Friday 1st December 2000
Chloe and Philip are a couple in love as they wander down the halls of Salem high. But Jason, Jan and Mimi are determined to destroy that real quick. Meanwhile, Shawn and Belle agree to find a way to break the news about the bet to Chloe... Lili says that if Greta doesn't go to Europe tonight, the will is going to be null and void. Austin comes up with a brilliant idea, and tells Greta to pack her things and meet him at the airport... Victor calls Nicole to tell her he got in on that merger deal he told her about. She hopes he appreciates it because other companies have expressed interest in her. Nicole says she and victor are a lot alike. They both enjoy going in for the "kill." hearing this word uttered from Nicole's mouth upsets Victor. Later, after Lucas is through spiking Sami's food, Victor confronts him. Victor wants to know if Lucas told Nicole about Franco's murder...Brandon manages to convince Sami to stay in Italy. They've got to get that tape from Angela. When they spot Angela approaching the cottage, Brandon and Sami "break up." Sami says she is no good for him, but Angela is. This is music to Angela's ears...

Monday 4th December 2000
Greta and Austin arrive at the castle where they are greeted by an eccentric older man named Charles. He goes over the will with Greta, but we get the feeling she's still skeptical, and a bit spooked, by this whole game... Hope is getting close to figuring out why John is so concerned about the baby. She knows that Princess Gina and John were very close in the past. She can't help wondering if that might have something to do with it. One way or another, she's determined to find out the truth... Hattie heads over to see "Dr. Steiner" (Rolf). She tells him she's lost a few pounds and is eager to take over Dr. Marlena's life. But she makes Rolf pinky swear that he won't tell a soul about the disappearance they have planned for Marlena. Later, Rolf tells Hattie that when he's through with her, the men will be lined up around the block... John is just about to come clean to Marlena about hope's baby, but Brady interrupts. He takes shots at both his dad and his stepmom. Brady says he doesn't feel welcome in Marlena's house, and he knows she wants him out of there. Marlena says she doesn't want Belle to be exposed to Brady's attitude. Brady fires back and says he can't wait to tell perfect little Belle just how imperfect her parents really are! He then lashes into John, saying he wouldn't be surprised if Isabella didn't really die of cancer. John probably killed her so he could be with Marlena!... Chloe spends the day at Salem place with Craig. She's truly on cloud nine. Everything is going perfectly in her life right now. She's got great friends like Belle and Shawn, and a terrific guy, Philip. Chloe's in such good spirits she even wants to mend fences with Nancy and Mimi! But this good mood is short lived. Belle, Shawn, and Philip search for Chloe in hopes of finding her before anyone else can tell her the truth about the dance. Unfortunately, though, Jan and her cronies beat them to the punch...

Wednesday 6th December 2000
Brandon panics when he calls home and Nicole tells him that Lucas, Kate, will, and Victor left for europe. Brandon wants to know where exactly they are, but Nicole simply says they didn't tell her. Later, Nicole meets with Mickey and asks him to "shop" her around to rival publishing companies... Kate catches Lucas drinking, but he assures her he isn't an alcoholic. He knows when to say when. Kate sends Lucas off with the will doll. Later, Moroni stops by to see Kate, and she tries to convince him that he shouldn't trust Brandon... Sami befriends Angela and gets her to open up about Roberto. Angela tells her that Roberto confessed to a murder he didn't commit, and she's got taped evidence. As Angela is spilling her guts, Lucas sneaks up and tries to listen in... Hope and Alice stroll though Salem place where Hope is approached by a man who works at the art supply store. He remembers that Hope came in last summer to buy European paints. Hope, realizing this happened when she was Princess Gina, digs for more information. The salesman says Hope was planning to paint a portrait of a couple for their wedding gift. But he also remembers Hope saying that she doubted the groom would be thinking about his bride on their wedding day. Hope is rattled off hearing this information... Marlena is shocked when John tells her that he is the father of Hope's baby. He explains how it all happened in Hawaii while he and Marlena were on their honeymoon. Marlena can't believe it, but John says he's got proof... A DNA sample from the baby matches his. And he stresses that it's very important for Marlena to keep this under wraps. Marlena, however, doesn't know if she can do that... Austin goes after Greta and the two seemingly fall through space. They finally land in a virtual Eden. Greta is freaked and wants to leave, but this is only the first part to their adventure. They later encounter a serpent who tries to tempt Greta with an apple, a'la Adam and Eve. Will she take a bite?

Thursday 7th December 2000
As Shawn, Belle, and Philip continue their search for Chloe, Mimi takes Belle aside and says that this whole thing really has Shawn concerned... Almost as if Chloe was his girlfriend or something. This hits Belle hard, and she is privately upset. Mimi continues to trash talk Chloe, saying that everyone is falling for Chloe's inexperienced, abandoned orphan act. Belle starts to believe maybe Mimi is right... Chloe runs into Brady on the pier, and the two really get into it. Chloe calls Brady repulsive, and this angers him. Meanwhile at the Wesley house, Nancy is a wreck, and Craig tries to be comforting. He tells Nancy that before all this happened, Chloe was truly happy with her life. She even said she was going to try to mend fences with Nancy. Later, Craig goes out to search for Chloe. Will he find her? Hope is upset with Bo's lack of interest in the baby. She thinks Bo's been avoiding her and baby John because he blames her for the child's illness. Bo hotly denies this, saying DiMera is who he blames. That's why he's got to make that monster pay. Later, Hope and Bo realize that they're both going through a tough time right now, but their love will get them through it... Marlena is shocked having learned from John that his DNA matches that of Hope's baby. She can't believe John didn't tell her this sooner. John tries to explain his side of the story, but Marlena can't believe he would deliberately keep this huge secret from her. John finally loses and explodes at Marlena, then storms out. Later, John drowns his anger in alcohol, and Brady comes home to tell Marlena his news...

Friday 8th December 2000
Greta is tempted to take the apple from the serpent, but instead lunges for the serpent and takes a bite out of it. Just when she thinks all is well, she hears her mother's voice coming from the serpent. The snake then morphs into Princess Gina and asks Greta for help, but Austin tries to dissuade Greta. Austin and the serpent engage in a vicious verbal battle, until Austin finally wins. But it's not over yet... Brandon finally gets Sami alone and tells her that Kate, Victor, and Lucas are in Europe! Brandon assumes Kate's been having her calls forwarded. Sami doesn't believe it, but there's only one way to find out. Meanwhile, we catch a glimpse of the document Kate plans on having Victor sign- it's a codicil modifying Victor's last will and testament... Lexie stops by to see Hope, who is still upset about Bo. She wishes he was closer to baby John and just can't figure out why he's so distant. Lexie tries to comfort Hope saying they're just stressed right now, but things will improve... Marlena and Brady really get into it. She tells him that if he doesn't shape up, she's going to kick him out! Later, we get the feeling Brady is going to make Marlena pay for what she said... John is drowning his sorrows at Tuscany when Fay brings Hattie in. Hattie feels out of place, but Fay wants her friend to get out there and meet people. Hattie spots John at the bar and sits down next to him. She begins asking him questions about Marlena, and he gets very annoyed. Later, Marlena shows up and John storms out. Marlena follows John outside where she proceeds to tell him that Brady has no plans of leaving town to go back to college. But Marlena wants him out of that house! John, however, isn't going to let that happen..

Monday 11th December 2000
Marlena and John continue their arguing with regards to Brady. Marlena wants him out, but John thinks she's being unreasonable. Meanwhile, Belle and Brady get into it at home, but we get the feeling they truly care for each other underneath it all... Philip storms into the Kiriakis mansion, upset about what just transpired with Chloe. Nicole uses this situation to her advantage. She calls Victor and gives him a heads up, suggesting that he check in on his son. Victor does so, and Philip is touched that his dad called at just the right time... Nancy is relieved, but then angry when Chloe comes home. She can't believe Chloe would run away like that! It was completely selfish! Chloe says Nancy is the selfish one. She's the one who gave Chloe up for adoption. She's the one who didn't even remember her own daughter's birthday! With that, Chloe runs upstairs in tears. But she gets quite the shock when she opens her bedroom door... Angela and Brandon have a romantic dinner at the restaurant. She is clearly under his spell, until he suggests she let him hear Roberto's confession tape. An upset Angela runs off, but Brandon goes after her. She wants him to prove that he truly loves her. With that, she strips down to nothing and tries to undress Brandon... Sami finishes up her tainted food and collapses to the floor. Kate takes the Will doll and starts to play tricks on Sami again. Sami falls for it and tries to reach "her son," but falls out of the window. Kate picks up will and hides him in the bushes. Will calls out for his mommy. Sami hears this, but doesn't see will. She starts after the doll (which Kate has positioned at the edge of the cliff), but it looks like she might go right over...

Tuesday 12th December 2000
Nicole manages to win a fan in Philip, which is exactly what she was hoping to do. Victor calls her from, Italy, and she really turns it on, flirting madly with him. She then tells him what a great son he has, and that she'll keep her eye on the boy as if he were her own. Chloe is shocked when she sees the birthday gifts scattered across her room. As she opens them, she starts to think about Philip. She can't believe he hasn't stopped by to explain everything. Little does she know, he's outside, trying to convince Craig to let him see her... Marlena and John are horrified when they see Brady roughhousing with Belle. Little do they know, the kids were just goofing off. Marlena lashes out at her stepson and he storms off. Belle explains the situation to her mom, then goes to find her brother. Later, Marlena and John get into it over Brady. John can't believe Marlena thinks the boy is pure evil. He can't help but wondering if she's taking her anger (regarding his sleeping with Princess Gina) out on Brady... Angela gets suspicious of Brandon when he says he doesn't want to make love to her. She begins to think that he's only using her to get Roberto's confession tape. Brandon insists that isn't true. He just wants to wait until the right moment for them to make love. Will Angela buy it? Lucas freaks out when Kate tells him that Sami ran off the cliff. Unfortunately, the poor girl probably fell to her death. Lucas thinks his mom set it up, but Kate hotly denies. Little do they know, Sami's clothing caught one of the branches and she's hanging by a thread...

Wednesday 13th December 2000
Hattie stops by the diner and tells her ex-boss off. Fay is impressed and compliments Hattie. She's really taking charge of her life. This is just the boost Hattie needs. Hattie brings up the topic of plastic surgery, but Fay tries to dissuade her friend from spending her life savings on such a trivial thing. Later, Roman stops by and invites Hattie to have coffee. He notices her weight loss, and we get the feeling Hattie is smitten... Brady and Belle get into it when Brady says that Belle has always been John and Marlena's favorite. Belle argues and the two bicker in true brother-sister fashion. Later, Belle leaves for school, and Brady searches for his dad's secret stash of cash... Nicole, playing the role of mother to Philip, advises the boy to take things slowly with Chloe. He needs to get to know her and be honest with her. Meanwhile, Chloe thanks Nancy for the birthday gifts and apologizes for burning her clothes. Nancy is touched, and it looks as though the two might actually be on good terms. Later, Chloe goes to school and finds herself face to face with Philip... In a private moment, Kate tells Victor they did it! They killed Sami! However, they've still got to pretend it was an accident for Lucas's sake. Lucas enters and wonders if they'll somehow be blamed for this, but Kate assures him that there's no proof they were there. Kate wants to leave for Salem immediately, but Victor isn't going to let that happen... Sami is hanging off the side of the cliff screaming, when Brandon hears her. He ties a rope to a tree and starts to lower himself down to her, but it doesn't look like good luck is on their side...

Thursday 14th December 2000
Philip apologizes to Chloe for everything he's done. Chloe forgives him, and they share a warm embrace. Philip wonders if she'd consider going out with him again, but Chloe says she doesn't know if that's such a good idea. Later, Philip says he's going to prove to Chloe that they can be more than just friends... At the diner, Hattie gets to know Roman a little bit better. In fact, they agree to meet later on. Hattie privately thinks of it as a date, while Roman just wants to tell her the truth that Marlena is his ex-wife. Meanwhile, Stefano tries to persuade Fay to convince Hattie that plastic surgery would be a good thing... Marlena starts the day with Nancy, who offers up some helpful advice. Marlena comments that Nancy would make a good radio show host. This really hits home with Nancy, seeing as how that's her exact plan. Later, Nancy calls her daddy and asks him if he's made any progress with that promise... Belle tells Marlena that Brady wasn't trying to kill her when he held her over the terrace. It's just a game they play. Marlena still insists that Belle keep her distance from Brady. This upsets Belle, and she wonders what's wrong with her mom... Brady returns home with shopping bags galore. John wonders where he got the money to buy everything. Brady lightly says he stole it. Father and son battle it out. Brady storms into his room, but John kicks the door down and drags him out. They argue intensely until Marlena comes home. She calmly tells John that she knows he isn't the problem... it's Brady. John darkens and tells Marlena that maybe she's the problem...

Friday 15th December 2000s
Brandon and Sami fall into the icy water below the cliff. Brandon revives Sami and she tells him about her vision of Will. Brandon tells her there is no way it could be Will, but later thinks that maybe Lucas and Kate are in Italy, too. Brandon thinks Sami should go home, Italy is too dangerous for her. He begins to help her up the cliff, but doesn't see the rock protruding out of her back… Austin and Greta are still trapped in virtual Eden. Austin's generosity helps them pass a test. An evil Sami appears and accuses them of lusting after each other. Sami zaps Greta into quicksand and Austin tries to save her… Belle attempts to get Chloe to open up about Philip, but it's of no use. Later, Philip talks to Chloe about the surprise he has planned for her. Belle talks to Shawn about how disappointed she is of him for making that bet. She sees Brady playing football with Philip and wishes he had fun like that all the time... Shawn tells Hope he is bonding with baby John. This affects Bo and he questions Grandpa Shawn about Ireland. He wants to know all about the DiMera/Brady connection… Kate and Victor celebrate Sami's death, but Lucas is upset. Kate wants to get married before they go home… Lexie goes to the pub to show off the baby to Caroline. She runs into Stefano and admits she doesn't like having to cover about Marlo's death…

Monday 18/12/00
As Victor and Kate celebrate Sami's demise, he says now they can switch their focus to getting married. But that isn't the only good news he has for her. He tells her that he's fully cured of his impotency. Kate is elated and can't wait to hop into bed with him. But their good spirits are interrupted by Lucas, who can't believe they're celebrating after what they just did to Sami! Sami is alive, but still rather out of it. She feels like she's been drugged. Brandon says that's probably not far from the truth. He points out how lethargic she's been. He's on the nose when he suggests that if Sami's hallucinations were more than just that, maybe Will is here... along with Kate, Victor, and Lucas. Later, Brandon saves Sami when he pulls a small shard of rock from her back. She's bleeding badly, but he manages to rush her, with urgency, to the restaurant -- where Kate, Victor, and Lucas are... Marlena and John continue their arguing about Brady and Belle. Hattie witnesses the commotion and thinks Dr. Marlena is even more evil than she thought! Marlena tells John that she wants Brady to get some therapy. And with that, she walks off. John runs into Brady and tears into him with regards to Belle. Brady admits he can be a pain sometimes, but he'd never hurt his sister... The virtual reality continues as Sami-the-Witch taunts and tempts Austin. She gives him a special brew, and lures him into bed. Will Greta be able to rescue him? Grandpa Shawn finally tells Bo that when he gets to Dublin, he should go to Ian's pub. Ian will be able to fill him in. Bo thanks his pop, but we get the feeling Grandpa Shawn is going to do everything he can to make sure Bo doesn't get anywhere. Later, Bo goes home to tell Hope he's leaving soon. She makes him promise he'll be home in time for the baptism.

Wednesday 20/12/00
Kate, Lucas and Victor are shocked when Brandon carries in a half dead Sami to the restaurant. She is revived and taken to the hospital where a loving Brandon stays by her side. Angela tearfully spies on Brandon and sees that he loves Sami, and he will pay! Victor, Kate and Lucas return to the villa. Victor believes they are still in the clear regarding Franco's death because they are the only one's who know about it. Lucas is nervous because he told Nicole. He wants to return to Salem with Will right away. Kate is angry with Sami for ruining her wedding plans, and Victor bites her head off for thinking about marriage at a time like this... Roman tells Abe about Hattie. Nicole appears at the door wanting to talk about Franco's death. She learns that if Victor were to turn in Kate and Lucas he would get off scott free. She reveals nothing that she knows, but Roman gets the sense she is hiding something... Hope confesses to John that Bo doesn't love baby John. She begins to wonder if maybe Bo isn't the father of her child, she asks John if he has any idea who the father could be? Marlena and Belle discuss Brady. Marlena wants Belle to never be alone with Brady, but Belle flips, insisting her brother would never hurt her. Marlena is determined to keep Brady away from her daughter, Brady hears this and vows Marlena will pay... Philip and Brady play basketball together. Philip admits to serenading Chloe, and Brady is surprised to hear it was Victor's idea. As they play it gets a little rough and Brady slams Philip into a wall. Philip gets ticked off and leaves...

Thursday 21/12/00
Chloe tells Nancy that Philip serenaded her. Nancy is surprised and thinks it's obvious the guy cares about her. Chloe opens up and says she doesn't know what she's supposed to be feeling right now. She's confused and doesn't know what to do. Nancy offers her daughter some good advice, but will Chloe take it? Belle stops by to see Shawn. She tells him she's concerned about Brady, John, and Marlena. They've been arguing a lot lately. Marlena is concerned for Belle and doesn't want her hanging around Brady. Shawn says Belle knows Brady better than anyone does. Surely, she knows if he's really a threat. Later, Belle tells Brady she told Shawn that he decided to drop out of college. This sets Brady off... There's a close call as John almost tells Hope the truth, but he changes his mind. Later, after Hope leaves, Marlena says she can't understand why John wants to remember so much about his past. She's starting to think that John wants to go back to that life...and go back to Hope (Gina))! John assures her he doesn't love Hope. And he doesn't want to lose Marlena... Shawn helps Hope out with the baby by feeding him his bottle. But suddenly he starts to panic when it appears the little guy is turning blue... Hattie stops by Fay's house and tells her all about her run-in with Marlena. Later, she calls 'Dr. Steiner' and bombards him with questions regarding the plastic surgery. She then tells Fay she was speaking with the man who's going to help her change her life...

Friday 22/12/00
Greta administers mouth to mouth on Austin, and he finally wakes up. A dove flies down and delivers a message to them: if they are to survive, it will be because they did the righteous and moral thing. Later, Alice Horton appears and tells the two that if they aren't careful the orphans will die, as will Greta and Austin. The two end up on the beach and frolic in the waves, until Greta starts to get pulled under... Sami starts to wake up in the hospital with Brandon by her side. Angela is in the hallway, spying on the two. For Angela's benefit, Sami calls Brandon 'Austin.' She tells 'Austin' she loves him. Brandon plays along, and Angela is thrilled. She bursts into the room and lays a hot and heavy kiss on Brandon. Sami can't help feeling jealous. When the two break from the kiss, Angela announces that she wants to marry Brandon immediately... Moroni stops by to see Victor and Kate, who try to convince him that Angela should keep her distance from Brandon. Moroni, however, says that if his daughter is in love with Brandon, they have his blessing. Later, Victor and Kate figure that Angela must be on the verge of telling Brandon something big, and if she does, they're going to be in deep trouble. Victor says right now their only choice might be having Lucas give Sami custody of Will... Brady takes Belle to his secret place...the railroad trestle. He opens up to his sister and says he used to come there and pretend like his mother was still alive. Later, Brady shows Belle why the place is so dangerous. He jumps on the tracks as a train starts to come closer... John and Marlena spend much of the day arguing. Marlena is still worried about Belle's safety from Brady, but John knows his son would never lay a finger on her. Just when Marlena is about to storm off, John picks her up and says he's taking her home. He wants to prove that things can get back to normal by making love to her...
