Thunder comes on the air with footage from Nitro. We see Spike Dudley lose his match after Billy Kidman hit him with a guitar by accident. We also see Fit Finlay win a triangle match against Brian Christopher and Scott Taylor. Also we see 'The Big Show' Paul Wight debut with WCW by chokeslamming CEO Gene Bennett. Also Rhino and Scott Steiner sent the tag team champions to the hospital. We then go to Hulk Hogan's office. Hogan: Hello everyone, this is usually where that fat son of a bitch Gene Bennett comes out and talks about justice. Well his fat ass is sitting in the hospital. So I am going to book tonight's show. We are going to see the Ministry take on Booker T, Chris Kanyon, Big Vito, and anyone they can find in a Sin preview. Also two four way dances between the teams of Lo Down, F.B.I, Kronik and Rection and Traylor. Suddenly Owen Hart charges into Hogan's office. Owen: Hogan, I don't want to wait until Sunday for a title shot, I want one tonight. I have beaten everyone here in WCW, and I want my shot. Hogan: Ok Owen, you go it. Tonight you go one on one with Jeff Jarrett. Owen leaves and we see Mike Awesome come from another room connected to the office. Hogan: Mike, you know what to do.
Awesome shakes his head and leaves the room.
We then go to the ring for our first four-way dance.
No-Countout-No-DQ-4-Man Battle Royal: In a smash mouth match up, Little Guido got the win with the help of Big Sal. Guido hit both Rection and Brian Adams with the Kiss of Death, while Adams nearly drove Chaz through the mat. Sal managed to hit Adams in the back, which is what setup the Kiss of Death for Guido. We go to break with Guido and Sal celebrating. After the break we see Big Vito arrive at the building and Mark Madden approaches him. Mark: Vito, Hollywood Hogan just signed a huge eight man tag for tonight, and you, Kanyon and Booker need to find a partner. Vito: Is that right fatty? Well it just so happens that I brought a man that would be glad to team with me and my crew. From the car out steps Vito's former partner, Johnny the Bull. Mark Madden: Does this mean the Mamalukes are back in WCW? Vito: What do you think fatty? Bull: Get out of the way fatty.
We then go to the ring where the second of the
four way dances are going on.
No-Countout-No-DQ-4-Man Battle Royal: In Kronik fashion, Bryan Clark dominated this match up. Early on Traylor hit the Traylor Park Trash by catching D-Lo in a flying clothesline attempt. Moments later Clark hit Mamaluke with the Meltdown and got the win. Traylor and Clark then exchanged rights. Traylor went for a big boot, but Clark slid under it and kicked Traylor in the midsection as he turn around. He then hit a short clothesline for the win. We then go to the back were Hollywood is talking with Paul Wight. Hogan: Listen brotha, tonight I got a tough match for you, do you think you can handle it? Wight: What ever you give me I will take care of. We go to break with Hogan and Wight laughing. After the break we see Just Joe and Barry Horowitz in the ring. Joe: Barry, what are we doing in the ring? Barry: I got a call last night from the Commish to appear here tonight. I think he is going to give us the big push. Voodoo child plays as Hogan comes out. Hogan: Barry, you are right, I am going to give you the big push!
With that The Big Show's music plays as Wight
comes to the ring.
Handicap-Match: In a complete showing of Show's size and agility, Horowitz and Joe didn't stand a chance. Show hit a missile dropkick on both men. Moments later Show hit Horowitz with a Showstopper Chokeslam ending this match. As Hogan and Show celebrate the CEO's music plays. We then see Gene Bennett on Thundervision from the hospital. Gene: Hogan, that was a big surprise Monday night. But I have a big surprise for you at Sin. Sin is going to be the day where sins are cleared from people's souls before the Millennium begins. So your man, Big Show will face my man, who you won't know until the match Sunday. Hogan, I promise you this, your career will come back to haunt you.
We go to break with Hogan and Show looking confused.
After the break we see footage of Billy Kidman missing Jeff Jarrett
and hitting Spike Dudley on Monday night. We then go to the
ring where Kidman and Rikishi are locking up.
Billy Kidman and Rikishi battled to a double countout in 0:02:56. In a short match up, Spike Dudley comes out with Kidman in a show of friendship. Early on both men fought on the outside and Rikishi kicked Spike in the face. Spike grabbed a chair and swung at Rikishi, who moved and Spike hit Kidman. As Rikishi tried to get into the ring and Spike distracted the ring, Scott Taylor comes out, hits Rikishi with a bulldog and the Worm. The official, Scott James, had no choice but to count both men out. We go to break with Spike trying to help Kidman.
After the break we see footage of Steiner and
Rhino destroying the tag team champions. We then go to the ring
where Steiner and Rhino are facing the newly formed team of Lance
Storm and Scott Taylor.
Scott Steiner and Rhino defeated Lance Storm and Scott Taylor when S.
Steiner pinned L. Storm after a tiger driver in 0:04:35. Lance Storm and Scott Taylor teamed up for the first time, and it showed. They had little teamwork as Steiner and Rhino dominated both men. Storm and Taylor did hit a double dropkick on Rhino and went for one on Steiner, but Steiner moved. Rhino re-entered the ring and gored Taylor while Steiner hit a tiger driver on Storm and got the win. Steiner then locked Storm in the Steiner Recliner, while Taylor got put through a table by Rhino as he piledrove him off the apron through it. We go to break with carnage in the ring. After the break we see both Storm and Taylor getting checked out by the trainer. Fit Finlay and Rikishi then attack both men. Finlay Tombstoned Storm on the floor while Rikishi dropped the over four hundred pounds on Taylor's chest. EMT's and security rush in and separate them. We then go Mean Gene who is with Spike Dudley and Billy Kidman. Mean: Billy Kidman, it seems that your mistake came back and haunted you as Spike Dudley knocked you out moments ago. Kidman: Gene, that was nothing but a mistake, I am sure. Spike and I are good friends, and together we are going to the top of the tag team division. But Spike has bigger things to worry about then me, he has Mike Awesome tonight. Mean: Spike? Spike looks confused, and then waves at the camera. Kidman and Spike then leave.
Mean: That kid has slipped his gears.
Lets get to the ring.
Fit Finlay pinned Gangrel with the Tombstone Piledriver in 0:03:10. In a return match for the TV title, Gangrel had little offense in this match, and looked lost without the other Ministry members helping him. Finlay easily ended this match with the Tombstone. He then took the mic. Finlay: All of you American slobs sit down and shut up while I am talking. I have this TV title because I can take on anyone, anytime, in any kind of match. Sunday I have you Lance Storm, you are going to get the beating of a lifetime sunshine.
Finlay then throws the mic down and leaves as we
go to break. After the break we see footage of Johnny the Bull arriving.
We then go to the ring for eight-man tag team action.
The Ministry (Mikey Whipwreck, Papa Shango, Sting and The Undertaker)
defeated Booker T, Chris Kanyon and The Mamalukes when Undertaker
pinned Booker T with the Last Rites in 0:14:03. In what was better described as a fight, the Ministry came out on top but not without taking some damage. Basically it was Sting and Johnny the Bull, Mikey and Booker T, Kanyon and Taker, and Vito and Shango most of the match fighting through the ringside area. Vito and Shango, who face off at Sin, fought up onto the ramp and Gangrel attacked. This caused Johnny the Bull to go and attack Gangrel, leaving the Ministry a man ahead. In the ring Kanyon hit Taker with a Kanyon Cutter, but Sting broke it up and went for the Scorpion Death Drop. This brought out Bret Hart who we haven't seen for a week. Bret hits Sting in the back of the head with a ball bat. He then enters the ring and locks in the Sharpshooter. On the outside, Booker hits Mikey Whipwreck with the Book End and comes into the ring and makes the save for Kanyon after he took a Chokeslam from Taker. Booker charges at Taker, but takes a boot to the midsection. Taker then plants Booker with the Last Rites Power Bomb for the win. Taker then pulls Bret off Sting and kicks him into the midsection setting Hart up for the Last Rites, but Kanyon recovers and makes the save. He then Kanyon Cuts Taker as we go to break. After the break we see Mike Tenay with the Mamalukes. Tenay: Big Vito, you brought Johnny the Bull back to WCW tonight, and it seems that he is already in a war with the Ministry. Vito: Mike, the Mamalukes are back together again and we ain't taking no prisoners. Gangrel, you fat fang toothed bastard, you want to stick your nose where it ain't wanted, that's fine. Come Sunday, you bring your fat ass to the ring with that painted up goof Shango because the Mamalukes have a surprise for you. Bull: Vito, how about we go get a cheese sandwich? Vito: In a minute John. You two come down to the ring Sunday and we will have ourselves a hardcore tag team match. That is if you got the grapefruit. Tenay: A change for Sin, and a big one at that, now lets go to Scott Hudson who is with Bret Hart. Hudson: Bret Hart, you just attacked Sting after he did the same to you a week ago. Bret: I came back because I want to teach Sting what it is like to be a hero. I have made mistakes in my past and I wont' argue about that. But I am going to be the hero this company needs. Hudson: So what does that mean? Bret: That means I am going to lead the fight against the Ministry by taking out Sting at Sin. Sting, you have many sins to pay for, so at Sin, you and I in a submission match. Hudson: What about your brother Owen? You haven't said much about him. Bret: I wish Owen nothing but success. But sooner or later, he too will have to pay for his sins.
Hudson: A stern warning for The Hitman, lets
get to the ring for our next match.
Mike Awesome pinned Spike Dudley with the Awesome Bomb in 0:08:48. In a match up that pit the Giant Killer against a giant. Spike had this match going well until Billy Kidman came to ringside. Spike went for the Acid Drop but Awesome held him and just tossed him to the floor into Kidman. As Kidman and Spike got up, Awesome took fight with a plancha over the top rope. Spike would have been clear of this attack, but Kidman pulled him into Awesome. Awesome then tossed Spike back into the ring, hit the Awesome Bomb and got the win. We go to break with Awesome laughing at the injured Spike Dudley. After the break we see Mean Gene with Kidman and Spike again. Mean: Kidman, it seems to me you just cost this man a match. Spike: WHAT IN THE HELL WERE YOU DOING?? Kidman: I am sorry, I don't know, I messed up. Spike: DAMN RIGHT YOU MESSED UP. Kidman: Don't start yelling at me, you did the same to me early tonight. Spike: SHUT THE HELL UP! Kidman: Why don't you make me? The two men get into each other faces and security pulls them apart. Then Hollywood Hogan walks up. Hogan: Well it seems we have yet another match for Sin. Billy Kidman and Spike Dudley one on one brotha.
Mean: Sin Sunday is going to be one show you
don't want to miss. Lets get to the ring for our main event.
Owen Hart pinned Jeff Jarrett after outside interference in 0:09:17. In a match that had interference left and right, it was pretty good. Early on Mike Awesome came to ringside and went right after Owen. Owen however fought back and was able to knock Awesome down an enziguri. Back in the ring, Owen hit a missile dropkick and went for the Sharpshooter, but Jarrett kicked him off right into the ref knocking Mark Johnson out. Jarrett and Awesome then went to work on Owen double teaming him. Jarrett gave him the Stroke followed by an Awesome Frogsplash. This brought out from the back Masato Tanaka. He returns after being thrown off the top of the triple cage weeks ago. Tanaka comes in and gives Awesome three chair shots followed by a lariat that knocks him from the ring. Jarrett spins him around, and takes the Roaring Elbow right in the jaw. Tanaka then pulls Owen on top of Jarrett. Johnson slowly makes the three count and we have a new World Champion. We leave the air with Owen celebrating with his newly own World Title. |
