At present I'm pursuing a management education programme at the Amrita Institute of Management, Coimbatore The programme awards a Post - Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) at the end of a 2-year course. The course is tough, as all Management Programmes are generally accepted to be. With long hours, plenty of cases, and exhaustive syllabi, the course aims for perfection. The faculty are very helpful. The library is HUGE!, and there is internet access. Although, I miss the Pav-Bhaji of Bombay and of course Mummy's cooking. My main aim when I got into this programme, was to reinforce the small amount of Management training that I got during Engineering, (and the larger amount from my Father) to make myself a better engineer. My only hope is that the stress doesn't kill me before that! In this respect, I think I ought to mention the fact that Amrita takes very good care of students. In addition to excellent interaction between students and faculty, we also have daily yoga sessions. I've heard a quote from many elders during this time, "Life is just beginning for you." Maybe if they're right, I've got a lot more to look forward to. Watch this space - see how it turns out.
