Epilogue

The battle was over. Now all there was left to do was repair the damage that had been done. That would be easy with the help of some of Dr. Light’s robots. The kind scientist, Mega, Roll, and Rush were standing with the mayor on the runway, observing the repair process.

“My robots have almost finished repairing the airport, Mr. Mayor,” Dr. Light said.

“The city offers its congratulations, Mega Man, for a job well done.”

“The credit goes to all of us,” Mega amended, not one to take all the credit for himself.

“Even me?” Roll asked a touch timidly. Mega Man turned to look at her.

“Even you, Roll. And,” he added, “my faithful robot dog Rush.” He held down a battery biscuit, and Rush, like any normal dog, began to pant and wag his tail. Feeling a bit playful, Mega threw the biscuit into the air, saying, “Hey, fetch, Rush!” Rush eagerly leapt for it, barking, but instead as they all watched in surprise latched onto the wing of a plane passing overhead. Mega watched in disbelief, then commented, “Sometimes I’m not sure Rush’s circuits are wired correctly.” They all just laughed.

Author's Post Note: Thank you for reading through my novelization. I also have some more Mega Man fics that I'm currently updating, as much about the setting they take place in has been changed. They should be ready for posting soon. See you soon! ;)
