Just a Reminder

  This isn't a poem, or anything of the like.
This is simply a reminder to those who read this,
that even though we are teens,
we are the ones who will defend this great nation in times of need.

Please do not mock us, or look down upon us because of our age,
for our duties are very important.

Today I realized what it feels like to have a friend go off to the service.
I felt proud, and at a loss.

I'm going in, and so are most of my friends.
Wish us the best and to my friends,
