The show starts off with footage from SIN last night.  We see Disqo and Vader both debut with the company.  We see a new TV and World champion crowned in Lance Storm and Mike Awesome.  We then go to Gene Bennett in his office.

Gene:  Hello everyone, and it is good to be back after what The Big Show did to me.  Now I want to have a huge night here on Nitro.  First off I think that Owen Hart should have a rematch, so in just a moment we will see Owen face Mike Awesome for the World title.  Also I am going to give Lance Storm on night where he doesn't defend his title as he teams with Scott Taylor against Fit Finlay and Rikishi.  Also we will see Disqo team with the Mamalukes against three members of the Ministry.  Later on folks I will announce the main event, and its a match you won't want to miss.  Ok, lets get to the ringside area where Tony and Scott are waiting to call all of this great action.

Tony:  Thanks Gene, and what a show already lined up.

Scott:  That is an understatement Tony.  On top of the matches Gene announced we will have four teams do battle for a shot at our next pay per view, Souled Out as General Rection and Ray Traylor take on Lo Down, the F.B.I and the team of Scott Steiner and Rhino.

Tony:  And don't forget the US title match where Mikey Whipwreck faces Billy Kidman fresh off his big win over Spike Dudley.  But we see that Mike Awesome is in the ring.

Mike Awesome pinned Owen Hart after hitting him with brass knuckles in 0:08:39.
Rating: *** 1/4
(Mike Awesome retained the WCW World Title.)

Owen charges the ring and the match is on.  Early on Jeff Jarrett makes his way to the ring.  Mike dominated Owen with power moves like powerslams and suplexs.  However, Owen made a comeback as Awesome missed frog splash.  Owen then hit a missile dropkick and Awesome went to the floor.  Jarrett grabbed Awesome and tossed him back in the ring.  Awesome yells at Jarrett and Owen rolls him up for a near fall.  Awesome then takes Owen's head off with a lariat.  Awesome then hits a running Awesome Bomb for what should have ended the match, but Jarrett puts Owen's foot on the ropes.  Owen goes for a kick to the midsection, but Awesome catches it, only to take an enziguri.  Owen then locks in the Sharpshooter, but Awesome doesn't give up.  Awesome finally kicks out.  Jeff then throws a pair of brass knuckles to Owen, but Owen misses them and Awesome gets them.  Awesome levels Owen, and gets the win.  We then go to the back where the Ministry is arriving.  We see that they are in mass, minus one Chris Kanyon.  We go to break with the Ministry entering the building.  After the break we see that the arena is black and the Ministry is coming to the ring.

Undertaker:  Last night, the Ministry became even stronger as Sting joined us finally.  We are complete, and ready to run over everyone here in WCW.

Sting:  People have asked me why did I turn my back on them.  The better question is why did they turn on me?  You stopped cheering me when guys like Scott Steiner became popular.  I was a hero and someone your kids could look up to.  Instead they cheer catch phrases and people who aren't even worthy of lacing my boots up.  But you fans didn't care, well now you will care as I take out your hero's.  One by one they will fall to our feet.  Chris Kanyon already fell, soon so will Bret Hart, Booker T, Ray Traylor, General Rection and everyone else.  So get used to seeing up on top.

On the big screen we see Gene Bennett appear.

Gene:  Sting, what you did makes me sick.  If you had a problem with the fans or anyone here in WCW, you should have just talked to us.  Instead you have this kidnapping take place, only to get the fans to care.  Kanyon gave his career to help you.  Well Sting, you can go to hell.  But to be fair, you are a top star in this company.  So you will be in a fatal four way match for a shot at the WCW title at Souled Out, a fitting name since you sold yours.  You will face Bret Hart, Masato Tanaka and Jeff Jarrett tonight.  As for you Taker, you will face three men tonight in Just Joe, Barry Horowitz and Brian Christopher.  Have a nice day boys.

We then see on the ramp that the Sinister Minister is leading someone out.  It is Chris Kanyon, or actually his former persona in Mortis.  As they come to the ring, the Mamalukes and Disqo attack jump starting the match.

The Ministry (Gangrel, Mortis and Papa Shango) defeated The Mamalukes and Disqo when Shango pinned Johnny the Bull with his special move in 0:06:11.
Rating: * 3/4

This match was basically six on three most of the time with the entire Ministry at ringside.  Disqo and the Mamalukes however didn't back down.  Early on Vito hit his DDT and Johnny hit the flying legdrop, but Mortis broke the pin attempt up.  Disqo moments later hit Mortis with the Last Dance, only for Mikey Whipwreck to pull him out.  On the floor Disqo tried to fight off both Mikey and Sting, but they were too much.  On the other side of the ring, Vito was trying to fight The Undertaker and Mortis, but they too were to much.  On the inside, Johnny hit Gangrel with a flying legdrop, but Shango broke it up with his Voodoo stick.  He then used that strange power of his to spray sparks from the end into Johnny's face.  He made the cover and the got the win.  The Ministry then continued to beat on the three men until Booker T and Bret Hart ran out and made the save.  We go to break with Booker and Hart holding the Ministry at bay with chairs.  After the break we see footage of Kronik talking to Hulk Hogan.

Adams:  Listen boss, we can take those Foreign guys out for you.  I mean what would be better then Kronik verse Steiner and Rhino and Souled Out?

Hogan:  Well you didn't even win your half of the match last night, what are you putting on the line?

Clark:  Listen, if you give us this match, and don't win, we will never team in this company again.

Adams looks confused in the background.

Hogan:  Ok, so you lose, you don't team anymore.  You got the match.

Back in the arena.

Scott:  What did we just hear?  Kronik in a retirement match of sorts., a fatal four way, a handicap match, this has to be the best Nitro ever Tony.

Tony:  Well I agree Scott.  Plus we don't know what our main event is yet.  The arena has just gone green, which only means one thing, Kronik is on its way.

Scott:  Here comes Regal and Wright, oh great, Regal has a mic.

Regal:  Hello everyone, your tag team champions have arrived.  After defeating all of the top teams here in WCW, it seems that the one team wasn't happy and went crying to that unfit commissioner Hulk Hogan.  Well he grants Kronik, the team we have beat on several occasion this match.  Well the bright spot is that after we beat them again, you won't have to see them team again.  Thank you.

The Foreign Connection (Alex Wright and William Regal) defeated Kronik when Regal made Clark submit to the Regal Stretch in 0:05:55.
Rating: * 3/4
(The Foreign Connection (Alex Wright and William Regal) retained the WCW Tag Team Titles.)

As the Connection entered the ring, Kronik attacked.  Early on Adams hit Wright with the Full Nelson Slam, but Regal broke it up.  Regal then hit several European Uppercuts nearly knocking Adams out.  Clark then makes the blind tag Adams.  Clark charged and hits a huge lariat.  Clark then cuts Wright off and sends him into the ropes, but Adams isn't looking and gets knocked off the apron.  Clark quickly hits the Meltdown and both Regal and Wright and calls for High Times.  He helps Adams to his feet, and they grab Wright for High Times.  Suddenly Brian Adams backhands Bryan Clark.  He then locks in a Full Nelson and gives Clark the Full Nelson Slam.  Regal locks in the Regal Stretch and the official checks the arm three times and the match is over.

Tony:  What have we just seen?  Brian Adams purposely lost the match, and even left Bryan Clark for dead Scott.

Scott:  Once again William Regal and Alex Wright were lucky.  Right now I understand that Mark Madden is with Lance Storm and Scott Taylor.

Madden:  Lance Storm, first off congrats on your big win last night.  It makes all us Canadians proud that you are the Television Champion.

Storm:  Thank you Mark and it will be an honor to defend this title every week.  But tonight I won't be defending this title as Scotty and I teach those Foreign Connection boys what it is like to in the ring with the best technical wrestlers.

Scott:  Rikishi, one more time I will face your fat ass.  We used to be tight, but you left us high and dry.  Well tonight Lance and I get all up in that fat ass.

Madden:  Lets get to the ring.

Before the match we see footage of Rikishi and Finlay attacking last Thursday in the back.  We then see footage of Rikishi getting the win over Brian Christopher and Scott Taylor and then Lance Storm beating Fit for the TV Title.  We then see that the teams are in the ring.

The Foreign Connection (Fit Finlay and Rikishi) defeated
Lance Storm and Scott Taylor when Rikishi pinned Taylor with the Bonzai Drop in 0:07:26.
Rating: ** 1/2

The match was a good match between two teams that wanted revenge.  This however didn't mean there was much team work.  While Storm and Taylor had teamed in the past, the team work just wasn't there.  Both Finlay and Rikishi worked over Taylor.  Finally Taylor made the tag, and Storm was on fire.  He hit a jumping leg lariat on Rikishi, and suddenly Taylor was back in the ring.  Storm stepped a side and right into a backdrop from Finlay.  Taylor meanwhile was going for the Worm.  He Wormed his way right into a Tombstone from Fit.  Rikishi then drug Taylor over and hit the Bonzai drop for the win.  Rikishi was going for a second, when Storm made the save.  Storm helped Taylor to his feet.  Storm and Taylor shook hands as we went to break.

After break we see footage from the big Triple Threat Double Jeopardy match at Sin last night.  We then see the four teams in the ring.

Four Corners Match:
Rhino and Scott Steiner defeated Lo Down, General Rection and Ray Traylor and The F.B.I:
x Traylor beat L. Guido via an abdominal stretch in 0:04:32
x Chaz beat Gen. Rection via the Superplex in 0:07:34
x Rhino beat D-Lo via the Piledriver in 0:08:18
Rating: ** 3/4

This four corners match that had one member of each team in the ring the whole time.  It really was more of a four team battle royal for the most part.  The first elimination saw Ray Traylor show some technical skill when he reversed an abdominal stretch attempt by Guido.  Guido quickly gave up because of the rib injury he suffered when Rhino gored him last night.  Next Chaz cut off General Rection as he was going for a flying elbow on Scott Steiner.  Chaz crotched him and gave him the Superplex for the elimination.  However during this time Steiner tagged Rhino.  Rhino gored Chaz as he stood up from the pin.  Chaz went right into his corner, where D-Lo tagged himself in.  D-Lo didn't have much offense and Rhino caught him with a spinebuster as he came in.  Rhino then gored him, gave him a Piledriver and got the win.

Scott:  Scott Steiner and Rhino are going on to Souled Out to face the Tag Team champions, whoever they might be.

Tony:  Up next we will be finding out who will face the World Champion as four men fight for that match.  Right now Mean Gene is with one of those four men, Bret Hart.

Mean:  Bret, last night you beat Sting, which many thought would put you in line for a title shot.  However, CEO Gene Bennett didn't think so as he has now put you in a four way dance for the title shot.

Bret:  Well I am glad actually Gene.  I now get another shot at Sting.  What he did last night is the sickest thing I have ever seen in this business.  Tonight I will make him feel pain and hopefully knock some sense into him.

Mean:  Well good luck Bret.  When we come back we have that big four way.

No-Countout-No-DQ-4-Man Battle Royal:
Sting won a 4-man Battle Royal:
x M. Tanaka defeated Jarrett after the Diamond Dust in 0:09:47
x Sting defeated M. Tanaka after the Scorpion Death Drop in    0:10:24
x Sting defeated B. Hart after the Scorpion Death Drop in                                  0:15:58
Rating: ***

In another four way dance, Sting was victorious and will face the World Champion at Souled out.  Early on we see Owen Hart come to the ringside area.  He just stood watching as the match proceeded.  Tanaka was setting up for the Tornado DDT on Jarrett, when Owen interfered.  He hooked Tanaka, preventing him from executing the move.  Owen then gave him an Enziguri knocking him from the top rope.  He grabbed Jarrett's guitar and swung, but Tanaka ducked and Owen hit Jarrett.  Tanaka quickly knocked Owen off, and then gave Jarrett Diamond Dust for the pin.  Owen and Jarrett then fought on the outside.  Sting meanwhile sent Hart to the floor.  As Tanaka watched the fight on the floor, Sting snuck up and gave him the Scorpion Death Drop for the pin.  Tanaka rolled to the floor where he was absorbed into the fight between Owen and Jarrett.  Then from the back out came the World Champion and the four men that were fighting last night at Sin were at it again.  In the ring Hart and Sting were picking up where they left off.  Hart hit several of his usual moves.  However Sting came back.  Sting went for the Stinger Splash, but Hart moved and Sting hit the post.  Hart then went to lock in the Sharpshooter.  This brought out the Ministry's Sinister Minister.  This distracted both Bret and the ref Charles Robinson.  From the audience came Mikey Whipwreck, and hit Hart with the Whippersnapper.  Sting waited for Charles to turn around, and gave Bret the Scorpion Death Drop and got the win.  Mikey Whipwreck and Sting then worked over Bret, but Booker T ran out from the back and made the save.  We go to break with Booker checking on Bret.

After the break we see Bret and Booker with Pamela.

Pam:  Booker, it seems like you aren't done with the Ministry.

Booker:  That's right Pam.  I am sick of the Ministry and their mind games.  Mikey got lucky last night, just like Sting did just now.

Bret:  Booker, thanks for the help.  Together we can stop their reign of terror.

Suddenly Gene Bennett walks up.

Gene:  Sorry to interrupt, but I want to talk to you Booker.

Pam:  Looks like the Ministry in the trouble.  Back to you Scott.

Scott:  Well Tony, looks like the Ministry is going to have a war on their hands.

Tony:  That's right Scott, but I wonder what Gene wanted with Booker T.

Scott:  Well he hasn't given us our main event, and its rapidly approaching.

Tony:  Well we have two matches left, and both involve the Ministry.  Up next the Undertaker face three men.

Handicap-Match:
The Undertaker defeated Just Joe, Barry Horowitz and Brian Christopher when Undertaker pinned Christopher after a choke slam in 0:02:49.
Rating: *

In a match that Gene thought would stop the Undertaker, really just proved that he really is a superstar.  He quickly hit all three men with big boots and chokeslams.  He made the pin on Christopher after the pin.  However, the entire Ministry the came out and just destroyed the three men.  Mortis hit Just Joe with a Piledriver from the second rope.  Mikey gave Barry a Whippersnapper from the top while Sting gave Brian a Scorpion Death Drop from the top.

Taker:  Gene, do you think you can stop us?  Nothing can stop us.  You better just stay out of our way, because you keep getting in our you will be the next person whose family is in trouble.

The Undertaker then picks up Just Joe and gives him the Last Rites before leaving.

Tony:  A threat to the CEO Scott.

Scott:  A threat that Gene better take serious.  After the break we will see the US Title match.

Mikey Whipwreck pinned Billy Kidman with the Whippersnapper in 0:09:00.
Rating: **
(Mikey Whipwreck retained the WCW United States Title.)

The match was a high flying match between two great athletes.  Both men got near falls early.  Mikey however was on the defense often trying to just last the match.  Kidman hit the Shooting Star Press, but Mikey managed to get to the ropes somehow.  Kidman went to the top, but The Sinister Minister pulled his leg crotching him.  This gave Mikey a chance to hit the Whippersnapper and get the win.  As Mikey celebrated, we see 'Hollywood' Hulk Hogan and Paul Wight come to the ring.  Mikey and the Minister quickly leave the ring while Billy tries to get to his feet.  The Big Show helps him up by the throat and gives him the Show Stopper.

Hogan:  Gene, why don't you give us the main event right now.  Come on down here Gene.  I know it has to involve this monster right here.  Just sent the sheep to slaughter!

Gene appears on the big screen.

Gene:  Hollywood, I am glad you are in the ring, saves me the time to get you there.

Hogan:  What do you mean?

Gene:  Well I have been reviewing the contracts that WCW has, and it seems that I didn't know something.  While you are the Commissioner here, you are also a wrestler under contract.  So Hollywood, tonight you and Paul there will be in action.  And you will meet your opponents in just a few minutes.  Hollywood, all I have to say is, check what time it is.

After the break we see that Hogan has taken his shirt off and is awaiting the men.  Suddenly Vader's music plays and Hogan looks scared.   Then we see Vader's partner, and it is Booker T.

Paul Wight and Hulk Hogan defeated Big Van Vader and Booker T when Hogan pinned Vader with the Big Leg Drop in 0:08:17.
Rating: *

Vader and Booker T entered the ring and Hollywood quickly retreated.  This left Paul Wight alone with both men.  Vader and Booker quickly took Wight off his feet.  Finally it was just Booker and Wight.  Booker however just wasn't enough to keep up with The Big Show.  Show hit Booker with the Final Cut.  He then however tossed Booker into his corner where he could make the tag to Vader.  Vader came in and dominated Show.  Several times Show tried to tag and Hogan wouldn't tag.  Vader went for the moonsault while Show was stunned, he hit it but the Show hit ref Nick Patrick.  This allowed Hollywood Hogan to grab a chair at ringside.  Hogan then laid both Vader and Booker out.  He then hit Vader with the big Leg Drop.  Patrick came to and made the three count. We go off the air with Hogan and Show leaving both Booker and Vader laying.
