To Whom It May Concern

Can you see what I am?

Why won’t you dare to look?

I’m trapped and I am caught,

Like a fish upon on a hook.

Assume and cover up,

Try to change the way I feel

Because you know I’m not like you,

And you won’t admit it’s real.

You make me guilty

And try to place blame,

No wonder I’m so fucking insane.

When I smile; inside I’m crying

When I cry; within I’m dying

You’ve seen the surface of the knife

That penetrates my bitter life,

But there is so much more to see,

Of a mind that’s killing me.

Alas! I fear you’ll never know

How I am being dragged below,

To a place where day has died,

And darkness rules what lives inside.

So to whom it may concern,

You don’t understand, and cannot learn.
