| Rallies |
| Rallies are where pony club members compete in teams. There are two parts to a rally the riding, which is judged like a regular show, and horse managment where the competitors are judged on how well they care for thier horses and tack and how well they can keep everything organized and safe. Rallies are lots of fun and begin at the regional level, from thier individuals can quailfy to compete at the USPC National Championships. The qualification requirements are different for each event. The South Region holds 6 rallies every year: Knowdown, Everything but the Horse, Dressage, Games, Showjumping, and Combined Training. Here is a little about each: |
| Knowdown |
| At Knowdown competitors are tested on thier knowledge. There is no riding involved. Competitors are grouped by age and rating and are asked questions accordingly. |
| Everything but the Horse |
| At rallies competitors are required to set up a tack room and stalls which must contain certian items. At the Everything but the Horse rally competitors come and set up thier tackrooms and practice managing thier time with out the stress of taking care of and riding thier horses. |
| Dressage |
| At a Dressage rally competitors are judged on Horse managment and riding. Competitors can choose at which level they ride and qualifying riders are required to do a musical Kur, a dressage test set to music. |
| Games |
| At Games rallies competitors are judged on horse management and riding. the riding consists of relay games on horseback. |
| Show Jumping |
| At Show Jumping rallies competitors are judged on horse managment and riding. The riding consists of the 3 show jumping courses with the first course also being judged on equitation and the last having a bonus round. |
| Combined Training |
| At Combined Training Rallies competitors are judged on Horse management and riding. The riding consists of a dressage test, a cross-country course, and a show-jumping course. |
