Nitro comes on the air with our first match already in the ring.  It is the TV champion William Regal taking on Disqo.

Disqo coming off a loss to Booker T had a good showing here.  Disqo is a former champion and wanted it back.  He did hit the Last Dance but Regal was too close to the ropes.  During the match we see Lance Storm watching from the entranceway.  In the ring Disqo went for a piledriver but Regal countered with a backdrop.  Regal then hit a series of forearm's and knee lifts.  Regal finally was able to hit the Cobra Neckbreaker for the win.

William Regal pinned Disqo with the Cobra Neckbreaker in 0:08:14.

Hudson:  Welcome to Nitro everyone.  What a night we have planned for you.

Styles:  Before we do that we have had a shake up at the top of the company.  Our commissioner has been fired.  Now our owner Paul Heyman will be handling all the duties, which isn't a good thing for WCW.

Hudson:  No it isn't but having worked for WCW for a while it is something we have become accustom to.  Tonight we have two major announcements for our next Pay Per View, Halloween Havoc, which will be held on October 28th.  In the main event our World Champion Rhino will take on Goldberg.

Styles:  Also our US Champion Jeff Jarrett will take on the newest member of ECW, Owen Hart.

Hudson:  Tonight we have a big main event as Shane Douglas teams with Rhino to take on Sting and Goldberg.  Also the Cruiserweight Champion Lance Storm takes on former champion Jaime Knoble.

Styles:  The US Champion Jeff Jarrett will take on Spike Dudley, the Tag Team Champions take on the Shooters and in a rematch from Thunder Curt Hennig and Lex Luger go one on one.

Hudson:  When we return it will be No Laughing Matter taking on the Andersons in tag team action.

No Laughing Matter got another win, this time over the Andersons.  Arn and C.W. didn't have a lot of teamwork and seemed to argue a lot throughout the match.  Finally DeMott hit the Moonsault on Arn for the win.

No Laughing Matter defeated The Andersons when DeMott pinned A. Anderson after a Moonsault in 0:06:39.

After the match C.W. helped Arn to his feet only to nail him with a DDT.  C.W. then gave Arn a Spinebuster before leaving.

In the back we see Curt Hennig arriving at the building in a limo.  He is in an all black suit and dark sunglasses.  He heads into the building but the limo stays there.

Hudson:  A new look for Curt.

Styles:  Last week here on Nitro he told us things were going to change but I thought he meant more then his attire.

Hudson:  When we return it will be Spike Dudley and Jeff Jarrett.

Jeff Jarrett retained his title in a quick match with Spike Dudley.  Spike went for the Acid Drop too quickly and Jarrett countered with a back suplex.  Moments later Jarrett hit the Stroke for the win.

Jeff Jarrett pinned Spike Dudley with the Stroke in 0:03:59.

Jarrett:  Owen Hart, you little nugget, in 13 days I am going to finish your slapass off.  I remember carrying your ass in the WWF and now I am going to kick it here in WCW.  So choke on that slappy.

From the crowd comes Scott Hall.  Hall spins Jeff Jarrett around and hits a series of right hands.  Hall then gives Jarrett a huge lariat sending him over the top.  Hall then picks up the mic.

Hall:  HEY YO!  Say hello----TO THE BAD GUY!  Now I know you are wondering why I am here Jeff.  Jeff do you remember when I was here last time?  Do you remember the way Vince Russo screwed me over and you sat back there and allowed it?  The way you allowed WCW to screw me over?  Well I am here for one reason----REVENGE!

Hall takes off his T-Shirt to reveal an ECW shirt.  We go to break with a stunned Jeff Jarrett backing off.

The Misfit Animals made short work of the Shooters when Lash LeRoux hit the Whiplash 2000 out of nowhere for the win.  After the match the Dudley Boys and Spike hit the ring and attacked all four men.  Both Lash and Rey were put through tables.  The Dudley's then focused on the Shooters when someone jumped over the barrier.  It is Dan 'The Beast' Severn.  Spike charges Dan only to get suplexed over the top rope.  D-Von charged and takes a drop toehold.  Buh Buh hits a series of rights and D-Von re-enters and they signal for 3D but D-Von is taken down but Shamrock and locked into the Ankle Lock.  Buh Buh gets attacked by Severn and locked into a Dragon Sleeper Body Scissors.  Spike comes into the ring only to get tripped by Blackman and locked into a Cross Arm Breaker.  All three Dudley's are in the ring tapping out.  On the outside Lash and Rey watch with a smile on their faces.  Finally the Shooters and Severn release their holds.  The three men shake hands and head to the back.

After the break we see Terry Taylor trying to catch up with The Shooters.

Taylor:  Ken, Ken can we get a few words with you.

Shamrock:  Sure Terry.

Taylor:  Ken, did you know that The Beast was here tonight?

Shamrock:  No but I have to say I am glad he was.  We have all had a rocky relationship but we all respect each other.  So Dudley's, on Thunder we will see you in six man tag team action.  So knuckle up.

Taylor:  Let's go to the ring where we will find out will face Ray Traylor at the Halloween Havoc as Balls Mahoney is facing Big Vito.

Balls Mahoney got the win in this Hardcore battle with help from his ECW friends in Shane Douglas and Chris Candido.  Vito was in charge when the two attacked him.  Vito tried to fight them off but it was too much for him.  Douglas and Candido hit a double flapjack followed by a Rocket Launcher.  Balls then hit the Nutcracker Suite for the win.  After the match Douglas took the mic.

Douglas:  Looks like you just got your ass FRANCHISED once again Vito.

The three men then leave Vito laying.  We then go to the back where Mike Tenay is with Curt Hennig.

Tenay:  Curt, you have had quite a change in your appearance but tonight you face a man you robbed of victory on Thunder Lex Luger.

Hennig:  Mr. Tenay, tonight WCW and ECW will see a great change.  Tonight they will see something big.  As for Mr. Luger, he was just in the wrong place at the wrong time.

Tenay:  Up next, Curt Hennig and Lex Luger.

Curt Hennig got the win in this match with some help.  Curt came out still in his suit.  Before the match he took the suit coat off and hung it on the ring post.  Luger really dominated the match.  Several minutes into the match we go to the back and see the limo door open.  We then see to pair of shoes heading toward the ring.  Luger hit a powerslam and was about to lock in the Rack when the two men entered the arena.  They were dressed just like Curt was in all black suits.  They came toward the ring distracting Luger.  Luger finally turned right into a low blow and Hennig then hit the Hennig Plex for the win.  The two men entered the ring.  One hit a vicious Powerbomb and the other picked Luger up and gave him a Reverse Neckbreaker.  Hennig then took the mic.

Hennig:  Allow me to introduce you to my friends.  You all know them---Scott Norton and Rick Rude!

The men take their glasses off and all shake hands.

Hennig:  These men were there for me when I was growing up.  If someone messed with me in school they messed with us.  You are looking at the Minnesota Mafia boys.  And Lex, you were in the wrong place at the wrong time.

Curt Hennig pinned Lex Luger with the Hennig Plex in 0:10:17.

After the match we once again see a locker room with a gold star on it.

Female Voice Over:  A star is returning to WCW.  THE STAR IS RETURNING TO WCW!  Prepare to be blinded by the brightest STAR EVER!  HE IS COMING!

Hudson:  What in the hell is that all about?

Styles:  Isn't it obvious Scott, a star is coming.

Hudson:  Joey, you have a sick sense of humor you know that?  Let's go to the ring and our main event.

Sting and Goldberg got the win in our main event.  This was a wild match that went all over the building.  Early on Douglas had Goldberg down with a series of forearms and slams.  Goldberg made the tag and Sting was a house of fire.  Sting worked on both Douglas and Rhino.  Sting backed both men into opposite corners.  Sting hit Stinger Splashes on both men but when he went for a second on Rhino he was gored.  Rhino was about to lock it the Rhino Recliner when Goldberg nearly took his head off with a thrust kick.  Douglas meanwhile went for a suplex on Sting who flipped over him and hit the Scorpion Death Drop for the win.
