Week 8: Gender, transport and information communication technology: the opportunity for new educational arrangements.

This seminar explores the new patterns of educational arrangements made possible by new technologies and their consequences for patterns of educational travel.

The key readings are.

These readings are taken from a gender and development literature but they mark out the universal ways in which electronic access can provide women with new pathways to education both through the synchronous and asychronous properties of the new information communication technologies.
