Brian Applegate
Vocalist, Guitarist, Stacker
Playing Harmonica is Sexy
Whether it was school chorus, promoting other bands or adding to his now 800+ cd collection, Brian has always been somehow involved in music.  After playing violin and piano, Brian finally settled down with the guitar.   In 1996, Brian played bass for one day in a band called the Homemade Originals (now Paragraph 8).  He later became the band's manager.  During that time he also formed his own group, the short-lived Cold Beverage.  Brian took four years off to work on his playing and go to colledgege.  In 2000, he came back with a fury with Gen. Hippo.  "This band is unlike any one I've ever seen or heard," Brian says, "three guys who are cool, talented, and aren't afraid to take risks like setting themselves on fire for a good live show."
Brian would like to thank his parents, his influences, his inspiration, and all those who had fun at a Gen. Hippo show.

He adds...
"This band is dedicated to all the other struggling bands out there.  I know how tough, tedious, and expensive all this stuff is.  Bless those who continue to play music anyway."
