World Wide Taping: The Ministry (Gangrel and Papa Shango) defeated Just Joe and Barry Horowitz when Gangrel pinned Horowitz after a gutwrench suplex in 0:06:18. Rating: 1/2* The show starts off with footage from Thunder.  We see the Ministry once again running wild over WCW.  We then go to the announce table where Scott and Tony are. Scott:  Welcome to NITRO!  Tonight we have an action packed show.  In our main event, Mortis takes on Bret Hart.  Booker T will challenge the Lance Storm for the TV title and much more. Tony:  But first we have two Crusierweights going at it.  We are seeing all over the Internet that WCW might be bring that division back Scott. Scott:  Well we can only hope as that is an action packed division.  Lets go to the ring where Billy Kidman is facing Scott Taylor. Scott Taylor pinned Billy Kidman after a flying senton in 0:09:23. Rating: *** The two men start off and shake hands.  They lock up and tear the ring up.  They hit several armdrag exchanges and then shake again as the fans applaud.  Kidman however then hits a flying lariat as Taylor hyped the crowd.  Kidman then hit a spinebuster slam and went for the cover, but he kicked out.  Kidman went to the top, but Scotty crotched him.  Scotty then hit a top rope frankensteiner for a near fall.  Scotty then signalled for the Worm.  As he set it up Kidman rolled to the floor.  Scotty however hit a flying bodypress and rolled Kidman back into the ring.  Scotty went to the top and hit a flying senton and got the win.  After the match the two men once again exchanged hand shakes as we go to break.  After the break we see Paul Wight is with Mean Gene. Mean:  Paul, on Thunder it seemed that you and Hollywood tried to feed that Mastodon Vader to Rikishi, but Vader ran him over.  Wight:  Listen little man, don't you try to accuse us of trying to hurt Vader.  Now if he ends up hurt, that isn't our fault. Hollywood Hogan then appears. Mean:  Hollywood, what do you want? Hogan:  Listen, I am in charge around here.  So I wanted to announce a few matches.  First off I am going to give Rikishi a match tonight, against The Big Show.  Also Vader, you will face off with Owen Hart.  Vader, have a good match. Mean:  Seems that Hollywood is still trying to get Vader out of this company.  Back to you Scott. Scott:  Well two big matches for tonight Tony.   Tony:  It seems like Rikishi is being punished for not getting rid of Vader last Thursday.  Scott:  Well that is a possibility.  Well lets get to the ring for Tanaka against Spike Dudley. Masato Tanaka pinned Spike Dudley after a short lariat in 0:04:24. Rating: *** The match didn't last long, but it was exciting.  Both men hit high risk moves and Tanaka hit a frog splash to the floor and Spike hit a slingshot over the top as well.  The end was however a little disappointing.  Spike went for the Acid Drop but Tanaka flipped him over and then hit a short lariat and got the win.  After the match Tanaka celebrated, but Spike was upset.  He rolled to the floor and grabbed a chair.  He then attacked Tanaka with it.  Spike knocked him off the turnbuckle, and then hit the Acid Drop onto the chair.  We go to break with Spike stomping away on Tanaka.  We come back from break and see Mark Madden with Booker T. Madden:  Booker T, in just a few minutes you will be facing Lance Storm for the TV title.  The question is, if you can't beat Mikey Whipwreck what makes you think you can beat a Canadian like Lance?  Booker:  I am going to ignore your stupid question Mark.  Tonight I become the TV Champion, but I am not done with the Ministry however.  So Mikey, you watch what I do to Lance, because it's not over. Madden:  I have seen what the Ministry can do, and I would be careful what you say Booker. Booker:  Mark, just watch, and save the drama for your mama. Madden:  Back to you baldie. Scott:  Mark, if you don't keep that fat mouth shut I am going to-- Tony:  Scott, be a pro out here.   Scott:  Ok, up next is the TV title match, and Booker is already in the ring. Booker T pinned Lance Storm with the Book End in 0:09:36. Rating: ** 3/4 (Booker T won the WCW TV Title.) The match started off with several lock ups, and neither man winning.  Finally as they go for a fourth lockup, Storm hit a dropkick to the knee.  Storm then worked on the knee of Booker.  Storm got a two count with a springboard dropkick.  Booker made a comeback when Storm missed a flying elbow.  Booker hit a lariat, and then hit a dropkick, but jarred his knee.  Lance saw this as an opening and went for the Maple Leaf, but Booker kicked him off into the turnbuckle.  A stunned Storm turns around right into the Book End.  Booker makes the cover and gets the win.  As Booker celebrated Mikey Whipwreck, Mortis, Sting and the Undertaker attack Booker.  Lance tries to help, but is soon over powered.  Then from the back out comes the Mamalukes and Disqo.  The Ministry quickly leave the ring.  The Undertaker then takes the mic. Taker:  Vito and Johnny, you too just made a GRAVE mistake. Vito:  Is that so?  Well how about tonight you and that painted up freak next to you get in the ring with us?  Do you the grapefruit? Sting:  The only thing I have to say is that its--SHOWTIME! Johnny:  I am going to break your damn thumbs! We go to break with The Mamalukes and Disqo helping Storm and Booker up.  After the break we see footage of Rikishi losing to Vader on Thunder  We then go to the ring. Paul Wight pinned Rikishi with the Showstopper in 0:03:24. Rating: * In a match that was made to punish Rikishi, it did just that.  The Big Show didn't hold back a bit.  Rikishi did get in a few rights and hit a sidekick, but that was it.  Show hit the Final Cut followed by the Showstopper for the win.  This brought out Fit Finlay, but he didn't fair well as he took a chokeslam.  Then the tag team champions William Regal and Alex Wright came out, but got a double chokeslam.  We go to break with the entire Foreign Connection laid out.  After the break we go to the back where Pamela Paulshock is with Owen Hart.  Pam:  Owen, tonight it seems that Hollywood has signed you to face the Mastodon Vader.  Owen:  Well Hollywood did ask me to do him a favor, and if I succeed I would get a favor in return.  So I said sure and this is what I got.  Well I am not afraid of that monster Vader.  I AM THE KING OF HARTS!  WHOO! Pam:  Seems like Owen is very confident.  Back to you Scott. Scott:  Owen has something up his sleeve Tony. Tony:  That is certain.  But we have a match before that between two top tag teams.  Scott:  The big question is this, if The F.B.I win this match, are they going to go to Souled Out to face the tag champions? Tony:  Well we will worry about that if they beat the man monster Rhino and that psycho Scott Steiner. Rhino and Scott Steiner defeated The F.B.I when Rhino pinned L. Guido with the Piledriver in 0:12:32. Rating: ** 1/4 Rhino and Steiner were steamrollers in this match.  Guido and Mamaluke were able to continue in the match with the help of Sal E.  Guido and Mamaluke double teamed Steiner and even hit their finisher, the Spiked Kiss of Death.  However Rhino broke it up.  Mamaluke went to the top, but Steiner gave him a T-Bone from the top.  Guido came in but Rhino gave him a gore.  He then gave him a Piledriver and made the cover.  The official, Scott James, confused on who the legal man was counted the pinfall and gave the win to Steiner and Rhino.  After the break we see footage of Vader defeating defeating Rikishi last Thursday on Thunder.  We then go to the ring where Owen is awaiting Vader. Owen Hart pinned Big Van Vader after an enziguri in 0:12:26. Rating: ** 1/2 Owen meet Vader on the ramp with a dropkick through the smoke that Vader's helmet sprays.  Owen then attempted to lock in the Sharpshooter, but Vader kicks him off.  Vader then goes on the offense just punching Owen all the way back to the ring.  In the ring Vader continued the attack.  Vader hit a huge moonsault for a two count only because Owen got to the ropes.  During this match Hollywood Hogan comes to ringside.  Vader hits a lariat and signals for the Vader Bomb, but Hogan distracts him.  From the crowd comes Paul Wight, but the official cuts him off.  During this Hogan tries to hit Vader, but Vader blocks hit and knocks him off the apron.  Owen however hits an enziguri on Vader.  Owen makes the cover while Hogan holds Vader's leg.  The official, Billy Silverman makes the three count giving Owen the big victory.  Owen along with Hogan and Paul Wight leave the ring.  Vader then argues with Silverman, and then punches him.  Vader signals for the Powerbomb, and the crowd roars with approval.  Vader gives Silverman the powerbomb as we go to break.  After the break we see Owen along with Wight and Hogan in his locker room. Owen:  Ok Hogan, now your part of the deal. Hogan:  Ok Owen, but first congrats on the big win.  And as I promised you got a title match. Owen:  Great, so when do I face Awesome? Hogan:  Wait a second, I think you misunderstood what I said.  I said I would give you a title match, and I will.  You will be teaming with The Big Show here to face The Foreign Connection for their tag team titles on Thunder. Owen:  Ok, but just make sure he doesn't screw up, because I am the KING OF HARTS!  WHOO! We then go back to the arena. Scott:  Owen and Wight as a team?  That could be an unstoppable team Tony. Tony:  That is true, but you know deep down both men want the big belt.  Owen had a taste of it once, and Show did years ago.  Do you think these two can get along? Scott:  We will have to find out on Thunder.  Up next, we will see a tag match set up early. We then see footage of the Mamalukes making the save for Lance Storm and Booker T.  We then go to the ring. The Ministry (Sting and The Undertaker) defeated The Mamalukes when Sting pinned Johnny the Bull with the Scorpion Death Drop in 0:12:49. Rating: ** 1/4 The Undertaker and Sting pick up a win here in a tag team war.  Both teams showed great teamwork.  Early on Vito and Johnny hit a double hiptoss into a side suplex on Sting.  Johnny then hit his Flying Legdrop for a near fall.  Moments later Taker gave Vito a chokeslam, but Johnny broke it up.  Taker and Sting then hit a Spiked Last Rites Powerbomb, but again Johnny broke the pin up.  Johnny then knocked Taker over the top and gave Sting a big superkick.  This gave Vito time to make the tag.  Johnny came in like a house of fire knocking Taker out of the ring again and giving Sting a powerslam.  Johnny went to the top for another Flying Legdrop, but Taker tripped him sending him to the mat.  This gave Sting time to hit the Scorpion Death Drop for the win.  Sting wasn't done and was about to lock in the Scorpion Death Lock, but Vito gave him a Mafia Kick knocking him out of the ring.  Vito grabbed his stick ball bat and held the two men off as we go to break. After the break we see footage of Kronik breaking up last week on Nitro.  We also see Clark and Adams at each other's throat on Thunder.  We then go to the ring where Jeff Jarrett is making his entrance.  He then grabs the mic. Jarrett:  Listen up all of you little slapasses.  The Chosen One is in the ring.  Tonight I have to face one half of the former Kronik.  A muscle slapnut really.  So Bryan Clark, get your slapass out here so the Chosen One can finish you off. Jeff Jarrett pinned Bryan Clark with the Stroke in 0:07:32. Rating: ** 1/2 Bryan Clark come out with a purpose.  Clark hit a flying shoulderblock and lariat that takes Jarrett to the floor.  In the back we see Disqo watching on the monitor.  Brian Adams comes up and shoves Disqo out of the way.  Disqo jumps up and the two start to brawl.  In the ring Jarrett has taken over after a missed elbow by Clark.  Jarrett hits a big flying dropkick and a flying fistdrop for a near fall.  We then see that Disqo and Adams have fought out on the ramp.  In the ring Jarrett goes for the figure four, but Clark kicks him off into the turnbuckle.  Adams kicks Jarrett in the midsection and sets up the Meltdown.  He then sees that on the outside Brian Adams is working Disqo over with a chair.  Clark drops Jarrett and grabs Adams from inside the ring.  Adams then swings the chair backwards and nails Clark.  This gives Jarrett time to hit the Stroke and get the win.  Adams rolls in the ring and the two work of Clark until Disqo comes in.  Disqo knocks Jarrett down with a swinging neckbreaker.  Disqo kicks Adams in the gut and goes for the Last Dance, but Jarrett whips him out with the guitar.  We go to break with Disqo and Bryan Clark both out in the ring. After the break. Scott:  Disqo seems to have gotten wrapped up into this feud between Brian Adams and Bryan Clark by accident. Tony:  I think Disqo will have a bone to pick with Jeff Jarrett not Clark or Adams.  Scott:  Well we know that Bret Hart has said that he will end the Ministry if it's the last thing he does.  Up next in our main event, he faces one of the newest members in Mortis. Tony:  How long do you think Chris Kanyon will continue this? Scott:  He gave his word that if he lost at Sin, he would join, so until the Ministry is dead I guess.  Well he is in the ring, Mortis that is.  Before Bret comes to the ring, he is with Mean Gene. Mean:  Bret Hart, Mortis is the ring, how do you feel about this match? Bret:  After I beat Mortis I want to lay out a challenge.  That challenge is to you Mike Awesome.  I want to be the World Champion again, and that means going through you.  And the Hart Family owes you since you came in the back door and took the title from Owen.  That title belongs around the waist of a Hart.  Gene, they are calling for me.  Mike, think about it. Mean:  Bret is confident and laid out a big challenge to the champ Scott. Scott:  He sure did Gene.  I see Bret is coming to the ring, lets get to the action. Mortis pinned Bret Hart with the Flatliner in 0:09:40. Rating: **** Bret comes to the ring and Mortis attacks.  Mortis goes right to work on Bret's back with a backbreaker and then locks in a reverse Boston Crab.  Bret gets to the ropes.  Mortis then hits a back kick and a Samoan Drop from the middle rope.  Mortis tried a flying legdrop, but and Hart moved.  Hart then went on the offense.  Bret hit several lariat.  He then gave Mortis a backbreaker and an elbow from the second for a two count.  Bret then hit a dropkick, that sent Mortis right into the ref, Mickey Jay.  Bret gave Mortis a piledriver and then locked in the Sharpshooter.  From the crowd out came Mike Awesome.  Awesome nails Hart in the back of the head with the belt.  He then stands over him telling him if he wants some to come get some.  He then leaves the ring.  Mortis recovers, gives Bret the Flatliner and gets the win.  Mike Awesome then comes into the ring again.  He throws a table into the ring, and Mortis leaves with the Sinister Minister.  Awesome then gives Hart an Awesome Bomb through the table as we leave the air.
