Gale Eilola, age 51 is a life long resident of Pelkie. He is married to the former Barbara Vizina of Baraga, has four children and one grandchild.
I was appointed to the Baraga County Board of Commissioners in March of 1992. I have been re-elected to 6 terms serving a total of 12 years.
District 1 of the 5 Districts in the county encompasses most of Baraga Township and now a part of Covington Township from the Plains Road west, due to redistricting from the 2000 census.
Because I'm a life long resident, I've been in touch with a lot of people, not only in the district, but across the county and the Upper Penninsula. |

Also served on the Mission United Lutheran Church council as chair person and vice chair, and the Baraga County Kiwanis. |
