Kuja revived en route back to the castle. He couldn't answer any of their question as to what he'd done, nor recall what it was he'd said. And by some funny twist of fate, the rest could only recall snippets of it.
"Something like 'life undone... as I first made you... " as Zidane put it, shaking his head at the failed attempt. Kuja could only chuckle.
Despite the fact that he said he felt fine, Vivi insisted that Cal rest in one of the bedrooms on the airship for the duration of the trip. He remained by his son's side, telling him of what happened, and reassuring him that it wasn't his fault. The eldest child was worried about his brothers, about what he had done to them, and how they would react to him now. It quite literally was about the only thing he could think about.
But Calan needn't have worried. The instant he left the airship he was surrounded by his brothers, all of whom were hugging him and asking if he was okay.
"I'm fine," he answered, returning their embraces and feeling himself get a little choked up. "I'm - I'm sorry." This mostly to Nic and Val, for hurting them in the game.
"You weren't yourself," Valian said. "We always knew that. You'd never hurt us, any of us. You're our brother!" Cal couldn't respond, instead pulling Val into another tight hug, shaking from his grateful tears.
Through all of this, Dregan, Zentarou, and Orko stood to one side, watching their brother and his sons. This was a private time for them, they knew, though they were included too. This was truly a triumphant moment for them all.

That night, Vivi went to check on Cal, only to find all of his sons in the room. They were all sitting on Calan's bed, and by the look in their eyes, Vivi knew that they hadn't wanted to be apart. They had almost lost Cal, after all. He smiled, and joined them in sitting on the bed, offering Calan a comforting hug as he did so.
And when the dawn sun arose, he shone down on the Orunitia family, united forever.
