Dear Nang2/Gem,

Hi! How are you? Thank you so much for the additional solicitations for the consolation prizes! We know we can count on you!

Here are the highlights of our meeting yesterday:

Attendance: 28 classmates attended (excluding the core group members but Belle is attending the family day in Subic, Emily, though confirmed attendance did not show up but sent items for the garage sale)

Matter Discussed:

"Cool Summer Nights"

1. Tickets: Ana and Gina collected from those present the sales on tickets
2. They updated the group also on the list of those classmates we still need to collect ticket sales from and if they can help.
3. Ticket sales of MM group was also shared.
4. Ana and Gina will pay the entire minimum requirement (Php30K for 200 heads) to Villa Caceres. Any number of heads in excess will just be settled on April 21.
5. Streamers will be prepared to acknowledge the sponsors: Bayantel, Papel at Pluma, Emi Enverga's business.
6. All sponsors for the consolation prizes will be acknowledged during the night by the band and the batch emcee for raffle.
7. Janemarie will emcee the raffle.

Garage Sale:

1. The sale was not as good as that in December.
2.The schedule selected was not good timing since people are just recovering after the graduation expenses. Moreso, they also tend to save for the forthcoming holy week.
3. Ana observed also that this is the same with the bank transactions. There are more withdrawals made than deposits since February.
4. Good learning in this garage sale is that we should really pick the date when people would have extra money.
5. It is also a disappointing observation that not all who committed to join the sale came or gave items. Everyone is really encouraged to help raise funds.
6. On the whole, net income is positive (e.g. after paying tent rental of Php500 and the 3rd party cashier)

Notes:

1. Update on the foreign involvement on fund raising was asked but no update yet can be given because there is yet no complete update from Theresa D.
2. Suggestion is given if MM goup can also sponsor a fund raising activity there.
3. It was also explained that the monetary pledges/solicitations from the batch members are actually voluntary in nature. However, we are not stopping those classmates who want to give more to do so. Ex. If someone reached her quota of 5 solicitations for the souvenir program, if she wants to give her commission as pledge, it is most welcome!

Production Number:

1. Teresa Ibay (lead person) of the production number shared with the group the choreography witnessed from the students to help us in the production number.
2. The production number is a medley of highlights of our H.S. life
fancy drill
majorettes
sports
cheering aquad
"rock-baby-rock"
"Summer Lovin" (Grease)
3. It will begin with a powerpoint presentation of who and "what" is Batch '82 and will end with a grand finale and an introduction to the "interactive nook".
4. She also mentioned that practices will start on April 17.
5. From among those who were present, they were asked in which group thay want to join (Except for "rock-baby-rock" which will be assigned to the MM group to whom a video tape of the choregraphy and basic steps will be sent)
5. The group agreed that all the sub-groups except for Grease will practice MWF (6-8p.m.), the Grease group will practice Sat., 2-4p.m.

Note: Participation in the production number will entail costumes which is will be provided by the participants themselves as this is not included in the targeted funds to be raised.

Other Matters:

1. Jane recommended that we focus our efforts first on priorities like, fund raising. Then, if we know how much we have then we just plan on what we could do during the reunion.
2. Though this is exactly what is being done now, the practices for the production number (considering that no funds are needed yet for this) are being suggested by the choreographer to begin this summer so that we would have extra time for this considering that the children are not in school. If the groups are now familiar with the steps and choreography, then practices will be more sporadic until we need to convene everyone for the final week's practices.

Meeting started at 3:00 p.m. with the merienda hosted by Len and Sieg (two of the many April celebrators) and ended at 6:00 p.m.

Matet will send you the pcitures.

Love you all!

Sieg
