The Night Sky

 

I see the night sky in shades of mauve and plum

Fuchsia and indigo patterned like crumbs

Clouds like paw prints blotted on canvas

Up in the universe so incredibly vast

Scattered stars like spills of milk

Embracing the moon wrapped in scarves of silk

Up in the darkness I see my life

Shrouded like a secret in the sky.
