Hawke Ridge is a joint breeding venture of Hawk Haven Farm and Pepperwood Performance Horses established with the goal of producing a Hunter Under Saddle horse that can win in the show pen, and be sound and sensible enough to follow the foxhounds across the Kentucky hills. The partnership's objectives developed as the result of Cheryl Dorman's youth experience in AHSA Medal & Maclay competition and 15+ years of foxhunting combined with Robin Hays-Haun's devotion to AQHA Hunter under Saddle and All-Around competition.
Many thanks to James Keogh, professional bloodstock agent, and Wayne Sweezy, managing partner of Darby Dan Farms, for their generous help and advice in evaluating prospects at the Keeneland and Fasig-Tipton Thoroughbred sales. We are eagerly anticipating the 2005 foals by "Only Blue Sky" and "Art's Self Portrait" out of these carefully selected broodmares.
