= INTACTIVISM HOME PAGE

This site advocates a role for itself in the "struggle for genital integrity and against the involuntary modification of children of any sex."  Female Genital Mutilation (and male cicumcision) is the predominant topic.  The principal issues are circumcision, female genital mutilation and involuntary gender reassignment."  There are several well-presented links from this page and perhaps information for consideration.  I could not find a specific site owner or recognized (by me) organization to judge the quality.  To be fair, there is no apology for the presentation of the topic being a biased one.

= CLONAID.COM

Check this out!  Here we have the first company dedicated to cloning a human.  You too can be in two places at once for only $200,000.  Get in line when an IPO is available. Or Not!  Yes, I know that cloning does not "work that way" but there is something in this site which brings out the "jest" in me.

= Moral Reasoning Guidelines

This link is actually the guidelines for writing an essay but its instructions give an interesting picture of what is expected of supporting a moral decision.

“You are being asked to do an ethical analysis as compared to a political or economic one. Your research topic or case study which focuses on a moral dilemma or controversy probably has several different proposals or solutions which you could utilize. For our purposes, it is not so important which moral judgment or moral rule you draw, but on how well you justify, defend, and argue for your moral position and that you demonstrate clear and consistent reasoning as well as critical thinking skills. Essay guidelines follow.”

= The Globe and Mail

This link will put you onto the Globe's current online paper.  Naturally this is a chance to have a quick look at various breaking stories; however, our immediate purpose is ETHICS.  The upper left hand corner of the page shows a small space where you are invited to type in some words to conduct a search of Globe archives.  Type in <Ethics 101> (no brackets) and hit enter.  You will be taken to the latest ethical situation as well as have a list of some recent submissions. Most of these situations are of the nature of "personal ethics" but the process for ethical problem solving remains relevant.

= The International Council for Human Duties

This "code of ethics of shared responsibilities" grew from the idea of Nobel prized individuals and became reality in the 1990's.  The impetus was apparently their view that the Charter of Human Rights was too much maligned.  This nongovernmental international agency is given status on United Nations work.
