8800 GTX OC2/SLI V'S 9800 GTX/SLI PERFORMANCE TEST
TEST SYSTEM  :  QX6850, 4 GIG CORSAIR DDR26400,  BFG 800W PSU,  ABIT IN9 32X MAX MOTHERBOARD, BFG 8800 GTX OC2 X 2,  BFG 9800 GTX X 2, WINDOWS VISTA PREMIUM 64, WINDOWS XP32 HOME
The results between these 2 cards were very similar, The main jump in performance came from the 9800 GTX in a singe card set up on XP compared to the 8800 GTX
In Vista both the 9800 and 8800 were virtually equal in performance BUT on XP 32 the 8800 gtx sli test beat the 9800 sli test. What i found out when testing the 9800 gtx was that my motherboard did not
detect Nvidia Linkboost which indicated to me that the 9800 gtx do not support likboost unlike the 8800. I dont think linkboost does a great deal anyhow.
The 9800 gtx's operated very quiet during benchmarking unlike the 8800 gtx,s. and used less power.  As to which is best, make your own mind up.
