Thunder comes on the air with footage of the brawl on Nitro. We then go to our first match of the night a six-man tag team match featuring the extreme team of RVD, Tommy Dreamer and the Sandman taking on Scotty Taylor, Lash LeRoux and Rey Jr.
This saw a little bit of everything. RVD and the opposing team of course used their high-flying skills. Dreamer used his brawling and ground skills while the Sandman used his usual hardcore style. The end came when out of nowhere really. Misterio missed a flying legdrop. RVD quickly hit his Five Star Frog Splash for the win. After the match all six men shared a beer with the Sandman.
Rob Van Dam, Tommy Dreamer and The Sandman defeated Scotty Taylor, Lash LeRoux and Rey Misterio Jr. when RVD pinned Misterio Jr. with the Five Star Frog Splash in 0:13:27.

In the back we see Vince in his office when there is a knock. Tazz then walks in.
McMahon: Ah Tazz nice of you to come.
Tazz: What do you want?
McMahon: Tazz I just wanted to inform you that I was very impressed with your match against Tony Mamaluke Monday night. So impressed that I am going to give you a title shot here tonight.
Tazz: So tonight I get to make Disqo just another victim?
McMahon: No it's not like that. Tonight you get to take on Raven and I want you to make sure that Raven is JUST ANOTHER VICTIM!
Tazz: Listen you think you can just give me a shot because you don't like the champion?
McMahon: I am giving you a title shot because I think you are one of the deadliest men in this company. If you don't want this shot I will give it to someone else.
Tazz: I will take it but I don't want any help. I will make a victim out of anyone who comes near the ring.
Tazz storms out of the room and we go to break.
After the break we see Hall taking on Waltman in a battle between former friends. This battle goes back and forth with Waltman getting quite a bit of offense in. From the back Nash comes out and distracted Waltman who is in the position for a moonsault. The distraction results in Hall getting the Outsiders Edge off and getting the win.

After the match Hall and Nash continue to beat on Waltman until Justin Credible hits the ring. He attacks Nash. Waltman dropkicks Hall from the ring and we have our next match.
Credible was able to pick up a huge upset with help from Waltman. Nash was setting up for a running boot when Waltman hooked his leg. This distraction allowed Credible to hit his Superkick for the win.

We then go to the back to the nWo locker room.
Jericho: How in the hell can the ref allow that?
Triple H: Nothing is new there Chris. The officials are always screwing us.
Michaels: So tonight we might need to take some insurance with us.
Shawn hands Jericho a pair of brass knuckles.
Jericho: Well I am going to wear down Benoit for Sunday. One of us will be walking out with that US Title.
We go to break with Jericho leaving the locker room.
Jericho picked up a big win going into Sunday's Royal Rumble. The match went back and forth action. Benoit hit his triple German Suplexs followed by his Flying Headbutt. Jericho somehow kicked out. Benoit went for a second Flying Headbutt but Jericho moved. Jericho quickly hit a Lionsault for a two count. Jericho went to the top and hit a missile dropkick which sent Benoit into the ref. With the ref down Jericho pulled out his 'insurance' and knocked Benoit out. Jericho then locked in the Walls of Jericho. The official came to, checked Benoit's arm and called for the bell. After the match Shawn Michaels came to ringside with a can of spray paint. We go to break with Shawn and Chris spray painting Benoit with the nWo letters.

After the break we see Shawn still in the ring waiting for Sting. This was a quick paced match and it showed that both Michaels and Sting still have it. Sting went for the Stinger Splash but Michaels hit his Superkick. He went for the cover but somehow Sting kicked out. Michaels went for a second Superkick but Sting ducked and the official went down. Sting went into his trunks for his 'insurance' but Sting was ready. He ducked the right and hit the Scorpion Death Drop. The official made the three count and we had a winner.

In the back we see Kurt Angle going into Mr. McMahon's office.
Angle: Howdy Mr. McMahon. So who do you have me facing tonight?
McMahon: Kurt---um---I didn't have a match for you.
Angle: Come on Mr. McMahon. There has to be someone for me to face.
McMahon: Storm---Lance Storm. You can wrestle Lance Storm does that make you happy?
Angle: Oh yeah that makes me happy. Tonight I prove why America is better then Canada.
McMahon: Whatever Kurt.
Disqo retained his TV Title against Ken Shamrock. This was a normal match with Disqo hitting the Last Dance out of a back suplex attempt for the win.

The Hardy's retained the Tag team Titles thanks to the Eliminators exploding. Several times it seemed like the Eliminators were about to win the titles but they argued. Finally Saturn tagged himself in. Kronus upset about it superkicked Saturn and left the ring. Jeff took advantage and hit a moonsault for the win.
The Hardy Boyz defeated The Eliminators when J. Hardy pinned Saturn after a moonsault bodyblock in 0:05:47.

Lance Storm picked up a singles victory over Angle in a scientific match up. This was a mat wrestling fans dream. Neither man used many punches, kicks or other 'non wrestling' moves. The end came when Angle went for a lariat but Storm countered with a crucifix for the win. After the match Angle once again went 'Olympic'. He grabbed the ring bell and knocked out Storm. He locked in the Ankle Lock. Storm screamed in pain. From the back armed with a chair Owen Hart hit the ring. Angle and Hart go nose to nose before Angle backs off.

In a battle of former ECW Champions Raven retained his GWF Title. This match went back and forth and soon spilt to the floor. On the floor Tazz went to work. Tazz hits several suplexs and was about to lock in the Tazzmission when Steve Austin ran out and Stunned Tazz. Raven quickly hit the Raven Effect for the win. Austin then Stunned Raven.
