner of the two hardcore matches on Nitro. Finlay and Traylor really beat the hell out of each other and the end came when Finlay charged Traylor and got hit with his Traylor Park Trash Sideslam. We then go to the back where Disqo and Alex are outside of someone's locker room. Alex: I don't know Disqo. Disqo: Trust me, just let me do the talking. Disqo and Wright walk in and there sits Steve Blackman. Blackman: What do you two want? Disqo: Listen Steve, tonight we have been booked in a six man tag match but our partner isn't here. We need a partner and we thought of you. Blackman: What's in it for me? Disqo: Well you will be in the ring against the Ministry. Blackman: Ok, you got a deal, but if you screw this I am going to go hurt you. Disqo: No problem, you can trust us. Disqo and Alex leave. Alex: What have you gotten me into this time? Disqo: Trust me.
Scott Taylor pinned Little Guido Maritato after a crossbody in 0:08:48. Scott Taylor defended his title against Little Guido after the tag match on Monday. Guido seemed to have everything in hand as he was setting up for the Kiss of Death. From the back out ran Guido partner on Monday Brian Christopher who nails Guido with a chair. Scotty then gives Guido a crossbody for the win.
The Ministry (Gangrel, Mortis and Papa Shango) defeated The Boogie Knights and Steve Blackman didn't jell well as a team. The Knights stayed on the apron most of the match trying to stay out of Steve's way. The end came when Disqo got a face full of blood from Gangrel. He bumped into Blackman and gave him the Last Dance. This allowed Shango to throw him out and give Blackman the Shoulderbreaker for the win. After the break we see William Regal in the ring. Regal: Hello all my American friends. It is I William Regal. Tonight I am out here to issue a challenge to a man in the back. That challenge is to a submission match. Owen Hart, I want a little warm up for you brother so get out here sunshine. Owen Hart comes out with a mic. Owen: Listen you British jackass. I am sure you can beat my rotten big brother I have no doubt. But if you want me how about we make it interesting. Lets make this a submission match. Regal: Ok you little toe rag, you got it. You and me in a submission match, now get in here. The Hart Foundation's music plays as Bret makes his way out. Bret: Hold it right there you two. Regal you want to attack my family? You want to try and hurt my friends? And you Owen, you want to attack me from behind? You want to run around with scum like Hulk Hogan and the Undertaker? Well you two might as well get ready, because this is going to be a three way dance. Bret charges the ring and the match is on.
William Regal won a Submission Three Way Dance: In a great match between three men that really don't like each other. Owen and Regal worked on Bret early, but Owen turned on Regal. It was then Regal and Bret working on Owen, but Regal turned on Bret. The first elimination came when Regal gave Owen a jumping cross arm neckbreaker setting up the Sharpshooter. Owen quickly tapped out. Bret then turned to Regal thinking Owen was leaving. Owen however decided to give his brother an enziguri knocking him out. Regal then locked in the Regal Stretch. The official had no choice but to call for the bell and give Regal the match.
Mikey Whipwreck pinned Masato Tanaka with the Whippersnapper in 0:05:59. Masato Tanaka had this match won and he dominated Mikey Whipwreck. He however fell victim to this new Ray Traylor. Tanaka was setting up for Diamond Dust when Traylor attacked him with the nightstick. This gave Mikey time to recover and hit the Whippersnapper and get the win. We then go to the back where Mean Gene is with the Mamalukes. Mean: Mamalukes, it seems that the Ministry stabbed you in the back on Nitro. You were expecting to perhaps be part of the group but found yourselves on the cut list. Tony: Very funny Gene. Cut list, you area a riot. Vito: Gene, shut your mouth for once. Tonight we are challenging any of those Ministry punks to come down and fight us. We don't care who you are. We got the biggest grapefruit in this company and we ain't scared of no one. Mean: A challenge to the Ministry for later tonight. After the break Spike Dudley will get a shot at Rhino.
Rhino pinned Spike Dudley with the Piledriver in 0:03:47. Spike Dudley has faced Rhino before and was ready for the power of this match. This came about after Rhino cost Spike his match with Scott Steiner on Nitro. Spike nearly won the match but somehow Rhino kicked out of the Acid Drop. Spike tried for a second one but Rhino tosses him off over the top rope through a table. Rhino then rolled him into the ring and gave him a Piledriver for the win.
The Ministry (Hulk Hogan and The Undertaker) defeated The Mamalukes
when Hogan pinned Vito after a clothesline in 0:05:47. This was not a pretty match as Hogan and Undertaker answered the Mamalukes challenge. It was short however as Hogan got the win after a clothesline in the corner. The news coming out this match was after it when Paul Wight attacked the Mamalukes and Tony. He dominated the men. Hogan then grabbed the mic. Hogan: Big man, you kicked some major ass there. But you know there is one ass left to kick. That ass is yours Booker T. Tonight you get this man here in the ring for your title!
Sting pinned Ric Flair with the Scorpion Death Drop in 0:07:19. Ric Flair and Sting continued on the streak of good matches here as they faced off again. Sting was on his game in this one and showed it. Flair did manage to lock in the Figure Four early but Sting got out. Moments later Sting hit the Stinger Splash and the Scorpion Death Drop for the win.
Scott Steiner made Lance Storm submit to the Steiner Recliner in 0:07:41. Lance Storm was the next victim of Scott Steiner. Storm got this shot after his tough match with Rhino on Nitro. Rhino once again showed up during a Scott Steiner match and attacked his opponent. This setup the Steiner Recliner and the win.
Big Van Vader pinned Jeff Jarrett after a moonsault in 0:04:55. The Road Kill Tour continued as Jeff Jarrett got a chance at the US Title after Vader attacked him on Nitro. Jarrett didn't get much offense in at all. The end came when Vader unleashed the moonsault and got the win. After the match Vampiro appeared on the big screen. He pointed at the ring and laughed as the ring ropes burst into flames as we went to break.
Booker T pinned Paul Wight after a swinging neckbreaker in 0:03:23. Booker T got a big win with help from Lance Storm in this match. As the match started Storm came out with his ribs taped after being gored by Rhino early. Storm distracted Wight enough for Booker T to hit a swinging neckbreaker. Storm then held Wight's legs and Booker T won the match. Booker T and Storm then escaped through the crowd before the Ministry could attack. |
