Im working toward, (and looking forward to) a life in sync with these things, to find someone to be in my life who loves these things, and wants to work toward a greater understanding of thier world, and to build a life, a home and a family in tune to thier surroundings.
I am interested in low impact housing, I want to put up a yurt and live in it, with an outdoor summer kitchen, composting toilet (ive lived with one of these for a while) chickens, and various critters. Ive read and heard about cob and straw bale techniques, and eventualy would love a permanent house of an evironmentaly friendly nature that I helped build with my own hands.
And an organic garden, I hope to get back on the vegetarian-wagon, I have been a strict vegetarian for 4 years, but when you move back home, and you do some stress eating over the holidays... you get used to the way things are done where you are. But, these are poor excuses, I only want organic foods in my life, and one day want to support myself with a great garden and maybe a home-grown chicken once in a while, if I could stomach killing it first!
When was the last time you went into the silvery night air of a full moon and told it how much you love to see its fullness, and how when the full moon lights up the earth, how wonderful it is to go walking in the night? When was the last time you hugged a tree, untill you were no longer the one giving the hug, but the tree was then embracing you? Or sat under a wisend old tree with gnarley branches and listened to what it had to say? When was the last time you played in the snow? In your own backyard? Been frozen to numbness and loved every minute of it.
