A/N: Please keep in mind that it has been years since I watched the He-Man cartoons, so some things might be in error. Just ignore them. And as usual, I don't own He-Man, nor any relating charries.
Chapter 2: Passage Not for All
Much to their relief, they arrived to see Skeletor still outside the tower, glaring at the door angrily.
"He-Man!" Skeletor did not sound happy to see him, and Orko made sure he was out of sight. "What are you doing here?"
"For once, the same thing you are," He-Man replied, looking up and down the tower, before regarding his nemesis. "You felt it?"
"Yes. And what's worse, it affected my magic. I can't cast anything greater than illusions without it blowing up in my face." He attempted to punch at the door, and a barrier of some sort flared up into visibility, jarring him badly. "Care to try your strength?" he asked sarcastically.
"I'll pass." The air was starting to feel very tense, as the hero of Eternia and the Bane of all good glared at each other. While they could agree that this tower's presence was an equal nuisance, they just couldn't ignore their mutual hatred of each other.
Orko eyed the tower from his place behind He-Man, out of sight. Somehow, he knew this involved him. Good or bad, the tower had come for him, and him alone. He just felt it in his gut. Slowly, carefully, he slid to the ground, as it were since he did float, and edged towards the unseen barrier. Skeletor couldn't cross it, and he doubted He-Man would be able to either, but maybe, just maybe, he could.
"Hey!" one of Skeletor's lackeys suddenly said, pointing Orko's way.
"Trolly-molly!" Orko yelped, and zipped towards the tower. All saw a bluish light surround him as he hit it, only to vanish as he passed clean through.
"Orko!" He- Man tried to cross, was he stopped.
"He can go through, but none of us can?" fumed Skeletor, equally furious and baffled. Orko was glad he was beyond the barrier at that moment.
"This is something I have to do," Orko replied. "I've felt since we got here. I'll be fine." He looked up at the tower. "I hope... Trolly-molly..." As he approached the door, it swung open to let him inside, then closed behind with an ominous BANG!
