Chapter 7: 10:00 (38 Hours Remaining)

Dregan came in after about two hours., Those on the first shift search looked over in surprise, as they weren't to change shifts for another few hours.

"I know it's not my turn yet, but I had an idea, and I didn't want anyone to think I'd run out on the team," he explained as he entered, his red/gold flecked eyes alight.

"We'd never think that," Vivi assured. "But, what's your idea?"

"I don't want to say yet, just in case it doesn't work out. But lets just say if everything goes as I hope it will, I'll return with help."

"Any help is a blessing," Kuja spoke up.

"Okay, I'm off then." Dregan pulled out his Gate Cube, pressed his side, and vanished.

"I wonder what he's thinking?" mused Valian.

"Perhaps he's gone to the Counsel of Mages," Orko reasoned. "They're the most powerful casters he knows of."

"Maybe." Vivi stole a look out the window.

Cal, where are you?

ooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

Calan sat in a cell, dimly staring down at his hands in his lap. He felt confused, yet calm. He wasn't sure why he'd acted like he had, been so hostile towards his family and friends, then left the castle and went with the creatures outside like he did. but now he only knew he had to obey the Voice when it spoke to him. He didn't know why, and wanted to go home, but it was like his body wouldn't obey unless the Voice spoke.

So he sat, and waited.
