The adventure of the kitten
A tiny cat woke up with a start in the middle of his afternoon nap by a bang on a door. Master and mistress were going out. The cat will have the house at his disposal. As soon as he could hear the buzz of their car, the little one jumped over the wall of his red basket on the floor to look around.
The door of the bedroom was ajar, so he got that open with his muzzle easily. "I shouldn't come here, really, but who is saying no to me? I wonder why", wondered the kitten and jumped onto his master and mistress's velvet bed. "Oh! This is so lovely soft! Softer than my pillow! Is this why I mustn't come here? No, I don't think so." The cat creeped on the bed with his dirty paws, noticed a free end of string and started to play with it. He whirled after it. Finally he tried to get the string off his claw.
When that was done the pussy noticed clayey cat-paw-tracks on the bed. "Is there someone here?" he thought. The cat started to trace the tracks. They were very scruffy and full of bends, but they were clear enough to follow over the parquet floor to the door. "Whoever he was, he isn't here anymorel", thought the cat and continued exploring the room.
When he stopped by a black wire of a table lamp he thought: "I wonder where's the mouse of this tail and how long this tail is. I can find it out only by pulling it." The kitten started to pull but he wouldn't manage because of the heavy table lamp. "Are the giant mouses the reason why my masters won't let me come here?" Finally it managed and the table lamp fell of the table with a crash. Luckily the kitten got off with a fright.
Scareing, chasing straingers and pulling giant mouses had made th little one very hungry. So the kitty made his way to his bowl. There was a bowlful of catfood there. When he had eaten all of it he lapped some milk and went to his sleeping basket satisfiedly.
After hesitating for a while the kitten still turned around and left to the bedroom, jumped on the boggy bed and fell asleep happily with an ignorance of after doing so much damage he would be left without food tomorrow.
