Pro Taping: Nitro is on the air. We see footage from Thunder including the main event between Mike Awesome and Bret Hart. We also see Barry Horowitz retire from in ring action to guide the career of Just Joe. We then go to the office of CEO Gene Bennett. Gene: Hello everyone, I must say it is great to be back. Tonight I want to book a great show. Before I book the show I want to make a big announcement. At Souled Out we are going to have a new title introduced here in WCW. Actually a title will re-surface. We will have a Cruiserweight match involving 10 of the top Cruiserweights in the world. I have already signed Just Joe, Brian Christopher, Scott Taylor and Billy Kidman in this match. Now onto tonight. After seeing Spike Dudley and General Rection both snap last week, they will face off. Our wrestlers need to have restraint. Billy Kidman will face Lance Storm in what should be a great match. Also after Thunder last week I was asked by Ray Traylor for a chance to run with the ball. So in our main event Ray Traylor will face the man who fought the World Champion on Thunder, Bret Hart. That plus more action. Thanks for watching everyone. We then go to the announce table. Hudson: Welcome everyone to Nitro. In addition to the matches that Gene just announced Bryan Clark will try to beat Booker T for the TV Title. Tony: I don't want to interrupt Scott, but I understand Vader has just arrived. As Vader gets out of his car, Rikishi shows up. Rikishi: Listen boy, you have caused me a lot of trouble. I want you in the ring one more time you son of a bitch. Vader: Rikishi, you and your group of Foreign jackasses best look at your watches, cause its VADER TIME! Hudson: Another match signed for tonight. And when we come back the new team of Fit Finlay and William Regal will face the Ministry's Gangrel and Papa Shango.
The Foreign Connection (Fit Finlay and William Regal) defeated In a match up that lasted only a few minutes, a lot happened. The match was much, but the aftermath was. Regal got the win with the Regal stretch. This brought the Undertaker into the ring, who was at ringside. He attacked both Finlay and Regal. This brought out another member of the Connection in Alex Wright. Wright attacked the Undertaker and cleared the ring. Taker: Alex Wright look into my eyes. What you will see is your future! Tonight Alex, you will face pure evil in the ring. Hudson: Looks like we will be seeing Alex Wright face the Undertaker here tonight as well. Add that to all the other matches we have had, and it will be a great night of action. Tony: Up next we will see Spike Dudley and General Rection face off. We have seen these two men snap in the past few weeks. Right now though General Rection is with Mean Gene. Mean: General Rection, you and Spike Dudley will be facing off in a few minutes. The question is will it be General Rection or HUGH MORRUS that shows up? Rection: Mean Gene, I like you so I will ignore that. Hugh Morrus is a thing of the past. I don't even want to hear that name. Mean: Ok General, I am sorry. How do you feel about the match. General: I am a role model and what happened last week was a mistake. I want to say I am sorry. But Spike is doing it over and over again. So tonight I will make him shape up or ship out. Mean: I still think there is more Hugh Morrus in the General then he wants to admit. Up next that match.
Spike Dudley pinned General Rection with the Acid Drop
in 0:05:25. This was a mismatch in size, but Spike Dudley didn't back down. Spike went right after the General, but he used his size and really had the match won, but the crowd started to chant 'Hugh' 'Hugh'. This distracted the General. This allowed Spike to recover. Spike gave Rection a low blow and then the Acid Drop for the win. As Spike celebrated Rection rolled to the floor and grabbed a chair. He hit Spike and it sent him to the outside. Rection then grabbed the mic. Rection: You people want Hugh Morrus--ahahahaha--you got it. Just remember you brought this on yourselves. AHAHAHAHAH! Hudson: It looks like Hugh Morrus has returned, which can't be good for everyone in WCW. Tony: That is for sure. Up next we will see Vader and Rikishi lock up one more time.
Big Van Vader pinned Rikishi after a powerslam in 0:03:45. In a short but hard hitting match Vader got the win. After the match however more fireworks took place. From the back out came The Big Show, Hollywood Hogan and Owen Hart. The three attacked Vader while Rikishi was getting back to his feet. Rikishi then joined in an it was four on one. Then from the back came Scott Steiner and Rhino. Steiner sent Rikishi to the floor with a Steinerline while Rhino gave Owen a backdrop over the top. The Big Show then tried to attack the duo, but they were one step ahead. They ducked the lariat attempt and they gave him a double lariat taking him out of the ring. Hollywood now realizes that he is alone and tries to escape the ring, but Vader gives him a lariat. Vader then gives him a big power bomb. Vader picks him up and holds him for Rhino to gore Hogan. Steiner then locks Hogan in the Steiner Recliner. Security and police officers come down and break it up. They then arrest all three men. We go to break with the three being led from the ring. After the break we see Vader, Scott Steiner and Rhino being put into police cars. Gene Bennett then comes out. Gene: Officer, what is the charge? Officer: Assault sir. Mr. Hogan had said if anyone touched him that he was charging them with assault. Gene: Listen, Hogan was in the ring officer. He can't charge them with that. Officer: I am sorry sir, that is how it goes. If you want to post bail you will have to come downtown. Gene: Ok, listen guys I will be down tonight ok. Back in the arena. Hudson: I can't believe Hogan did that Tony. Tony: Doesn't surprise me a bit Scott. We all know that Hollywood is nothing but a snake. Hudson: I see that Alex Wright is in the ring so lets get to the ring.
The Undertaker pinned Alex Wright with the Last Rites
in 0:08:25. Alex Wright was trying to avenge the attack by The Undertaker on Regal and Finlay earlier tonight. Wright went right after the Undertaker and kept Taker on the defense with spin kicks and dropkicks. Taker took over by moving out of the way from a missile dropkick attempt by Wright. The Undertaker took over and never looked back. He gave Wright a tombstone, followed by a chokeslam and then finally the Last Rites for the win. The rest of the Foreign Connection ran down before the Undertaker could do anymore damage. Hudson: Looks like The Ministry continues on the winning streak. They have Mikey Whipwreck as the US Champion and maybe Sting as the world champion at Souled Out Tony. Tony: Thats right Scott. Up next after the break we have the F.B.I going against Lo Down. These two teams faced off on Thunder, and Lo Down got the win after the F.B.I fought the entire match. Now it looks like the F.B.I has asked for a rematch. We see footage of the F.B.I arguing and losing to Lo Down. We then go to break.
Lo Down defeated The F.B.I when Chaz pinned Mamaluke after Lo Down got another win after the F.B.I come to blows and Little Guido left Tony Mamaluke in the middle of the ring. The end came when Mamaluke couldn't fight anymore and Chaz hit a Northern Light for the win. Then from the back out came Little Guido once again. Guido gave Mamaluke the Kiss of Death before leaving. Hudson: Teams are dropping like flying around here. Tony: The pressure is just getting to everyone here in WCW as the days go on. Hudson: Who knows what will happen next. Suddenly Jeff Jarrett's music plays. The Chosen One comes out along with Brian Adams. Jarrett: Listen up you bunch of slapnuts. We want to send out get well wishes to one Glen Gilberny. Hudson: They are talking about Disqo. Jarrett: If you will all look at Nitrovision you will see that Glen was injured on Thunder. Tony: Yeah after you gave him a spiked piledriver on the chair. Jarrett: We have been informed that Glen will not be able to compete for sometime and we are sorry for that. Adams: As a matter of fact, we are out here to wrestle a match in Glen's name. So how about any team come out here and face us. We hear a high pitched laugh and then the Sinister Minister comes out. Behind him is Mortis. Jarrett: Hold up you masked slapass. We asked for a team. Where is your partner. Mortis points to the rafters and we see Sting lowering. As they are looking up Mortis attacks and the match is on.
The Ministry (Mortis and Sting) defeated Brian Adams
and Jeff Jarrett when Sting pinned Jarrett with the Scorpion Death
Drop in 0:04:17. This match was short but very action packed. The end came as Jarrett was about to give Sting the Stroke. From the back out came Bryan Clark and he nailed Jarrett with chair. Sting then floated over and gave Jarrett the Scorpion Death Drop for the win. Clark then grabbed the mic. Clark: Nothing personal Jarrett, that is just a little pay back for Glen. Hudson: Looks like Disqo has some friend in WCW after all Tony. Tony: Well as much as he poke fun at him on air, we still don't want to see the guy hurt. Hudson: Disqo, if you are watching, get well soon. Tony: Up next we will see Lance Storm face Billy Kidman.
Billy Kidman pinned Lance Storm after a shooting star
press in 0:04:16. Kidman and Storm had a hell of a match here. With Lance Storm under the Cruiserweight weight limit it could be a future title match. Storm missed a flying legdrop that led to the end. Kidman then gave Storm a swinging bulldog. Kidman then went to the top and gave Storm the Shooting Star Press for the win. Hudson: Those two men just left everything in the ring Tony. Tony: I know it Scott, and it competition like that that keeps WCW on top of the wrestling world. Hudson: We do have the top athletes in the world and two will face off in moments for the TV Title after the break. But first we have Mean Gene with Bret Hart. Mean: Bret Hart, tonight in the main event you face Ray Traylor. Traylor went to the CEO for a chance to run with the ball so to speak. Hart: Gene, I have known Ray for several years and the two of us are good friends. Tonight the two of us face off and it will be a good clean wrestling match. Mean: Bret Hart, on Thunder you came a little short in your fight for the world title because of Sting. Hart: Sting was just making sure he didn't have to face me for that title. I had Mike Awesome and Sting knew that he couldn't beat me. But Sting will have to face me sooner or later. For that matter the entire Ministry will sooner or later. Mean: Thank you Bret. Looks like the Ministry has a Hitman after them. Up next the TV Title match.
Booker T pinned Bryan Clark after a powerslam in 0:05:06. Booker T and Bryan Clark had a good match, but the end was yet another screw job for Clark. Clark seemed to have the match won, but from the crowd out came Jeff Jarrett. Clark released the Meltdown attempt and knocked Jarrett off the apron. Clark then gave Booker a lariat and climbed the ropes. This is when Brian Adams come down. He gave Clark a shot to the back from a chair and it sent Clark right into a powerslam from Booker T. Booker got the win and retained the title. Adams and Jarrett laughed on the ramp when Clark grabbed the mic. Clark: Adams, you have been a thorn in my side since you screwed me. I carried your ass for over a year as Kronik. The next pay per view is called Souled Out, and that is what you did. So I say we have ourselves a little retirement match. The winner stays in WCW, what do you say? Adams: Bryan Clark, how about you have yourself a nice warm glass of shut the hell up. You want the match, you got it. Hudson: What a match just signed for Souled Out. Kronik will finally meet one on one in a retirement match. Tony: That is five big matches signed for the show with more to come I am sure. Hudson: When we return folks, Ray Traylor tries to become a main player by defeating Bret 'The Hitman' Hart. Ray Traylor is with Pamela right now. Pam: Ray Traylor, in just a few minute you and Bret Hart will fight for what some are saying will be the number one spot. Traylor: Pam, I went to Gene Bennett and asked for this match. I have always been just one win away from that top shot. Tonight I get to that top spot. Pam: Ray, I was wondering if you wanted to comment on General Rection returning to his Hugh Morrus persona. Traylor: Pam, I am really sorry that the General snapped. I hope that whatever is going on in his life clears up and we see the General of old back real soon. Pam: I think we all hope that Ray.
Bret Hart made Ray Traylor submit to the Sharpshooter
in 0:06:06. In a showing that proves both of these men belong in the main event, Bret picked up the win. Traylor however didn't lose without a fight. Traylor gave Hart a huge spinebuster for a near fall. Moments later Traylor went for the Traylor Park Slam, but Hart countered into a single arm DDT. Bret quickly got up and locked in the Sharpshooter and got the submission win. Hudson: What a win by Bret Hart, and what a showing by Ray Traylor Tony. Tony: I would say for Mean Gene--- Suddenly the arena goes black. We see a spotlight on Hart and one on the rafters and Sting is pointing at the ball bat at Hart. Hart waves for Sting to lower. The lights then come up and the Undertaker is standing behind Bret. Bret turns around right into a chokeslam. The Undertaker then sets up Bret for the Last Rites when Traylor comes back to life. Traylor starts to rain the right hands in on the Undertaker when Hugh Morrus comes out with a chair. Morrus nails Traylor and the Undertaker gives him a chokeslam. Morrus then gives Traylor the No Laughing Matter. The Undertaker then looks at Morrus who falls to his knee's in front of him. The Undertaker then leaves with Hugh Morrus behind him. Hudson: The Ministry has just got a little stronger with the addition of Hugh Morrus Tony. Tony: How many weeks will we have to see the Ministry leave carnage in the ring as we leave the air? Hudson: I pry not much longer Tony. Tony: For Mean Gene, Pamela Paulshock and Scott Hudson, good night. |
