Samuel Luke is born!
Samuel Luke Lea was born on 21 April 2002 at 5.10 am weighing a healthy
9lb 7oz. Nick and I are so proud of our little boy and whilst the first
few weeks of Sam’s life were strange for us all, we are now quite
settled into some sort of routine and a ‘family’ life once
again. We do feel sad that Gemma is not here to play and grow up with
her little brother, but we feel very strongly that she is still with us,
and will always play a big part in all of our lives.
Sam is growing into a big boy (a future St Helens prop forward!) with a big personality – not too dissimilar from his big sister! He loves attention, loves songs and nursery rhymes and certainly loves his food! He began to walk at just over 11 months old and it is fantastic to watch him playing with his toys and enjoying life so much.
This week we celebrated Sam’s first birthday. We had a lovely birthday party for him, and celebrated with all our family and friends.
Most of all Nick and I are determined to enjoy Sam’s life. We look
forward to the simple things that others may take for granted –
a trip to the park, a game of football, a day at the fair… We feel
so fortunate to have been blessed with two wonderful children and we will
cherish every single day that we spend together and every memory that
we have.
