Peter Hall
Drummer, Weatherman
Pete says, "Drumming was somewhat of an afterthought to me.  I have always been intrigued and interested in playing drums, but I never even picked up the sticks for real before the year 2000.  Before our band congealed to what is now known as Gen. Hippo, Chris Brian and I were each playing guitars in the infamous Clarke Street basement.  I asked one day if I could jump on this old, beat up drum kit to have a go just for fun.  After jamming for a song or two, Brian said to me something to the effect of, 'Forget the guitar.... you should be drumming!'   While it is possible he may have meant that I was a terrible guitarist, I like to think he meant I was a decent drummer and that it would make sense to not have 3 guitarists in a band with nothing else.  Eventually, Chris transformed himself into an excellent bassist, Brian continued to play great guitar, and I, well, I just try to keep you thinking on the drums."
