Forest of the damned
I’ve seen the dark sides of relief
Dimensions like fragmented glass
The vampire bush; my finger pricks
In forests wild; so thick and vast
A labyrinth of vines entangle limbs
Wide eyes glare in desperation
Pinprick pupils, the night embraces
Trees involve in transplantation
Smoking bones in powdered envy
Bring relief of ignorant mind
Blood sap seeping from the branches
Drops on stems and stalks unkind
Full moon’s beauty hypnotises
Damson lips utter words unknown
Mimosa mourns its splitting leaves
The demon’s damaged words are shown
Sadistic charm of night forbidden
You have given it your hand
And so forever, you shall reside
Inside the forest of the damned.
